Abstract

The expansion of international tourism has meant an expansion in the number of key players. The airlines, tour operators, hotel chains can be called the facilitators ‐ those who make the travel possible. Then there are the motivators which stimulate the desire to travel and which are therefore more dominant than facilitators. These are education, the media, environmental management, governments and technology. Discusses their role in the development of the tourism industries.
