Smokebusters go for the juggler
Abstract
Describes the launch of a series of workshops in circus skills for school children who belong to Smokebusters Wales. Summarizes the author′s belief that learning circus skills can be helpful in health education because of their ability to build confidence, provide a sense of achievement and raise the social status of individuals within groups. Gives an account of earlier work with drug prevention workshops for school children. Claims that everyone attending the workshops achieves something and that even teachers learn to spin plates.
