Abstract
The ECU safety system is such that all internal and external fault monitoring circuit outputs are consolidated and passed through a short time‐constant filter to eliminate transient effects. Once this signal appears a 500mS time‐out is started. At the end of this period a lane changeover is initiated together with a cockpit fault warning. If the fault condition is removed during the time‐out period, it is reset.

Abstract
The lead engine on the Boeing 757 aircraft is the Rolls‐Royce RB211‐535. The transient operation of this engine is largely dependent on the operation of its multiple bleed valves which are located at several different stages of the Intermediate and High Pressure Compressor spools.

Abstract
This paper traces the history of Dowty Electronics' involvement in B.I.T.E. over the last ten years; it describes the techniques used, successes and failures, and customer reactions. Applications include the full authority engine control for the Olympus 593 in Concorde, the high integrity wing flaps controller for the BAe 146 shorthaul jet, the engine spool speed limiter for the RB‐211–524 in the Boeing 747, and the high integrity engine bleed valve controller for the RB‐211–535 in the Boeing 757 aircraft.

Abstract
Despite the title of this bibliography, there was not a truly underground press in the United States during the 1960s and 1970s. The phrase is amisnomer, reputedly coined on the spur of the moment in 1966 by Thomas Forcade when asked to describe the newly established news service, Underground Press Syndicate, of which he was an active member. The papers mentioned in this bibliography, except for the publications of the Weather Underground, were not published by secretive, covert organizations. Freedom of the press and of expression is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution, although often only symbolically as the experience of the undergrounds will show, and most of the publications that fall into the “underground” described herein maintained public offices, contracted with commercial printers, and often used the U.S. Postal Service to distribute their publications.

Abstract
The specific difficulty in my country to treat all the problematic links to the questions of diversity and segregation is due to the Republican Ideology, which is strong in France and includes no recognition of minorities in the public sphere. In addition, there is a lack of statistics and studies on racial representation. This fact, which my colleagues questioned, has to be understood as a first step to comprehending the state of diversity in higher education in France.
