Abstract
Purpose
A disperse fluorescent yellow paste was mixed with a dispersant naphthalene sulfonic derivative via wet grinding process to prepare thermal transfer ink with good fluorescence. The paper aims to discuss these issues.
Design/methodology/approach
The surface tension, viscosity, pH value, zeta potential, stability and the morphology of ink samples were tested after the storing process.
Findings
The morphology of paste was homogeneous nearly spherical nanoparticles and the particle size was about 100 nm from the transmission electron microscopy (TEM), which was similar to the average particle size obtained from the particle size analyser.
Research limitations/implications
The paste particle size was 126.8 nm after storing at 50°C for one week. The addition of diethylene glycol was conducive to high fluorescent reflectivity and gave good line image quality both in warp and weft directions due to the low viscosity. Inkjet printed polyester fabrics achieved excellent rubbing, laundering and thermal subliming fastnesses.
Originality/value
The polyester fabrics thermal transferred with the ink contained diethylene glycol represented higher fluorescent reflectivity and gave better line image quality both in warp and weft directions. The inkjet printed polyester fabrics showed excellent colour reproducibility and all the fastnesses, including rubbing, laundering and thermal subliming, were higher than Grade 4.

Abstract
Purpose
The aim of this paper was to prepare a stable fluorescent disperse yellow paste by wet grinding process by adding naphthalene sulphonic derivative dispersing agent.
Design/methodology/approach
The dispersants 2-naphthalenesulphonic acid (NNO), naphthalene-sulphonic acid (MF) and benzyl naphthalene sulphonate formaldehyde condensate (CNF) were used to disperse the yellow dye. The particle size of the paste was characterised by particle size analyser. The paste centrifugal stability, diffusion properties, morphology and thermal properties were also tested for assessing its stability which could be helpful to prepare inks with good stability.
Findings
The particle sizes of dye pastes with dispersing agent NNO, MF and CNF were 161.1, 150.0 and 136.0 nm, respectively, after grinding for 6 h. The dye paste grinded with dispersing agent CNF presented good centrifugal and thermal properties. TEM images demonstrated that the morphologies of dye pastes grinded with dispersing agent MF and CNF were homogeneous nearly spherical nanoparticle and rarely generated agglomeration and precipitation.
Originality/value
The paste used for aqueous inkjet ink exhibited excellent thermal stability.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to examine the impact of coworkers’ sexist views on individual citizenship behaviors and performance outcomes and explores how this relationship is affected by the presence of female managers.
Design/methodology/approach
Drawing on diversity management literature and gendered organizational theory, the study analyzes data from 2,166 employees and 141 store managers in an international fast-food chain as well as archival work-unit-level information on performance.
Findings
The results support the hypothesis that peers’ sexist views are negatively associated with employees’ citizenship behavior and performance outcomes. Work units with members holding such views are less likely to achieve performance goals, and individuals who work with peers who hold gender inequality views are less likely to engage in citizenship behaviors. This relationship is particularly pronounced in units managed by male managers.
Research limitations/implications
Our study recognizes the complex and multifaceted nature of gender dynamics in organizations and provides insights into the ways in which these dynamics impact organizational outcomes.
Practical implications
The study’s findings have significant implications for organizational policies and practices, specifically in terms of promoting gender equality and fostering more inclusive work environments through well-designed interventions.
Originality/value
This study is grounded in the gendered organizational theory, which highlights the interplay between gender, gender views and the relational dynamics of psychological, cultural and social dimensions operated within organizations. By examining how gender inequality views among coworkers affect perceived support, citizenship behaviors and performance outcomes, we contribute to the growing body of research in this area.

Abstract
Purpose
Heavy fog results in low visibility, which increases the probability and severity of traffic crashes, and fog warning system is conducive to the reduction of crashes by conveying warning messages to drivers. This paper aims at exploring the effects of dynamic message sign (DMS) of fog warning system on driver performance.
Design/methodology/approach
First, a testing platform was established based on driving simulator and driver performance data under DMS were collected. The experiment route was consisted of three different zones (i.e. warning zone, transition zone and heavy fog zone), and mean speed, mean acceleration, mean jerk in the whole zone, ending speed in the warning zone and transition zone, maximum deceleration rate and mean speed reduction proportion in the transition zone and heavy fog zone were selected. Next, the one-way analysis of variance was applied to test the significant difference between the metrics. Besides, drivers’ subjective perception was also considered.
Findings
The results indicated that DMS is beneficial to reduce speed before drivers enter the heavy fog zone. Besides, when drivers enter a heavy fog zone, DMS can reduce the tension of drivers and make drivers operate more smoothly.
Originality/value
This paper provides a comprehensive approach for evaluating the effectiveness of the warning system in adverse conditions based on the driving simulation test platform. The method can be extended to the evaluation of vehicle-to-infrastructure technology in other special scenarios.
