Abstract
Purpose
In accord with the literature reviews, there is not a promising examination regarding the several straight and curved cracks interaction with arbitrary arrangement in the rectangular FGP plane. The purpose of this paper is to consider the effect of crack length, position of the point load, material non-homogeneity constant and also the arrangement of cracks on the resulting field intensity factors.
Design/methodology/approach
First of all, in order to obtain a set of Cauchy singular integral equations, both the dislocation method and the finite Fourier cosine transform technique are applied. Using the corresponding solution to these equations, the dislocation densities on the crack surfaces are then obtained. Considering the results, both the stress intensity factors (SIFs) and electric displacement intensity factors (EDIFs) for a vertical crack and the interaction between two straight and curved cracks, which have an arbitrary configuration, are determined.
Findings
The numerical examples are represented in order to illustrate the interesting mechanical and electrical coupling phenomena induced by multi-crack interactions. At the end, the effects of the material non-homogeneity constant, the crack length and the cracks arrangements on the SIFs and EDIFs are investigated.
Originality/value
The solutions are obtained in series expansion forms which may be considered as Green’s functions in an FGP rectangular plane possessing multiple cracks. The technique of Green’s function provides the ability to analyze multiple cracks having any smooth configuration.

Abstract
This paper applies the directional distant function and the meta-frontier to analyze the efficiency and technology gap ratio (TGR) of 20 publicly traded restaurant companies based on the stock market of the United States (US) from 2009 to 2016. The efficiency scores and TGRs are first computed by restaurant types (i.e. quick-service and full-service) and then by marketing strategies (i.e. single-brand and multi-brand). There are three major findings. First, employee utilization has the greatest room for improvement, and restaurant owners and managers should prioritize the improvement of this input. Second, the average TGR of quick-service restaurants (QSRs) is higher than that of full-service restaurants (FSRs), indicating that the inputs of FSRs need to be adjusted in comparison to QSRs. Third, the average TGR is higher in restaurants with a multi-brand strategy in comparison to a single-brand strategy, and the inputs of multi-brand strategy restaurants need to be adjusted accordingly.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to analyze numerically the nanofluid natural convection inside a square enclosure with two L-shaped heaters using lattice Boltzmann method.
Design/methodology/approach
An environmentally friendly nanofluid, clove-treated graphene nanoplatelet (CGNP), is used to study the enhancement of heat transfer. Six various heaters configurations are considered and effects of nanoparticle concentration (0–0.1%) and Rayleigh number (10^3–10^6) on streamlines, isothermal lines and heat transfer parameters are studied. The developed computational code has been validated using mesh sensitivity analysis and numerical data of other authors.
Findings
It is observed that in contrast to distilled water, CGNP/water nanofluid is an efficient coolant and the Nusselt number is increased as the nanoparticle concentration and Rayleigh numbers increment. The nanoparticle concentration cannot change the flow pattern inside the enclosure. However, the Rayleigh number and heaters configuration can change the flow pattern significantly. Several heaters configurations (Cases 1–4) related to the symmetry of geometrical shape and corresponding boundary conditions, illustrate the symmetry of streamlines and isotherms about the vertical line (X = 0.5). The formation of vortices inside the enclosure is affected by the raising heat plume above the heaters. Moreover, at different Rayleigh numbers, the relative magnitude of average Nu for various cases is different. At Ra = 103, the energy transport characteristic depends on the relative location of heaters and cold walls, and the order of average Nusselt number is Case 3 ˜ Case 4 ˜ Case 6 > Case 1 ˜ Case 2 ˜ Case 5. However, at Ra = 106, an influence of thermal convection mechanism on heat transfer is significant and the ranking of average Nusselt number is Case 1 ˜ Case 4 > Case 5 > Case 6 > Case 2 > Case 3.
Originality/value
The originality of the research lies in both the study of thermogravitational convection in a closed chamber with two L-shaped heaters, and the analysis of the influence of control parameters for an environmentally friendly nanoliquid on electronics cooling process.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to consider natural convection of a nanofluid inside of a C-shaped cavity using Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM).
Design/methodology/approach
Effects of some geometry and flow parameters consisting of the aspect ratio of the cavity, aspect ratio of the heat source; Rayleigh number (Ra = 103 − 106) have been investigated. The validity of the method is checked by comparing the present results with ones from the previously published work.
Findings
The results demonstrate that for Ra = 103, the aspect ratio of the heat source has more influence on the average Nusselt number in contrast to the case of Ra = 106. Contrary to the fact that the average Nusselt number increases non-linearly more than twice because of the increase of the aspect ratio of the enclosure at Ra = 103, the average Nusselt number has a linear relation with the aspect ratio for of Ra = 106. Therefore, upon increasing the Rayleigh number, the efficiency of the aspect ratio of the cavity on the thermal convection, gradually diminishes.
Originality/value
The authors believe that all the results, both numerical and asymptotic, are original and have not been published elsewhere.

Abstract
Purpose
Vocational education and entrepreneurship are constantly increasing in research fields. However, what is the current state of vocational education and entrepreneurial research? Where will the area go next? These questions are still unanswered; thus, this study tries to map the research landscape of the study area to get insights and provide directions for future research.
Design/methodology/approach
This research collected extant literature on vocational education and entrepreneurship using Scopus scientific database. Bibliometric analysis has been performed to extract insights from 175 documents published in the study area. Content analysis on the extant literature has also been committed to getting contextual information and developing an integrated research framework for future researchers.
Findings
The bibliometric analysis revealed that training, career choice, curriculum, self-employment, student psychology, better job opportunity, learning environment and innovation are the most discussed in the vocational education and entrepreneurship literature. Developed nation’s strong presence, indicated by the number of publications in the field.
Originality/value
This study significantly contributes to entrepreneurship by disclosing advances in the literature and some of the most active research fronts in this sector, delivering insights that have yet to be wholly appreciated or appraised. The study also developed an integrated framework that could benefit various vocations, education and entrepreneurship stakeholders.

Abstract
Purpose
Universities face challenges due to the absence of artificial intelligence (AI) integration in entrepreneurship education (EE) and its incubation centers for young startups. Making a business plan for their innovative enterprises, which includes market analysis, financial projections, marketing strategy and an operations plan, are a few of the toughest tasks they may face. Aspiring students can make it simple to launch their dream business by integrating AI tools. Hence, this study aims to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) to examine the global trend of the transformation of EE with AI and determine the necessity of integrating AI in university incubation centers as a potential future research direction.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, the authors conducted an SLR method to investigate the transformation of EE with AI. This review employed a bibliometric analysis covering the period of 1993–2023 and utilized articles published in scientific journals available in the SCOPUS database as our data source.
Findings
There is an enormous potential for research on EE using cutting-edge AI in developed and developing nations. There is a lack of studies exploring AI integration into university incubation centers. Hence, there are possible future directions for research into integrating AI into university incubation centers using cutting-edge tools like chatbots, ChatGPT, ChatGen and other AI that will help to develop a comprehensive business plan for students aspiring entrepreneurial venture startups.
Research limitations/implications
The study’s research was limited using the Scopus database’s core collection, which may ignore other significant research articles. Therefore, the study’s scope can be constrained due to the narrow search parameters. The study, however, tries to establish the importance of its research by offering a thorough review and evaluation of AI in EE.
Practical implications
There is significance of incorporating AI into EE to foster an EE culture and realize its potential benefits. To transform incubation centers and promote aspirant entrepreneurs in the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), higher education institutions (HEIs) should strategically adopt AI.
Originality/value
This study presents a novel viewpoint by investigating the distinction in AI perception and usage among educators, advocating the incorporation of AI in university incubation centers to help entrepreneurial students. It contributes uniqueness and innovative approaches to early startup issues in EE.

Abstract
Purpose
Taking a co-creation perspective and integrating knowledge-based and resource-based perspectives, the authors examine the role of customer participation in organizational performance and project success. The authors also investigate the mediating role of knowledge integration and the moderating role of requirement risk for these relationships in uncertain contexts.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors undertook two studies. The first study was carried out in 2018 in which the authors drew on survey data from 150 information technology (IT) sector employees and examined the mediating role of knowledge integration in the relationship of customer participation with organizational performance and project success. In the second study undertaken in 2020, the authors drew on data from 92 IT and telecom sector employees and examined the moderating role of requirement risk in the relationship between customer participation and knowledge integration. Study 2 was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic when employees were largely working from home and were more sensitive to risks and uncertainty about the scope and system requirements. Both studies were survey-based, and analysis was carried out using structural equation modeling.
Findings
The authors’ two-study examination indicated that knowledge integration positively mediates the relationship of customer participation with organizational performance and project success during the co-creation process. Furthermore, the authors demonstrate that when requirement risks are high, customer participation relationship with knowledge integration is weaker.
Originality/value
The authors show that integrating customer knowledge is critical to project success and organizational performance. By identifying risk uncertainties and environmental contingencies, the authors highlight the constraints of customer participation for knowledge integration, organizational performance and project success. The authors provide some key study findings based on survey data obtained from project teams during two periods (normal and pandemic).

The purpose of this study is to provide a bibliometric analysis of the Journal of Money Laundering and Control (JMLC) from 2010 to 2021 and map its way forward.
Design/methodology/approach
A range of bibliometric techniques have been used to analyse the performance of JMLC from Volume 14 (Issue 1) to Volume 24 (Issue 4). The Scopus database has been used to analyse the documents of JMLC. A total of 294 documents are reviewed. The bibliographic data has been analysed using the software VOS viewer and R-studio (Biblioshine) to assess the trend of publications, word growth, keyword co-occurrence, citation analysis, most prolific authors and authors’ impact.
Findings
JMLC’s academic contributions, influence and impact have grown progressively. The thematic structure of the journal has evolved into six bibliographic clusters, noted as prevention of corruption due to money laundering; compliance and regulation of money laundering; customer due diligence; role of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) in the financial system of developing countries; control of terrorism and terrorist financing; and role of money laundering in the proceeds of crime.
Research limitations/implications
The constraint of this endeavour largely arises from its selection of bibliographic data being confined to Scopus.
Practical implications
The results of the study would help the current and future authors to understand the emerging themes in the field of money laundering and control. They are also going to help the editors of the journals of this domain to understand the emerging themes and how the published documents are going to contribute the society, throwing light on the controlling and compliance part of money laundering. Future research directions are provided in tackling the problem of money laundering, corruption, terrorism, crime, etc. with the help of financial intelligence, strong FATF all around the world, machine learning, Bitcoin exchange management and global knowledge management.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first objective assessment of the journal. Thus, the results of the study are useful to past and prospective authors, editorial board members, editors, readers and reviewers to gain a one-stop understanding of anti-money laundering actions through the contributions of JMLC.

Purpose
Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques are decision support systems that provide systematic approaches to solve hospitality and tourism (H&T) problems while minimizing the risk of failure. However, less is known about the application of MCDM techniques in H&T research. This study aims to systematically assess the use of MCDM techniques in H&T research to classify its current application and determine its application potential for H&T research.
Design/methodology/approach
This study used bibliometric analysis to examine all published MCDM studies focused on H&T industries, since 1997. In addition, topic modelling was used to discover key concepts. Finally, top cited studies in terms of total citations per year and total citations were qualitatively reviewed for more insights.
Findings
The findings revealed an ongoing interest in applying MCDM techniques in H&T research. Specifically, the extension of fuzzy theory in MCDM techniques is burgeoning among H&T researchers. However, a certain number of MCDM techniques seem to be ignored in this field with a repetitive application of MCDM techniques in particular areas.
Research limitations/implications
The data for the current research was solely retrieved from Scopus and other databases were not included. Therefore, future research is called for to re-examine the study by considering data from various databases.
Originality/value
This study contributes to extant H&T literature by identifying the most prolific and influential countries, journals, publications and trends by applying MCDM techniques in H&T research, and elucidating the implications and characteristics of MCDM techniques in H&T research.

Abstract
Purpose
In this study, we aim to investigate entrepreneurial intention (EI) among potential entrepreneurs who were students at Pakistan’s higher education institutes (HEIs) of technical and vocational education and training (TVET).
Design/methodology/approach
We used a quantitative and correlational method in this study, and we based its theoretical framework on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) and the entrepreneurial event model (EEM). We based this study’s findings on 367 samples collected from Pakistan’s HEI TVET students who were potential entrepreneurs.
Findings
By employing path analysis, the findings reveal that TPB constructs, such as personal attitudes (PA), subjective norms (SN) and perceived behavioral control (PBC), have a positive and significant effect on EI. The findings show, also, that EEM constructs, such as perceived desirability (PD), perceived feasibility (PF) and propensity to act (PT) are positive and significant predictors of EI. Moreover, self-efficacy (SE) and the quality of TVET (QTT) positively and significantly affect EI.
Practical implications
This study’s findings support the improvement of Pakistan’s HEIs in developing TVET to enhance individuals’ skills and, ultimately, to create employment and socioeconomic circumstances. They also assist Pakistan’s HEIs in developing EI among their TVET potential entrepreneurs to ensure that they are sufficiently equipped for the job markets.
Originality/value
This study’s findings empirically confirm that TPB, EEM, SE and the QTT provide an integrated path for Pakistan’s entrepreneurs.
