Abstract
Utilizing film as a teaching tool in a personal leadership development course helped undergraduate students synthesize authentic leadership concepts. Iron Jawed Angels facilitated the culminating lesson as students applied course concepts to an observed leader. Three objectives guided the final lesson: (a) critique Alice Paul’s leadership as it relates to the components of the Discovering Leadership Framework described in Discovering the Leader in You, (b) identify key film scenes, quotes, and characters, applying them to course concepts and Alice Paul, and (c) analyze Alice Paul’s leadership as it relates to authentic leadership development. Four class meetings were designated for the final lesson. Students viewed the film on days one and two, and days three and four were spent identifying, critiquing, and analyzing Alice Paul’s leadership.

Abstract
Entrepreneurship education has had a remarkable evolution over time and the number of entrepreneurship textbooks has multiplied given the increased interest in entrepreneurship programs in higher education. Yet, studies that review the coverage of textbooks focusing on entrepreneurship are scarce. This study provides an inventory of entrepreneurship textbooks and the topics they cover as well as specific emerging topics they do not cover by analyzing the content of 57 textbooks. Our results suggest that most textbooks provide significant coverage of such topics as the nature of entrepreneurship, business plans, financing, marketing, and cases. Among emerging concepts, social media has been relatively well covered with increasing coverage in more recent textbooks, while business canvas, as an example of alternatives to conventional business plans, is rarely covered. Most textbooks have provided little coverage of such topics as sales, family business, women and minorities, as well as ethics and sustainability. This study not only reveals areas that are covered by existing textbooks but also themes that future textbooks and research could cover to address the challenges of future entrepreneurship education.

Abstract
Looks at the role of the GP in today′s Service and examines some of the organizational and motivational problems which have to be overcome before general practice can be confident of delivering to the strategic expectations of the NHS. They are designed to raise the level of debate for more long‐term, practical support for general practice organizations. The issues involved have been researched both qualitatively and quantitatively and are grounded in a context of change. Includes excerpts from general practice profiles developed during research projects, consultancy projects and case study development work – large and small partnerships, single‐handed practices, established and “bidding” fundholders, and significantly different practice populations. These are supported by the results of questionnaires circulated to over 2,500 doctors and practice managers and the views and work of others researching and practising in primary care.

Purpose
This paper aims to discuss the SEC's investigatory program with respect to market manipulation in the securities of certain financial institutions and to provide constructive steps for firms to take prior to and after they receive a subpoena or other inquiry from the SEC staff.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper discusses the implications of a formal SEC investigation, how to respond, and appropriate document retention, disclosure, and internal investigation policies.
Findings
It is essential that firms and individuals provide timely and accurate responses to SEC requests. Document retention and destruction policies are a critical issue. A financial services firm that has received an SEC subpoena or request for information should consider whether any disclosure to its clients and other investors is advisable. When an entity concludes that potential violations may have occurred, it should consider whether to conduct a more extensive internal investigation and whether separate counsel is advisable. In sending materials to the SEC, the responding entity should request confidential treatment.
Practical implications
It is essential that firms and individuals provide timely and accurate responses to SEC requests, whether pursuant to a subpoena or to a request to submit a narrative statement.
Originality/value
The paper provides practical guidance by experienced securities and litigation lawyers as a result of government investigation into market manipulation.

The purpose of this paper is to assess the FSA's recent, allegedly soft approach toward insider trading and compare it with current approaches in the USA, France, and Germany
Design/methodology/approach
Discusses reasons for the FSA's current approach, including its emphasis on “principles‐based” regulation and its policy against being an “enforcement‐led” organization and, for comparison, provides the perpectives of Dechert lawyers on current enforcement trends in the USA, France and Germany.
Findings
The prosecution of insider trading is one of the best examples of principles‐based regulation in the USA, which suggests that a debate concerning whether the FSA should adopt “rules” proscribing insider trading before embarking on a campaign of vigorous prosecution may be largely irrelevant if the will exists to address such activity. This article was originally published internally by Dechert LLP in April 2007 and has since been updated for the Journal of Investment Compliance.
Originality/value
The paper assesses the FSA's recent approach toward insider trading in the UK.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to illuminate for teachers how the suffrage movement is centered in whiteness. The authors posit that this historical erasure is intentional, and teachers should actively find ways to counter that erasure. This paper positions teachers to ask critical questions of dominant narratives, and have students do the same.
Design/methodology/approach
Given the existence of historical erasure and the absence of Black suffrage stories, the authors sought to build teachers' content base by conducting a historiography of the dominant narrative of the women's suffrage movement. They examined how state standards and popular online archival collections perpetuate the dominant narrative. They provide teachers with a rich content base and include primary sources they could use to teach this content to their students.
Findings
Unsurprising, the Texas and Missouri state standards do little to advance the voices of underrepresented people, especially when it comes to the suffrage movement. Likewise, archival collections are limited by the choice of those who curated the collections. The article presents teachers with lesser known stories of the movement and accompanying primary sources.
Practical implications
Teachers cannot teach what they do not know. So the authors sought to build a teacher's content base so they could tell a more inclusive history. They want to help teachers identify dominant narratives and where historical erasure is happening, and commit to asking critical questions of those narratives and seek to diversity their histories.
Originality/value
This piece is original because much of this content is missing from current history classrooms. In addition, the primary sources and additional resources provided can strengthen a teacher's ability to teach about it.

This paper addresses issues of concerns relating to the group whose needs in relation to sexuality have for too long been ignored, namely those with profound and multiple disabilities. The development of a specialist project to meet those needs is outlined, along with some of the difficulties and dilemmas faced along the way. The importance of staff training and support for staff to explore their own values and feelings towards the sexuality of this client group is emphasised.
