Empowerment is not a short‐term goal and is not easy. Organizations seeking to change the culture and ethos of their organization need to count the cost of change, fully understanding the qualitative and quantitative benefits of changing. However, once the path of empowerment is embarked on, the organization will be changed forever and resources will be released.
