Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to investigate the impacts of green bond issuance on the environment while taking into account the moderating role of issuing countries’ institutional quality.
Design/methodology/approach
The analysis is based on a longitudinal data set covering 171 countries and territories during 2007–2018. The authors rigorously account for endogeneity issues using two-stage least squares estimation and a set of instrumental variables for green bond issuance volume.
Findings
The overall results confirm the positive environmental impacts of green bonds in reducing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing renewable energy consumption rate and accelerating the progress towards sustainable development goals (SDGs). However, these effects are contingent upon the levels of institutional development of the issuing countries in a way that green bond issuance only benefits the environment when the institutional quality has reached a minimum level.
Practical implications
The results provide important policy implications for countries in their efforts to prevent environmental degradation and achieve SDGs.
Originality/value
This paper contributes to the existing literature by providing a macro-level evaluation of the environmental impact of green bonds, hence, enabling policy implications to be drawn for countries to achieve their SDGs. The analysis is more comprehensive using a wide range of indicators for environmental performance. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this paper is also one of the first attempts to examine the moderating effect of institutions on the environmental impact of green bonds.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to examine the impacts of macroprudential policy on the shadow economy worldwide.
Design/methodology/approach
We compile a panel dataset covering 125 countries from 1990 to 2018. This paper mitigates potential endogeneity issues via two-stage least squares and the two-step generalized method of moments (GMM).
Findings
The robust results show that the overall tightening of macroprudential policies exerts an expansion impact on the shadow economy. Further examination of the 16 individual macroprudential policy instruments finds that loan restrictions, countercyclical buffers, surcharges for systemically important financial institutions and capital conservation buffers have positive and statistically significant effect on the shadow economy. This relationship is only present during tightening episodes of macroprudential policy as loosening episodes do not exhibit any significant impact. Finally, this paper documents the nonlinear effects of macroprudential policy.
Practical implications
The results suggest that the supervisory authorities may need to consider another parameter, which is the development of the shadow economy, when devising the optimal macroprudential policy responses.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this paper is likely the first to empirically document the impact of macroprudential policy on the shadow economy. It contributes to the growing literature on the potential side effects of macroprudential policy on the macro-economy.

Abstract
Purpose
Drawing upon the conservation of resources (COR) theory, this paper investigates the moderated mediation model linking benevolent leadership to organizational citizenship behaviors towards the organization (OCBO) and towards individuals (OCBI) in the context of higher education. The mediating roles of leader-member exchange and affective commitment as well as the moderating roles of the two attachment styles—attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance—are also examined.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected from a sample of 333 university lecturers and analyzed using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM).
Findings
The results demonstrate that leader-member exchange and affective commitment are mediating resources that help benevolent leaders motivate university lecturers to engage in two types of OCBs. Moreover, attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance act as the respective enhancer and inhibitor for the indirect effects of benevolent leadership on both OCBs through leader-member exchange. In contrast, the relationships between benevolent leadership and two types of OCBs through the mediating role of affective commitment are not contingent on the attachment styles of lecturers.
Practical implications
The findings suggest that university leaders who aim at promoting OCBs among lecturers should deploy benevolent leadership style to facilitate a positive social exchange relationship as well as foster their affective commitment. Such leadership style is especially effective in influencing lecturers who possess attachment anxiety personality traits.
Originality/value
This pioneer research develops and empirically tests a COR theory-grounded moderated mediation model pertaining to benevolent leadership and lecturers' OCBs. The findings contribute to the educational management literature by demonstrating that benevolent leadership, a crucial organizational resource, significantly motivates lecturers' voluntary and extra-role behaviors in a dynamic and contingent manner. Leader-member exchange and affective commitment are important mediating resources in the process of transforming benevolent leadership into beneficial behaviors. Further, the effectiveness of benevolent leadership largely depends on lecturers' personality traits of attachment anxiety and avoidance. These novel mediating and moderating findings demonstrate the sequential and interaction effects of various organizational and individual resources on lecturers' OCBs; thus, adding value to the COR theory's core principles, including resource caravans and resource investment behaviors.

Abstract
Purpose
The aims of this study are twofold: to examine mobile food delivery service (MFDS) from the perspectives of functional and technical quality, and to empirically evaluate the influences of functional and technical quality on customer loyalty toward MFDS.
Design/methodology/approach
A conceptual framework of customer loyalty toward MFDSs was developed based on Gronroos’s service quality model. By using the PLS-SEM approach, the proposed model was empirically tested with a sample of 494 MFDS users through a survey via online social groups of food delivery service review.
Findings
The study validated the multi-dimensionality of MFDS functional quality including six dimensions (e.g. ease of use, app design, responsiveness, privacy and security, information quality, and personalization) and MFDS technical quality including two dimensions (e.g. safety and quality of delivered food, and quality of delivery service). The results indicated a significant direct link between functional quality and loyalty toward MFDS, while the effect of technical quality on loyalty was not found. Both functional quality and technical quality of MFDS demonstrated positive associations with customer perceived value of MFDS, which had a positive linkage with customer loyalty toward MFDS.
Research limitations/implications
The findings of the study advances Gronroos’ (1990) service quality perspective to m-commerce contexts, therefore and also offers MFDS providers effective strategies to launch a successful food delivery service.
Originality/value
The current study provides a first theoretical perspective on mobile service quality based on Gronroos’s model, which has not yet been examined. This study broadens the understanding of the loyalty toward a mobile-based service, particularly MFDS from the influences of two perspectives of service quality, namely, functional and technical quality.

Abstract
This chapter clarifies the “dark tourism” in Vietnam; a case study of Hoa Lo Prison Relic. Development orientation of “dark tourism” in Vietnam contributes to healing the wounds of war. The author mainly uses a system approach, method of analysis and synthesis, and method of comparison. “Dark tourism” in Vietnam has not really developed as a specific type of tourism like ecotourism or meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) tourism. At Hoa Lo Prison historical site, “dark tourism” has been effectively exploited: (1) in the first 6 months of 2023, Hoa Lo Prison welcomes nearly 295 thousand visitors, charging fees of 7 billion VND, the situation of “sold out” takes place regularly; (2) many unique tourism products, one of the successful and widespread tourism products must be mentioned the “night tour” experience; (3) many creative forms of sightseeing with automatic explanation system so that visitors can experience 35 historical stories in their own way; and (4) always create the best conditions for visitors’ sightseeing experience. To promote dark tourism in Vietnam, it is necessary to execute some schemes: (i) enhance the sense of responsibility for peaceful tourism in the operation of monuments; (ii) stakeholders coordinate the organization of the tour program and tourist routes with appropriate contents and forms for each target group, especially foreign tourists; (iii) there is cooperation between national and international experts in organizing the “dark tourism” program aimed at peace, preventing the risk of war and conflict, and overcoming the consequences of war; and (iv) application of scientific and technological achievements in “dark tourism” activities.

Abstract
Purpose
For its sustainable growth, an organization should drive customers from the role of consumers of products or services to value co-creators. Logistics performance, which produces value for customers, may activate value co-creation behavior among them. The purpose of this paper is to investigate entrepreneurial orientation (EO) as the determinant and customer value co-creation behavior as the outcome of logistics performance.
Design/methodology/approach
The data for this research came from 328 dyads of logistics managers of chemical manufacturers and purchase managers of their customer companies in Vietnam context. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling approach.
Findings
The research results confirmed the role of EO in predicting logistics performance. Logistics performance was also found to positively influence customer-organization identification, which, in turn promoted customer value co-creation behavior.
Originality/value
Entrepreneurship, logistics, and marketing research streams converge through the research model of the relationship between EO, logistics performance, and customer value co-creation behavior.

This paper aims to examine the role of antecedents such as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and entrepreneurial orientation in the chain effect to knowledge sharing among members of Cai Luong theatre companies in the Vietnamese context. Knowledge sharing contributes to the depth of the knowledge pool of both the individuals and the organization.
Design/methodology/approach
The relationships among the constructs in the research model were established through structural equation modelling (SEM)-based analysis of cross-sectional data from 226 respondents of Cai Luong theatre companies in Vietnam.
Findings
From research findings emerged the empirical proof for the positive effect of CSR on entrepreneurial orientation, which, in turn, contributes to the sharing of knowledge among theatre members.
Originality/value
Research findings increase the breadth of knowledge management literature through the role of CSR and entrepreneurial orientation as activators of knowledge sharing.

Purpose
The survival and sustainable growth of Cai Luong (Renovated Theatre) theatre companies as well as Cai Luong theatrical art in Vietnam necessitate the sharing of acting and singing skills between generations of actors. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of theatre members’ perception of psychological contract in predicting their sharing of knowledge. Another research purpose is to assess if corporate social responsibility (CSR) of theatre companies can activate the effect chain through psychological contract to knowledge sharing. The last research purpose sheds light on the moderating role of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) for the relationship between psychological contract and knowledge sharing among members of Cai Luong theatre companies in Vietnam setting.
Design/methodology/approach
Cross-sectional data for SEM-based analysis was collated from 226 respondents of Cai Luong theatre companies in Vietnam.
Findings
Research results unveil the predicting role that CSR played on the relationship between psychological contract and knowledge sharing among members in Cai Luong theatre companies. This relationship was also found to be moderated by EO.
Originality/value
Research results extend knowledge management literature through the inclusion of CSR and psychological contract as antecedents of knowledge sharing.

Abstract
Purpose
There has been a growing number, though still modest, of organizations in Vietnam context that hire employees with disabilities and build disability inclusive management practices and disability diversity climate for them to engage in their work roles. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how disability inclusive HR practices contribute to work engagement of employees with disabilities working in Vietnam-based information technology (IT) industry.
Design/methodology/approach
The research model was tested through the data collected from employees with disabilities and their direct supervisors from IT companies based in Vietnam.
Findings
The data analysis revealed that disability inclusive HR practices influenced employees with disabilities to engage in their work activities through organizational identification as a mediator. Moral leadership exhibited a positive interactive effect with disability inclusive HR practices in promoting organizational identification of employees with disabilities and, in turn, their work engagement. In addition, employees’ idiosyncratic deals were found to serve as an individual enhancer for the link between their organizational identification and work engagement.
Originality/value
This research sets a milestone for more empirical inquiries on disability-oriented antecedents at both organizational and individual levels that can foster work engagement of employees with disabilities.

Purpose
The aim of this study is to investigate how corporate social responsibility (CSR) contributes to organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE) among employees in hotel industry. Corporate green brand should be built not only from the provision of green products or services but also from green behavior among employees in their daily activities. This study also seeks the understanding of the moderating effects of corporate entrepreneurship (CE) and employees’ attachment styles on the relationship between CSR and OCBE.
Design/methodology/approach
The data for testing the study model were harvested from respondents in the hotel industry in Vietnam business context.
Findings
The research results unveiled the positive effect of CSR on OCBE and the roles of CE and employee attachment styles in moderating this effect.
Research limitations/implications
Hospitality organizations should integrate CSR initiatives into their sustainable strategy to shape employee OCBE. Entrepreneurial values should also be cultivated among employees to drive them to further respond to CSR initiatives and engage in OCBE.
Originality/value
This study expands CSR and green research streams by identifying the effect of CSR on OCBE among hotel employees as well as moderation mechanisms of CE and employee attachment styles for such an effect.
