Abstract
Purpose
This study investigates the role of source familiarity in moderating the effect of service adaptive behavior (SAB) on customer satisfaction. Applying the accessibility–diagnosticity framework and situated cognition theory as the theoretical basis, this research hypothesizes that when customers are familiar with the source that provides the service (i.e. brand familiarity for Study 1 and personal familiarity for Study 2), customer satisfaction responses to SAB would be more moderate than when customers are not familiar with the source. Two studies were conducted to test the hypotheses.
Design/methodology/approach
Two experiments manipulating SAB and the brand name familiarity (Study 1) and personal familiarity with the service staff (Study 2) as the source familiarity were conducted. Customer satisfaction as a function of source familiarity was measured to test the hypothesis that source familiarity moderates the relationship between SAB and customer satisfaction.
Findings
Compared to unfamiliar sources, familiar sources generated a more moderate response in customer satisfaction as a function of SAB. High familiarity with the brand and service staff induced top-down, memory-based processing that overrides external stimuli as the basis of satisfaction judgment; bottom-up, stimulus-based processing relying on SAB for judgment kicked in only when the source familiarity is low.
Practical implications
From a practical point of view, this study indicates the importance of SAB, especially for brands with low awareness, and alludes to the comparative importance of relationship building in service delivery processes.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the literature by validating the role of contextual factors in influencing the impact of SAB on customer satisfaction.

Purpose
Surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors have attracted great attention worldwide for a variety of applications in measuring physical, chemical and biological parameters. However, stability has been one of the key issues which have limited their effective commercial applications. To fully understand this challenge of operation stability, this paper aims to systematically review mechanisms, stability issues and future challenges of SAW sensors for various applications.
Design/methodology/approach
This review paper starts with different types of SAWs, advantages and disadvantages of different types of SAW sensors and then the stability issues of SAW sensors. Subsequently, recent efforts made by researchers for improving working stability of SAW sensors are reviewed. Finally, it discusses the existing challenges and future prospects of SAW sensors in the rapidly growing Internet of Things-enabled application market.
Findings
A large number of scientific articles related to SAW technologies were found, and a number of opportunities for future researchers were identified. Over the past 20 years, SAW-related research has gained a growing interest of researchers. SAW sensors have attracted more and more researchers worldwide over the years, but the research topics of SAW sensor stability only own an extremely poor percentage in the total researc topics of SAWs or SAW sensors.
Originality/value
Although SAW sensors have been attracting researchers worldwide for decades, researchers mainly focused on the new materials and design strategies for SAW sensors to achieve good sensitivity and selectivity, and little work can be found on the stability issues of SAW sensors, which are so important for SAW sensor industries and one of the key factors to be mature products. Therefore, this paper systematically reviewed the SAW sensors from their fundamental mechanisms to stability issues and indicated their future challenges for various applications.

Abstract
Purpose
Using the person-organization (P-O) fit perspective, the present study explores the interlinkages between workplace spirituality (WPS) and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). It further attempts to understand the mediating effects of psychological ownership and innovative work behavior (IWB) for the association.
Design/methodology/approach
Data was collected in three waves from 283 frontline hotel employees in the Delhi NCR region of India. Partial least square (PLS-structural equation modeling) was used to test the hypothesized model.
Findings
A significant association was found between WPS and OCB. Psychological ownership and IWB had a significant serial mediation effect on WPS and OCB relationship.
Practical implications
The involvement of spirituality in the workplace is one of the significant factors contributing to positive organizational performance from the perspective of perishable services. Hence, understanding and implementing best practices to encourage WPS and strengthening psychological ownership for favorable behavioral outcomes must be one of the significant priorities for human resource managers in the hospitality industry.
Originality/value
WPS is an under-explored area in the hospitality industry. The present study will be novel and critical in bridging the research gap wherein psychological ownership and IWBs mediate the relationship between WPS and OCB in the hospitality sector. Furthermore, the present study notably contributes to using person organizational fit theory for the hypothesized relationships between study variables for the hospitality sector employees in India.

Abstract
Purpose
As the complexity and uncertainty of infrastructural megaprojects challenge traditional management models, there is an increasing focus on value co-creation as an organizational strategy to streamline management. However, the role of value co-creation behavior in facilitating the value realization process remains underexplored. This study examines how justice perception (distributive, procedural and interactional justice) improves contractor value co-creation behavior, focusing on the mediating role of psychological ownership.
Design/methodology/approach
Ten hypotheses in the proposed research model were tested through partial least squares structural equation modeling using 199 valid questionnaires from China.
Findings
The results show that contractor value co-creation behavior is directly and positively influenced by procedural, distributive and interactional justice and indirectly influenced by them through the underlying psychological mechanism of psychological ownership.
Originality/value
The findings fill a knowledge gap by examining the effect of justice perception on contractor value co-creation behavior based on social exchange theory. Discovering justice perception will contribute to contractor value co-creation behavior, and psychological ownership mediates this relationship.

Man has been seeking an ideal existence for a very long time. In this existence, justice, love, and peace are no longer words, but actual experiences. How ever, with the American preemptive invasion and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and the subsequent prisoner abuse, such an existence seems to be farther and farther away from reality. The purpose of this work is to stop this dangerous trend by promoting justice, love, and peace through a change of the paradigm that is inconsistent with justice, love, and peace. The strong paradigm that created the strong nation like the U.S. and the strong man like George W. Bush have been the culprit, rather than the contributor, of the above three universal ideals. Thus, rather than justice, love, and peace, the strong paradigm resulted in in justice, hatred, and violence. In order to remove these three and related evils, what the world needs in the beginning of the third millenium is the weak paradigm. Through the acceptance of the latter paradigm, the golden mean or middle paradigm can be formulated, which is a synergy of the weak and the strong paradigm. In order to understand properly the meaning of these paradigms, however, some digression appears necessary.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between competitive personality (CMP) and rationalized knowledge hiding (KH) and to explore the mediating effects of knowledge-based psychological ownership (KPO) and organization-based PO (OPO) by developing a mediating framework.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected from the ordinary employees of listed companies in China (2022) via a Web-based survey. The total number of valid samples was 337. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to test the reliability and validity of the constructs, and structural equation modeling was used to verify the direct and mediating effects.
Findings
The findings revealed a positive relationship between CMP and rationalized KH (RKH). KPO plays a positive mediating role between CMP and RKH, whereas OPO plays a negative mediating role between CMP and RKH.
Research limitations/implications
First, although the questionnaire collection is split into two sessions to reduce common method variation, there is inevitably some risk, as the questionnaires are all reported by the same respondent. Second, this study examined the effects of CMP on RKH based on the Chinese cultural context, but the applicability of this finding to cross-cultural contexts warrants further study. In the future, researchers can conduct cross-cultural comparisons to determine the generalizability of the findings.
Practical implications
This study helps managers to better identify the RKH behaviors that exist in organizations, understand the reasons and processes behind employees’ KH and facilitate more effective knowledge management by managers.
Originality/value
This study uses CMP as an important indicator of employees’ RKH behavior, enriches the research related to the antecedent variables of RKH and reveals the influence mechanism between CMP and RKH from the perspective of PO, and the findings can help researchers and managers understand the process and antecedents of RKH so that timely interventions can be implemented.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to propose and empirically test a model that examines psychological ownership as an intervening variable between organizational justice and organizational citizenship behaviour drawing on the social exchange theory, equity theory and event mediated model.
Design/methodology/approach
The study was based on a cross-sectional research design, with a sample of 301 full-time employees from various information technology organizations in India. Amos software was used to test the validity of the hypothesised model, and PROCESS macro was used to test the mediation of psychological ownership.
Findings
The findings showed that organizational justice impacted both psychological ownership and organizational citizenship behaviour. Furthermore, psychological ownership impacted the organizational citizenship behaviour of employees. The key finding of this study is the partial mediation of psychological ownership in the relationship between organizational justice and organizational citizenship behaviour.
Practical implications
Besides enriching the organizational behaviour literature, the findings of the study offer valuable messages to the organizational leaders in creating sustained competitive advantage through employee behaviours like organizational citizenship behaviour and psychological ownership.
Originality/value
Even though the literature reports the impact of organizational justice on organizational citizenship behaviour, the majority of this research is based on a western context. There is little research work done to examine the direct relationship between these variables in a non-western context, especially in an emerging economy like India. This study bridges this research gap and enriches the literature by elucidating how organizational justice impacts organizational citizenship behaviour by evincing the mediating mechanism of psychological ownership. Moreover, this is one of the primary studies that explore the mediating role of psychological ownership in the relationship between organizational justice and organizational citizenship behaviour.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper draws on the conservation of resources (COR) theory to understand how organizational embeddedness develops through psychological ownership and organizational justice. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of three dimensions of organizational justice on organizational embeddedness and psychological ownership and the effect of psychological ownership on organizational embeddedness. The mediating role of psychological ownership between organizational justice and organizational embeddedness was also examined.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected from 300 engineers in Pakistan's power sector using a three-wave quantitative survey. Partial least squares path modeling was used to analyze the data.
Findings
The results show that distributive and procedural justice results in the development of organizational embeddedness. Simultaneously, psychological ownership mediates the link between all three dimensions of organizational justice and organizational embeddedness.
Practical implications
By highlighting the importance of organizational justice and psychological ownership, this study offers managers with two distinct strategies for enhancing their employees' organizational embeddedness.
Originality/value
There is a lack of research investigating the distinct effects of three dimensions of organizational justice on the three dimensions of organizational embeddedness. Further, research to investigate the intervening mechanisms that connect organizational justice and embeddedness is scarce. Finally, the COR theory has been utilized to explain how embeddedness works. However, it had not been utilized previously to understand the process through which embeddedness is accumulated. This study fills these gaps by examining the distinct effects of three dimensions of organizational justice on three dimensions of organizational embeddedness and examining these relationships' mediation through psychological ownership.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to examine the influences of creativity, psychological ownership (PO) and perceived organizational support (POS) on knowledge creation, using the integrative systems model of creativity.
Design/methodology/approach
A survey was used to collect data from 188 workers in Korean public service organizations. Analyses, including bootstrapping and hierarchical regression analysis, were performed to determine the mediating effect of PO and also the moderating and the moderated mediating effects of POS.
Findings
The results showed that PO mediates partially between creativity and knowledge creation and that POS moderates the relationship between PO and knowledge creation. Notably, the moderated mediating effect of POS was only significant when employees had a high level of POS.
Practical implications
The findings suggest that creativity dissemination requires employees’ social consciousness, collaborative interactions and organizational support. The results imply that human resource development (HRD) practitioners need to cultivate the creativity capacity in the organization.
Originality/value
This study discusses the effects of PO and POS on creative performance, which HRD professionals and organizational leaders draw attention to for organizational development. Implications for organizational composition and interventions to enhance creative performance are provided.
