Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the design and fabrication of magnetic couplings to use for vacuum robots. The permanent magnetic coupling (PMC) is appropriate for torque transmission in ultrahigh vacuum and highly clean environments. However, conventional structures of PMC are always unsuitable to use for vacuum robots.
Design/methodology/approach
Two types of design scheme for radial magnetic couplings are introduced and compared. The major characteristic of the novel design scheme is that the inner part uses a nonmagnetic mantle to enclose the magnets and yoke, and the outer part uses two end closures to position magnets. The locating groove on the end closure may be manufactured as T‐shape or dovetail shape.
Findings
The 3D finite element analysis simulation results and experimental studies have demonstrated that the proposed Design B had a lower contamination rate and a higher transmission efficiency than the Design A.
Research limitations/implications
The limitation of the research to date is that issues of control, path‐planning, and communication have not yet been addressed.
Practical implications
The proposed PMC is successfully applied in vacuum robots which uses combined direct drive techniques and magnetic transmit techniques.
Originality/value
These results suggest that the proposed PMC is suitable for using in vacuum robots.

Abstract
Purpose
Accurate alignment is vital to acquire high‐quality joints with less negative effects on the rest parts of the chip or other components on a board. The purpose of this paper is to develop an integrated laser soldering system, which is accurate, compact, and flexible.
Design/methodology/approach
The system combines an X‐Y stage, a computer vision module and a laser module. It would automatically sense the soldering pads with computer vision, fulfill the alignment of laser beam and soldering pads together with the motion system, and finish the soldering work with laser power.
Findings
Based on the analysis of experimental data, it is found that lens distortion and assembly angular errors of the X‐Y stage play a distinct role on the alignment errors.
Originality/value
The paper proposes an algorithm based on straight line method to reduce image distortion, and a compensation algorithm on the angular errors of the X‐Y positioning stage. Experimental results show that the overall precision is satisfied for fine pitch applications and the system performs well.

Abstract
The purpose of the chapter is to study peculiarities of formation of “green economy” in Russia and to substantiate the perspectives of its development by technological parks. The “green economy” is just appearing in Russia, as its volume is 4% of GDP as of now, with a downward trend for the recent 10 years. Favorable conditions for the formation of “green economy” are created in technological parks due to the attraction of the necessary volume of investments and increased state regulation. Technological park ‘Sinarsky’, West-Siberian innovational center (Tyumen technological park), and technological park of high-tech of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug show “green” initiatives. However, their share in the total structure of technological parks of Russia is only 2%. The volume of “green” investments in technological parks of Russia constitutes RUB 0.58 billion, and the volume of “green” production – RUB 9.153 billion, with 3,980 “green” jobs. The developed authors’ concept and the offered practical recommendations allow for the deeper study of the potential of technological parks in the context of the “green economy” in Russia. According to the forecast, their implementation will allow ensuring achievement of the share of “green” technological parks in their structure at the level of 30%, thus increasing the volume of “green” investments in Russia’s technological parks to RUB 7.888 billion: the volume of “green” production to RUB 124.48 billion, and the number of “green” jobs to 54,128. “Green” development of technological parks will allow increasing the volume of “green” economy in Russia by 3.2% until 2025.

Purpose
To reveal the effective ways for leaders to motivate employees' innovative behaviour in complex environmental situations, the leadership rapport orientation is subdivided into two types of values-based/instrumental rapport orientation. The mechanism of supervisor developmental feedback in mediating between leadership rapport orientation and employees' innovative behaviour and the moderating effect of ambidextrous environments is explored. This paper aims to discuss the aforementioned objective.
Design/methodology/approach
Leadership rapport orientation is divided into value-based and instrumental rapport orientation to reveal effective ways for leaders to motivate employees' innovative behaviour in complex environmental situations.
Findings
The results show that the values-based (instrumental) rapport orientation of leaders impacts employees' innovative behaviour positively (negatively).
Originality/value
Leaders' values-based/instrumental rapport orientation indirectly influences employees' innovative behaviour through supervisor developmental feedback, which positively moderates the relationship between the values-based or instrumental rapport orientation of leaders and employees' innovative behaviour and further moderates the partially mediating role of supervisor developmental feedback between leaders' values-based/instrumental rapport orientation and employees' innovative behaviour.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose is to analyze and discuss the sustainable development (SD) and financing risk assessment (FRA) of resource-based industrial clusters under the Internet of Things (IoT) economy and promote the application of Machine Learning methods and intelligent optimization algorithms in FRA.
Design/methodology/approach
This study used the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm that is analyzed together with the Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm. First, Yulin City in Shaanxi Province is selected for case analysis. Then, resource-based industrial clusters are studied, and an SD early-warning model is implemented. Then, the financing Risk Assessment Index System is established from the perspective of construction-operation-transfer. Finally, the risk assessment results of Support Vector Regression (SVR) and ACO-based SVR (ACO-SVR) are analyzed.
Findings
The results show that the overall sustainability of resource-based industrial clusters and IoT industrial clusters is good in the Yulin City of Shaanxi Province, and the early warning model of GA-based SVR (GA-SVR) has been achieved good results. Yulin City shows an excellent SD momentum in the resource-based industrial cluster, but there are still some risks. Therefore, it is necessary to promote the industrial structure of SD and improve the stability of the resource-based industrial cluster for Yulin City.
Originality/value
The results can provide a direction for the research on the early warning and evaluation of the SD-oriented resource-based industrial clusters and the IoT industrial clusters, promoting the application of SVM technology in the engineering field.

Purpose
This research proposes an innovative fault-tolerant media content list management technology applied to the smart robot domain.
Design/methodology/approach
A fault tolerant Content List Management Unit (CLMU) for real-time streaming systems focusing on smart robot claw machines is proposed to synchronize and manage the hyperlink stored on media servers. The fault-tolerant mechanism is realized by the self-healing method. A media server allows exchanging the hyperlink within the network through the CLMU mechanism.
Findings
Internet users can access the current multimedia information, and the multimedia information list can be rearranged appropriately. Furthermore, the service of the proposed multimedia system should be uninterrupted even when the master media server fails. Therefore, one of the slave media servers enables the Content List Service (CLS) of the proposed CLMU and replaces the defunct master media server.
Originality/value
The recovery time is less than 1.5 seconds. The multimedia transmission is not interrupted while any one of the media servers keeps functioning. The proposed method can serve to stabilize the system of media servers in a smart robot domain.

The advancement of enterprise social networks (ESNs) facilitates information sharing but also presents the challenge of managing information boundaries. This study aims to explore the factors that influence the information-control behavior of ESN users when continuously sharing information.
Design/methodology/approach
This study specifies the information-control behaviors in the “wall posts” channel and applies communication privacy management (CPM) theory to analyze the effects of the individual-specific factor (disposition to value information), context-specific factors (work-relatedness and information richness) and risk-benefit ratio (public benefit and public risk). Data on actual information-control behaviors extracted from ESN logs are examined using multilevel mixed-effects logistic regression analysis.
Findings
The study's findings show the direct effects of the individual-specific factor, context-specific factors and risk-benefit ratio, highlighting interactions between the individual motivation factor and ESN context factors.
Originality/value
This study reshapes the relationship of CPM theory boundary rules in the ESN context, extending information-control research and providing insights into ESNs' information-control practices.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the impact of human capital (HC), intellectual property rights (IPRs) and research and development (R&D) expenditures on total factor productivity (TFP), which leads to economic growth.
Design/methodology/approach
The panel data technique is used on a sample of 16 countries categorized into two groups, namely Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries and, in order to make a comparison for the time period of 2007–2015, the researchers used a fixed effect model as an estimation method for regression.
Findings
The results indicate that HC, IPRs and R&D expenditures appear to be statistically significant and are strong factors in determining changes in TFP and exhibit positive results in all sample sets. Moreover, IPRs alone do not accelerate growth in an economy, especially taking the case of emerging nations.
Originality/value
Considering the importance of CEE and BRIC countries, and inadequate research on these regions with respect to current study’s variables and techniques, the present research provides valuable insights about the importance of HC, IPR and R&D activities and their impact on TFP, which leads to economic growth. IPRs create a fertile environment for R&D activities, knowledge creation and economic development. Distinct nations can attain better economic status via HC, R&D activities, innovation, trade and FDI, although the relative significance of these channels is likely to differ across countries depending on their developmental levels.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to present the obtained analytic solutions of maximal and minimal inter-satellite distances for flying-around satellite formation.
Design/methodology/approach
The relative motion equation is used to express the inter-satellite distance as the function of the orbital elements of two participating satellites for the flying-around satellite formation. Then by taking the derivative of the distance function with respect to the true anomaly, some possible extreme value points are obtained. According to the detailed analysis, the maximal and minimal distance solutions are found. By a reverse process, the expected initial differential orbital elements that generate the required extreme inter-satellite distances are also obtained.
Findings
The maximal and minimal distances of the flying-around formation can be analytically written as the functions of three initial orbital elements differences, i.e. the differential orbital inclination, the differential eccentricity and the differential right ascension. For the given maximal and minimal distances, there are lots of solutions of the initial differential orbital elements, which can produce the expected relative motions.
Research limitations/implications
The solutions of the maximal and minimal inter-satellite distances are only accurate for the circular or near circular reference orbit. For the elliptic reference orbit, there is a need to develop new methods to find the analytic solutions.
Practical implications
The results here can be applied to design the factual flying-around formation with dimension requirements in mission analysis stage.
Originality/value
By using the solutions presented in this paper, the engineers can design the expected flying-around formation with required maximal and minimal inter-satellite distances in a very easy way.
