Abstract
Purpose
This paper outlines a contemporary conceptual framework for the embedding of experiential learning into a business consultancy module. Experiential learning is a fundamental teaching approach that allows students to apply theory into a working business context.
Design/methodology/approach
As a conceptual and not an empirical paper, the methodological approach was to draw upon the literature reviewed and to build a framework to support student learning through a business consultancy module.
Findings
Exploration of the literature suggests that there are four elements critical to student learning in experiential learning environments: action, reflection, social and context. A framework has been developed utilising these elements with the interaction between the factors being key to developing learning.
Research limitations/implications
So far, the framework is conceptual, and further research is needed to explore its use when staff members are developing these types of modules and to understand the interaction of the factors over the course of the student learning experience.
Originality/value
The originality comes from the intersection and interaction between the core factors in experiential learning, which enables this framework to move thinking beyond more static models and hence work in a more fluid student learning environment.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to explore the level enterprise language is articulated within programme level documentation, and then, using EntreComp (Bacigalupo et al., 2016) as a framework, investigate the extent by which curricula is underpinned by enterprise competencies.
Design/methodology/approach
This study adopted a qualitative approach firstly through a desk analysis of undergraduate programme documentation across one UK University (n=60), followed by face-to-face interviews with programme leaders (n=25).
Findings
Findings revealed a lack of reference to enterprise in programme documentation as well as a confusion of the language associated with enterprise and entrepreneurship. However, all participants in the study were able to articulate opportunities afforded to students within the programme to practise entrepreneurial competencies from the EntreComp framework.
Originality/value
Whilst the limitation of this study is that it has been carried out in just one university, the practical implication of these findings provide supporting evidence that the EntreComp framework can be used to build a whole programme approach to embedding enterprise. This remains to be tested in future research. As the EntreComp framework is relatively new, then this piece of research is original as it is amongst the first to report on the framework.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to explore from an employer’s perspective the skills, attributes and capabilities required of a sports graduate, whilst also discovering how a student is expected to demonstrate these skills in the context of a sports organisation.
Design/methodology/approach
This study adopted a qualitative interpretive case study approach through the use of face-to-face interviews with six employers from sports organisations involved in the delivery of sport. Interviews lasted between 30 and 42 minutes and were recorded. This was followed by a thematic review to allow for common themes to be selected and represented. The results were then reviewed and evaluated by a further 15 industry professionals and sports educators.
Findings
The results suggest employers seek skills that are characteristically enterprise/entrepreneurship skills, together with an articulation of a “sports graduate” mindset. This mindset is described by the employers as being something which is demonstrated through a combination of behaviours and attributes. The paper concluded that in the classroom, the use of case studies and challenges, where students have to respond to and solve problems by the very nature of the activity, is optimal.
Originality/value
The originality of this paper lies in both the context of study and the integration of enterprise and entrepreneurship skills that are needed for the changing world of work in sport. The value of the papers is in both the employer’s description of the graduate mindset and also examples of how the skills can be applied in the context of sport.

The purpose of this study is to develop a computerized system that will increase the efficiency and supervision of library activities, thereby providing easy access to library usage for librarians and library users.
Design/methodology/approach
The researchers use the agile methodology to develop and implement the system. PHP, JavaScript, Hypertext Markup Language, Cascading Style Sheets and SQL are the languages used to create the library management system.
Findings
The developed system received an overall rating of 4.42 with a descriptive rating of “Excellent.”
Originality/value
The automated library management system is a computerized system for the public libraries designed in the Philippine setting to make the library’s processes more efficient, reliable and portable especially in times of pandemics.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate applicability of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) powder as a solid lubricant additive in coconut oil and to determine the tribological behavior of PEEK rubbed with DIN2080 tool steel, under prepared green lubricating condition.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, tiribological performance of PEEK against the DIN2080 tool steel is investigated with green lubricant. Coconut oil was used as green lubricant and 4 per cent wt. h-BN powder was added as lubricant additive into the coconut oil. Reciprocal pin-plate tribological test were applied under dry, coconut oil and coconut oil+h-BN lubrication condition. Friction coefficients were recorded and wear behavior of the samples investigated by mass loss measurement and topographical inspection of wear track by optical profilometer.
Findings
Using coconut oil as lubricant provided 80 per cent reduction of friction coefficient and 33.4 per cent reduction of wear rate. Addition of h-BN into the coconut oil provide 84 per cent reduction of friction coefficient and 56 per cent reduction of wear rate. The results showed that vegetable oil is promising lubricant for sustainable manufacturing. h-BN serves to increase lubricant performance and decrease wear of the surfaces.
Practical implications
Petrochemical lubricants are one of the major sources of environmental pollution and health hazards. Development and use of environmental and health friendly lubricants support sustainability and reduce wear, friction and energy consumption. With this consciousness, recent studies have focused on green tribology and green lubricants such as vegetable oils, ionic liquid bio-lubricants and bio-based polymers.
Originality/value
In literature study coconut oil was proposed as green lubricant while h-BN powder was proposed as solid lubricant. However, applicability of h-BN powder in coconut oil has not been explored yet. Moreover, wear and friction property of PEEK material with DIN 2080 tool steel pair surface has not been studied yet with green lubricants.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the technology behind RFID systems, identify the applications of RFID in various industries, and discuss the technical challenges of RFID implementation and the corresponding strategies to overcome those challenges.
Design/methodology/approach
Comprehensive literature review and integration of the findings from literature.
Findings
Technical challenges of RFID implementation include tag cost, standards, tag and reader selection, data management, systems integration and security. The corresponding solution is suggested for each challenge.
Research limitations/implications
A survey type research is needed to validate the results.
Practical implications
This research offers useful technical guidance for companies which plan to implement RFID and we expect it to provide the motivation for much future research in this area.
Originality/value
As the infancy of RFID applications, few researches have existed to address the technical issues of RFID implementation. Our research filled this gap.
