Abstract
Purpose
In mobile banking (m-banking), understanding the factors contributing to customer satisfaction is crucial for bank managers to design effective strategies for enhancing the uptake of mobile banking services. This study assesses the relationships between quality, technology acceptance and credibility factors and behavioural outcomes (actual use, continuance intention and loyalty) and satisfaction with m-banking. It further investigates the moderating influence of economy type, innovation level, connectivity level and sample size on all these relationships.
Design/methodology/approach
The study employs a meta-analysis technique and reviews 54 published studies to investigate the antecedents and consequences of satisfaction with m-banking.
Findings
The study finds a significant relationship between satisfaction with m-banking and quality, technology acceptance and credibility factors and behavioural outcomes. It concludes that the moderating effect of economy type, innovation level, connectivity level and sample size partially moderate the majority of the hypothesized relationships.
Research limitations/implications
Drawing on a comprehensive literature review, this study presents a novel framework elucidating the antecedents and behavioural outcomes of satisfaction with mobile banking. It contributes to the literature by exploring the moderating effects of sample size and country context on the relationships between these factors, presenting important implications for future mobile banking research.
Practical implications
This study has practical implications for m-banking service providers, offering insights into the factors that drive user satisfaction with mobile banking and highlighting the need for tailored strategies in different country contexts.
Originality/value
This study examines the effects of factors leading to satisfaction and the subsequent outcomes within the context of m-banking. The findings offer fresh perspectives that can be valuable for managers and policymakers, enabling them to enhance customer satisfaction in the realm of m-banking.

Purpose
In mobile banking (m-banking), knowing and understanding trust-related factors can enable bank managers to design suitable strategies for enhancing its overall uptake. Based on this premise, the present study assesses the relationship of trust in m-banking with technology acceptance and use factors, quality factors, risk factors and a personal factor as well as behavioral outcomes. The study further investigates the moderating influence of Hofstede’s cultural dimensions on these relationships.
Design/methodology/approach
The present study synthesizes the outcomes of 63 quantitative studies on trust in m-banking by using the meta-analysis technique.
Findings
The study finds a significant relationship of trust in m-banking with technology acceptance and use factors, quality factors, risk factors, a personal factor and behavioral outcomes. Additionally, Hofstede’s cultural dimensions, namely power distance, individualism/collectivism, masculinity/femininity and uncertainty avoidance, significantly moderate the majority of the hypothesized relationships.
Research limitations/implications
By reviewing the extant literature, this study provides a comprehensive framework that explains the antecedents and behavioral outcomes of trust in m-banking and determines how these relationships effectively vary across cultures.
Practical implications
The study helps m-banking service providers to understand how trust in m-banking can be enhanced. The study also shows which factors are more impactful in a particular culture.
Originality/value
This is an original study that contributes to the m-banking marketing literature.

This chapter examines the integration of Industry 4.0 (IR 4.0) technologies and sustainability, proposing a people-centric strategy to align industrial progress with environmental responsibility. Through a synthesis of scholarly insights and practical applications, we delve into the potential of Industry 4.0 to drive economic, social, legal, and environmental sustainability while addressing key challenges and limitations. Acknowledging these obstacles associated with IR 4.0 implementation, including employment displacement and data security risks, we advocate for collaborative efforts among governments, businesses, and society, highlighting the imperative of optimizing the advantages conferred by IR 4.0 while mitigating its adverse effects on sustainability. It calls for strategic investments in education, innovation, and social protection mechanisms to navigate this transition while ensuring equitable and sustainable development for all stakeholders. As these technologies intertwine, it becomes increasingly crucial to establish regulatory frameworks that can endorse the “rule of law” in this ever-evolving legal landscape. Ensuring fairness and effectiveness in regulation is key to navigating this emergent reality. Purpose
Since the liberalization policy of 1991, India has focused on export-led growth. However, the performance of international trade remains poor. This study aims to examine the role of credit constraints on the choice of Indian manufacturing firms to borrow in foreign currency. First, it explores the role of export activities in foreign currency borrowing (FCB). Second, it investigates how credit constraints forced these firms for foreign currency loans.
Design/methodology/approach
The study analysed data from 1,412 firms listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in the manufacturing sector, covering the period from 1991 to 2022. A random effects probit model was used to examine the role of credit constraints on FCB, incorporating the influence of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) status and export activities. Additionally, a two-step system-generalized method of moment was used for robustness checks.
Findings
Export activities significantly influence FCB, with exporting firms showing a higher propensity to borrow foreign currency compared to domestically operating firms because of the increased funding needs of export activities. Larger firms are more likely to secure FCB than MSMEs, benefiting from collateral advantages. MSME exporting firms exhibit a higher tendency to borrow in foreign currency compared to large exporting firms.
Research limitations/implications
This study focuses on firm-level data and considers only demand-side credit constraints. It does not examine supply-side credit constraints affecting FCB.
Social implications
This study underscores the credit constraints faced by MSME exporters in the domestic market, leading them to rely on FCB. These insights are valuable for policymakers aiming to reduce MSMEs' dependency on FCB and enhance their export performance.
Originality/value
The findings highlight that MSME exporting firms are more inclined to borrow in foreign currency than their larger counterparts. This tendency is driven by the credit constraints MSMEs face because of asymmetric information and underdeveloped financial markets, which compel them to seek FCB.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate propagation characteristics of seismic waves at the welded interface of an elastic solid and unsaturated poro-thermoelastic solid.
Design/methodology/approach
A theoretical formulation of partially saturated poro-thermoelastic solid is used in this study established by Zhou et al. (2019). The incidence of two primary waves (P and SV) is taken. The incident wave from the elastic solid induces two reflected waves and five refracted waves. Due to viscous pore fluids, partially saturated poro-thermoelastic solid behave dissipative, whereas elastic solid behaves non-dissipative. As a result, both reflected and incident waves are homogeneous. However, all the refracted waves are inhomogeneous. A non-singular system of linear equations is formed by the coefficients of reflection and refraction for a specified incident wave. The energy shares of various reflected and refracted waves are determined by using these reflection and refraction factors. Finally, a sensitivity analysis is performed, and the effect of critical variables on energy partitioning at the interface is observed. The numerical example shows that throughout the process of reflection/refraction, the energy of incidence is conserved at all angles of incidences.
Findings
This study demonstrated two refracted (homogeneous) and five refracted (inhomogeneous) waves due to the incident wave from elastic solid. The reflection and refraction coefficients and partitioning of incident energy are acquired as a part of diverse physical parameters of the partially saturated poro-thermoelastic media. The interference energies between unlike pairs of refracted waves have been discovered due to the dissipative behavior of unsaturated poro-thermoelastic solid.
Originality/value
The sensitivity of different energy shares to various aspects of the considered model is graphically analyzed for a specific numerical model. The energy balance is maintained by combining interaction energy and bulk wave energy shares.

Abstract
Purpose
Significant developments in the service sector have been brought about by Industry 4.0. Automated digital technologies make it possible to upgrade existing services and develop modern industrial services. This study prioritizes critical factors for adopting Industry 4.0 in the Indian service industries.
Design/methodology/approach
The author identified four criteria and fifteen significant factors from the relevant literature that have been corroborated by industry experts. Models are then developed by the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) and analytical network process (ANP) approach to ascertain the significant factors for adopting Industry 4.0 in service industries. Further, sensitivity analysis has been conducted to determine the sensitivities of the rank of criteria and sub-factors to corroborate the results.
Findings
The outcome reveals the top significant criteria as organizational criteria (0.5019) and innovation criteria (0.3081). This study prioritizes six significant factors information technology (IT) specialization, digital decentralization of all departments, organizational size, smart services through customer data, top management support and Industry 4.0 infrastructure in the transition toward Industry 4.0 in the service industries.
Practical implications
The potential factors identified in this study will assist managers in determining strategies to effectively manage the Industry 4.0 transition by concentrating on top priorities when leveraging Industry 4.0. The significance of organizational and innovation criteria given more weight will lay the groundwork for future Industry 4.0 implementation guidelines in service industries.
Originality/value
Our research is novel since, to our knowledge, no previous study has investigated the potential critical factors from organizational, environmental, innovation and cost dimensions. Thus, the potential critical factors identified are the contributions of this study.

Purpose
The purpose of the paper is to identify existing and common critical success factors adapted for implementing Industry 4.0 technology, which is essential to survive in the vulnerability, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) environment by using systematic literature review (SLR) methodology with the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) and content analysis strategy.
Design/methodology/approach
The SLR methodology with the PRISMA and content analysis strategy adapted to review 74 papers in peer-reviewed academic journals and industry reports published from 2014 to 2021.
Findings
Based on a review of relevant literature, two theoretical contributions have been added to the literature on Industry 4.0. First, this review reveals that 35 (47%) out of total 74 studies assessing the Industry 4.0 implementation in the manufacturing industry, the service industry can also create value through Industry 4.0 implementation, with a lot of potential to increase productivity, which literature has not explicitly focused on. Second, this paper proposes the 12 most common critical factors (training and development, organizational culture, top management support, organizational structure, innovation capability, technological infrastructure, security system, standardization of procedures, financial resources, communication and cooperation, change management and governance) that can be considered as the significant critical factors for successful implementation of Industry 4.0.
Originality/value
The novelty part related to methodological perspective by using the PRISMA approach for systematic review, which cannot be found extensively in existing literature in the context of the Industry 4.0 phenomenon to analyze critical factors.

Abstract
Purpose
The study aims to discern the primary obstacles confronted by the implementing agencies in their efforts to foster financial inclusion through the “Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana” (PMMY).
Design/methodology/approach
To collect primary data, a semi-structured questionnaire was developed. Around 120 loan officers from the implementing agencies (Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs), Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), Small Finance Banks (SFBs), Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and Micro- Finance Institutions (MFIs)) of Haryana were randomly selected to fulfill the objectives. To categorize the perceived problems into discrete factors, the “factor analysis” technique was employed. The scales were then regressed on factors linked to the demographic characteristics of the loan officers to validate the hypotheses.
Findings
The study highlighted the primary obstacles impeding the advancement of financial inclusion, which encompass a range of factors. These include challenges in management, infrastructure, politics, finance and technology. Furthermore, the study established the association of the explanatory variables, namely gender, age, educational qualification, location and experience of the officers, with the extracted constraints. Notably, the experience of loan officers emerged as the most influential variable contributing to the promotion of financial inclusion through the scheme.
Originality/value
The current body of literature lacks any empirical investigation focusing on the perspectives of the implementing agencies regarding the challenges they encounter in advancing FI. Given the significance of FI in India, where access to formal financial services remains a critical issue, this research adds value by addressing the gaps in understanding the problems encountered.

Abstract
Purpose
The banking sector is more revolutionized than ever, with advanced technologies driving a seismic change in the financial industry. This study aims to understand how digital technologies influence banking sector employees and their perception of working in an era of Banking 4.0.
Design/methodology/approach
This study incorporated qualitative analysis to gain different insights from diverse respondents from banking industries. A purposive sampling method was adopted, and semistructured interviews were conducted, taking a sample of 72 respondents. All the transcripts were then analyzed using NVivo.
Findings
The findings focus on challenges related to understanding technology phenomena, managing changes, infrastructure, skills, competitiveness and regulatory mechanisms. This is further followed by the favorable impact of Banking 4.0 on employees and future avenues, such as innovation in financial services, work productivity, career opportunities and change management, banking 4.0 and banking 5.0, and banking 4.0 management strategies identified as the significant findings.
Practical implications
This study provides guidelines for Banking 4.0 provision strategy and conceptual reference toward the development of Banking 4.0. It also supports the Enhanced Access and Service Excellence 4.0 program, driven by the Indian Bank’s Association, to focus more on digitization, automation and data analytics.
Originality/value
The novelty of this research provides a qualitative hierarchy of significant challenges, favorable impacts and future research avenues of Banking 4.0 in the Indian banking sector.

Abstract
Purpose
This article offered two meshfree algorithms, namely the local radial basis functions-finite difference (LRBF-FD) approximation and local radial basis functions-differential quadrature method (LRBF-DQM) to simulate the multidimensional hyperbolic wave models and work is an extension of Jiwari (2015).
Design/methodology/approach
In the evolvement of the first algorithm, the time derivative is discretized by the forward FD scheme and the Crank-Nicolson scheme is used for the rest of the terms. After that, the LRBF-FD approximation is used for spatial discretization and quasi-linearization process for linearization of the problem. Finally, the obtained linear system is solved by the LU decomposition method. In the development of the second algorithm, semi-discretization in space is done via LRBF-DQM and then an explicit RK4 is used for fully discretization in time.
Findings
For simulation purposes, some 1D and 2D wave models are pondered to instigate the chastity and competence of the developed algorithms.
Originality/value
The developed algorithms are novel for the multidimensional hyperbolic wave models. Also, the stability analysis of the second algorithm is a new work for these types of model.
