Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of several constructs on young customers’ consumption of solar energy appliances in an emerging market by extending the theory of planned behavior (TPB).
Design/methodology/approach
This study collected primary data from 885 young customers in an emerging market, that is, Vietnam. Subsequently, this study used partial least squares structural equation modeling to investigate the relationships between examined variables.
Findings
The results indicated that personal innovativeness, environmental knowledge and renewable energy knowledge significantly improved attitudes toward solar energy appliances. In addition, purchasing intention is promoted by subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. Contradictorily, the perceived functional risk is a significant barrier to purchasing intention. It also negatively moderates two associations: attitude and purchasing intention, attitude and positive word-of-mouth. Despite being proven to influence word-of-mouth positively, attitude has no significant impact on purchasing intention.
Originality/value
These findings suggested several implications for enterprises, technology providers and policymakers to develop renewable energy appliance consumption.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of several factors on customer satisfaction and intention of reusing ride-hailing services that is a new type of passenger urban transport service.
Design/methodology/approach
This research applied the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling analysis method to examine the measurement scale and to analyze the primary data collected from 388 passengers in Vietnam.
Findings
This study demonstrates that three dimensions of perceived value, namely, functional value, hedonic value and economic value, positively influence customer satisfaction. The other dimension of perceived value, which is social value, has an ambiguous effect on satisfaction. In addition, personal innovativeness promotes all dimensions of perceived value. In particular, this study highlights that customer satisfaction and corporate image positively impact reuse intention, and corporate image moderates the relationship between customer satisfaction and reuse intention.
Originality/value
This study enriches knowledge about customer behavior using services based on the sharing economy business model. In particular, theoretical and practical implications are provided for researchers and enterprises to find suitable strategies for business.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to understand pathways to success for food video bloggers (food vloggers) by identifying the drivers of positive reception among audiences. It examines how entertainment, information and interaction values affect attitudes toward food videos and vloggers. Additionally, it investigates the potential for product placement by studying the effects of attitudes toward food videos and vloggers on consumers’ behavioral intention regarding purchasing featured food ingredients.
Design/methodology/approach
An integrated model informed by theories (uses and gratification and stimulus-organism-response) was developed. An online survey was administered to 339 Vietnamese social media users. The data were analyzed using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM).
Findings
The results show that food videos’ entertainment and information value positively impact the attitude toward food videos. However, the interaction value does not have a significant impact. All three values (entertainment value, information value and interaction) impact the attitude toward food vloggers. Both attitudes significantly influence purchase intention, showing that there is a pathway to product placement. The frequency of social media use can moderate these relationships, with a negative effect on the attitude toward food videos and a positive effect on the attitude toward food vloggers.
Originality/value
These findings provide insights into vlogger success pathways, not only in terms of audience reception but also in terms of product placement. This study offers comprehensive suggestions on pathways for success that are interesting for vloggers, food business operators, restaurant managers and audiences on how to design effective food videos and potentially encourage consumer purchases. These pathways can also be valuable for other behaviors, such as food safety advice and food waste reduction.

Abstract
Purpose
Drawing on social exchange theory, this paper aims to clarify the influences of ethical leadership (EL) on knowledge-sharing (KS) behaviours of employees through the mediating roles of affective- and cognitive-based trust in leadership. This work further offers deeper insight into the moderating mechanism of distributive justice in the EL–KS relationship.
Design/methodology/approach
Structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to investigate the influential degree of EL, aspects of employee trust in leadership and distributive justice on employee behaviours towards tacit and explicit knowledge via data collected from 339 participants in 75 Vietnamese firms.
Findings
The empirical findings reveal that employee trust in leadership positively mediates the relationship between EL and KS behaviours. In particular, distributive justice significantly fosters the impacts of EL on tacit and explicit KS behaviours.
Practical implications
Managers and practitioners should strengthen EL practices to build and maintain employee trust in them for promoting KS behaviours. In addition, research highlights the necessity of establishing distributive justice in organisations to enhance the effect of EL on KS behaviours of employees.
Originality/value
This paper is unique in its attempts to advance the insights on the theory of leadership and knowledge management by investigating the different moderated-mediation mechanisms in the relationship between EL and specific aspects of KS behaviours.

Abstract
Purpose
Drawing upon the resource-based view of the firm, this paper aims to develop and empirically validate a model that examines the relationships between technical knowledge management infrastructure (TKMI), social KM infrastructure (SKMI) and competitive advantage provided by KM (CAPKM). The authors argue that KM process capabilities account for the direct effects of TKMI and SKMI on CAPKM.
Design/methodology/approach
The study used partial least squares —structural equating modelling (SEM) to empirically test the hypotheses using a sample of 251 firms from an emerging economy. The results were then confirmed using the bias-corrected bootstrap procedure. The study also conducted two robustness checks including examining a competing moderation model and performing fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA), a set–theoretic method that examines how causal conditions combine into all possible configurations of binary states to explain the desired outcome.
Findings
The findings show that TKMI and SKMI have positive effects on CAPKM. In addition, KM process capabilities mediate the direct effects of TKMI and SKMI on CAPKM.
Originality/value
This paper complements and advances previous research in several ways. Firstly, the paper develops a conceptual model that depicts the interrelationships between TKMI, SKMI, KM process capabilities and CAPKM. Secondly, this paper suggests the critical role of the “action” component (i.e. KM process capabilities) that capitalises on the KM resources in the creation of CAPKM.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the influence of human resource management (HRM) practices on two aspects of innovation capability namely product and process innovation. It also attempts to clarify the HRM-innovation relationship by examining the mediating roles of specific components of knowledge management capability (KMC) namely knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing and knowledge application.
Design/methodology/approach
This research used the quantitative method and structural equation modeling (SEM) approach to examine hypotheses with data obtained by survey from 325 participants in 98 Vietnamese firms.
Findings
The empirical findings show the evidence on the mediating roles of components of KMC in the HRM-innovation relationship and indicate that HRM practices have a greater impact on product innovation compared to its effects on process innovation. In contrast, all three components of the KMC produce larger impacts on process innovation than on product innovation. In particular, it highlights the key role of knowledge sharing in predicting product and process innovation in comparison to the roles of knowledge acquisition and knowledge application.
Practical implications
CEOs/managers should practice and manage their human resource to foster organizational capability for product and process innovation directly or indirectly via enhancing aspects of KMC namely knowledge acquisition, sharing and application.
Originality/value
By investigating the mediating mechanisms of specific components of KMC, the paper has significantly contributed to advancing the body of knowledge of innovation theory and providing deeper insights on the correlation between HRM practices and aspects of innovation capability namely product and process innovation.

Abstract
Purpose
Due to the vital role of innovation for firms to respond to the change and achieve competitive advantage, the purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of knowledge-oriented leadership (KOL) on innovation performance via the mediating role of knowledge sharing (KS). This study also explores the moderating role of organizational justice in the relationship between KS and innovation performance.
Design/methodology/approach
Analysis of moment structures and structural equation modeling are applied to examine the relationship among the latent factors in the proposed research model using data collected from 335 participants in 121 manufacturing and service firms in Vietnam.
Findings
The findings revealed that KOL serves as a key precursor to foster innovation performance directly or indirectly through active and passive KS behaviors. In addition, the paper highlights the moderating role of organizational justice in strengthening the impact of KS activities on innovation performance.
Research limitations/implications
By highlighting the important role of KOL for stimulating KS behaviors, this paper provides a valuable understanding and novel approach for firms to improve innovation performance. The research findings support the idea that building a climate of justice is crucial to enhance the effects of KS on innovation performance.
Originality/value
This study contributes to bridging the research gaps in the literature and advances the insights of how KOL directly and indirectly stimulates innovation performance via mediating roles of active and passive KS processes under the climate of justice.

Abstract
Purpose
The aim of this study is to investigate how corporate social responsibility (CSR) contributes to organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE) among employees in hotel industry. Corporate green brand should be built not only from the provision of green products or services but also from green behavior among employees in their daily activities. This study also seeks the understanding of the moderating effects of corporate entrepreneurship (CE) and employees’ attachment styles on the relationship between CSR and OCBE.
Design/methodology/approach
The data for testing the study model were harvested from respondents in the hotel industry in Vietnam business context.
Findings
The research results unveiled the positive effect of CSR on OCBE and the roles of CE and employee attachment styles in moderating this effect.
Research limitations/implications
Hospitality organizations should integrate CSR initiatives into their sustainable strategy to shape employee OCBE. Entrepreneurial values should also be cultivated among employees to drive them to further respond to CSR initiatives and engage in OCBE.
Originality/value
This study expands CSR and green research streams by identifying the effect of CSR on OCBE among hotel employees as well as moderation mechanisms of CE and employee attachment styles for such an effect.
