Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to classify the sentiment of online tourism-hospitality reviews at an aspect level. A new aspect-oriented sentiment classification method is proposed based on a neural network model.
Design/methodology/approach
This study constructs an aspect-oriented sentiment classification model using an integrated four-layer neural network: the bidirectional encoder representation from transformers (BERT) word vector model, long short-term memory, interactive attention-over-attention (IAOA) mechanism and a linear output layer. The model was trained, tested and validated on an open training data set and 92,905 reviews extrapolated from restaurants in Tokyo.
Findings
The model achieves significantly better performance compared with other neural networks. The findings provide empirical evidence to validate the suitability of this new approach in the tourism-hospitality domain.
Research limitations/implications
More sentiments should be identified to measure more fine-grained tourism-hospitality experience, and new aspects are recommended that can be automatically added into the aspect set to provide dynamic support for new dining experiences.
Originality/value
This study provides an update to the literature with respect to how a neural network could improve the performance of aspect-oriented sentiment classification for tourism-hospitality online reviews.

This paper aims to outline the development of online tourism-related text with particular focus on the role of technology in transforming this text. It also offers a vision of this ongoing development for the next 75 years, followed by a discussion of its implications for tourism research.
Design/methodology/approach
This paper offers a critical analysis and synthesis of the literature and brings a number of conceptual and theoretical frameworks to present a rich, in-depth discussion of the subject.
Findings
There have been important transformations in online tourism-related text because of the development of information technology. Particularly, the internet, along with more recent social media and the smartphone, has produced vast amount of text in a variety of formats and modalities. Computer programs are increasingly smarter in collecting, processing, understanding and even generating textual content in the context of tourism. Future communications will likely be mediated and dominated by artificial intelligence-based technologies, emerging interfaces and a mix of text and visual contents.
Research limitations/implications
Tourism research entails a paradigm shift that recognizes the changing characteristics of online tourism-related text and the importance of new conceptual and methodological tools for understanding the new language of tourism.
Originality/value
This paper offers a unique view that connects the socio-linguistic basis of tourism with the development of information technology. It may serve as the conceptual foundation for tourism research that uses text as data in understanding a range of marketing and managerial problems in tourism.

This paper aims to propose a novel active SLAM framework to realize avoid obstacles and finish the autonomous navigation in indoor environment.
Design/methodology/approach
The improved fuzzy optimized Q-Learning (FOQL) algorithm is used to solve the avoidance obstacles problem of the robot in the environment. To reduce the motion deviation of the robot, fractional controller is designed. The localization of the robot is based on FastSLAM algorithm.
Findings
Simulation results of avoiding obstacles using traditional Q-learning algorithm, optimized Q-learning algorithm and FOQL algorithm are compared. The simulation results show that the improved FOQL algorithm has a faster learning speed than other two algorithms. To verify the simulation result, the FOQL algorithm is implemented on a NAO robot and the experimental results demonstrate that the improved fuzzy optimized Q-Learning obstacle avoidance algorithm is feasible and effective.
Originality/value

Purpose
The shortage of Chinese language teachers have been identified as a pressing issue globally. This paper aims to respond to the needs by investigating and designing the learning innovation with autonomous programmable robot, NAO.
Design/methodology/approach
By thoughtfully embedding NAO robot into teaching basic Chinese language, this research demonstrates an inquiry qualitative case study of artificial intelligence design principles and learning engagement with rule-based reasoning and progress test design.
Findings
This state-of-the arts robot use its emotion recognition and body language automated (LED eye with various colours) to demonstrate the Chinese words, to increase learners’ understanding and enhance their memory of the words learned. The responses conclude that the novel learning experience is more fun and interesting, thus the engagement from the axis of novelty, interactivity, motivation and interest is enhanced.
Research limitations/implications
It is recognised that the number of research participants was small, but the qualitative finding demonstrate key issues and recommendation that may inspire future empirical research.
Practical implications
Today, robotics is a rapidly growing field and has received significant attention in education. Humanoid robots are now increasingly used in fields such as education, hospitality, entertainment and health care. Educational robots are anticipated to serve as teaching assistants.
Originality/value
The learning engagement paradigm has shifted from manual engagement to personal response systems or mixed-reality on mobile platforms, and now with the humanoid robot, the recommendation of four principles and future work and for designing humanoid robot as a language tutor are discussed. The educational robot model can be changed to a newer robot such as CANBOT U05E.

Outlines the history of auditing in China and the auditing standards and guidelines issued in 1997 to improve consistency in the audit of government departments and state‐run enterprises under the responsibility of the National Audit Office (NAO). Explains that they focus on auditing processes rather than more subjective areas but are used by the NAO’s audit bureaux and by private accounting firms, including those with international connections. Compares them with international auditing guidelines, which cover subjective issues but are aimed at commercial organizations. Recognizes some concern in China over the money spent on the NAO and calls for public education on the nature and purpose of audit, for parameters to be set to narrow the scope of auditors subjective judgements and for harmonization with international standards.

Purpose
The study focusses on explaining why advocates for reform to state audit in the United Kingdom (UK) in the early 1980s, focussed on improving the links between the new National Audit Office (NAO) and Parliament, rather than on traditional notions of audit independence. The study shows how this focus on the auditor's link to Parliament depends on a particular concept of liberty and relates this to the wider literature on the place of audit in democratic society.
Design/methodology/approach
Understanding the issue of independence of audit in protecting the liberties and rights of citizens needs addressed. In this article, the authors investigate the creation of audit independence in the UK in the National Audit Act (1983). To do so, the authors employ a neo-Roman concept of liberty to historical archives ranging from the late 1960s to 1983.
Findings
The study shows that advocates for audit reform in the UK from the 1960s to the 1980s were arguing for an extension to Parliament's power to hold the executive to account and that their focus was influential on the way that the new NAO was established. Using a neo-Roman concept of liberty, the authors show that they believed Parliamentary surveillance of the executive was necessary to secure liberty within the UK.
Research limitations/implications
The neo-Roman republican concept of liberty extends previous studies in considering the importance of audit for public accountability, the preservation of liberty and democracy.
Practical implications
Public sector audit can be a fundamentally democratic activity. Auditors should be alert to the constitutional importance of their work and see parliamentary accountability as a key objective.

The present discourse endeavors to provide a comprehensive overview of extant scholarly inquiries that have examined the salience of inhibitory mechanisms vis-à-vis robotic interventions and their impact on patients with AD. Specifically, this review aims to explicate the contemporary state of affairs in this realm by furnishing a detailed explication of ongoing research endeavors. With the objective of elucidating the significance of inhibitory processes in robotic therapies for individuals with AD, this analysis offers a critical appraisal of extant literature that probes the intersection of cognitive mechanisms and assistive technologies. Through a meticulous analysis of diverse scholarly contributions, this review advances a nuanced understanding of the intricate interplay between inhibitory processes and robotic interventions in the context of AD.
Findings
According to the review papers, it appears that implementing robot-assisted rehabilitation can serve as a pragmatic and effective solution for enhancing the well-being and overall quality of life of patients and families engaged with AD. Besides, this new feature in the robotic area is anticipated to have a critical role in the success of this innovative approach.
Research limitations/implications
Due to the nascent nature of this cutting-edge technology and the constrained configuration of the mechanized entity in question, further protracted analysis is imperative to ascertain the advantages and drawbacks of robotic rehabilitation vis-à-vis individuals afflicted with Alzheimer’s ailment.
Social implications
The potential for robots to serve as indispensable assets in the provision of care for individuals afflicted with AD is significant; however, their efficacy and appropriateness for utilization by caregivers of AD patients must be subjected to further rigorous scrutiny.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to outline and implement a novel hybrid controller in humanoid robots to map an optimal path. The hybrid controller is designed using the Owl search algorithm (OSA) and Fuzzy logic.
Design/methodology/approach
The optimum steering angle (OS) is used to deal with the obstacle located in the workspace, which is the output of the hybrid OSA Fuzzy controller. It is obtained by feeding OSA's output, i.e. intermediate steering angle (IS), in fuzzy logic. It is obtained by supplying the distance of obstacles from all directions and target distance from the robot's present location.
Findings
The present research is based on the navigation of humanoid NAO in complicated workspaces. Therefore, various simulations are performed in a 3D simulator in different complicated workspaces. The validation of their outcomes is done using the various experiments in similar workspaces using the proposed controller. The comparison between their outcomes demonstrates an acceptable correlation. Ultimately, evaluating the proposed controller with another existing navigation approach indicates a significant improvement in performance.
Originality/value
A new framework is developed to guide humanoid NAO in complicated workspaces, which is hardly seen in the available literature. Inspection in simulation and experimental workspaces verifies the robustness of the designed navigational controller. Considering minimum error ranges and near collaboration, the findings from both frameworks are evaluated against each other in respect of specified navigational variables. Finally, concerning other present approaches, the designed controller is also examined, and major modifications in efficiency have been reported.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to investigate the accumulation process of transfer film formation and dissipation and its effect on friction coefficients in non asbestos organic friction materials with various lubricant FeS2 contents.
Design/methodology/approach
In total, 2.5%, 5% and 10% FeS2 were added as lubricating components to the friction materials. Friction tests composed of two stages were conducted for these friction materials, and the friction surfaces of the counterpart discs were examined using scanning electron microscopy.
Findings
The transfer film formation reduced the friction coefficients, and the transfer film dissipation influenced the recovery of the friction coefficients. The effect of a high content of FeS2 was to promote the transfer film formation at high temperatures and to hinder the transfer film dissipation at low temperatures, thus resulting in a decrease in the friction coefficients at high temperatures together with recovery retardation at low temperatures.
Originality/value
FeS2 contributed to the transfer film formation at high temperatures in the fade test but hindered the transfer film removal in the recovery test, resulting in the retardation of friction coefficient recovery. The mechanism by which the FeS2 lubricant component affected the transfer film formation and dissipation was analyzed and attributed to the different levels of FeS2 pyrolysis at different temperature levels.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to report findings from a study on factors that made value for money (VFM) in private finance initiative (PFI) projects vulnerable to variations. It seeks to identify the top influencing factors, rank them according to the relative strength of influence, and explore their interactivity.
Design/methodology/approach
The study uses a documentary review of full business cases of five PFI projects, published reports, and scholarly publications to identify the list of factors; and a questionnaire survey of 44 PFI projects in the UK to establish the ranking of importance.
Findings
The findings reveal that PFI projects are more strongly affected by client‐driven internal factors than external factors. Internal factors, such as design change in the development phase and requests for new works or services in the operational phase were also likely to act independently, while external factors, including conditions for approval, movement in construction costs and change in PFI guidelines, worked interactively.
Practical implications
The research findings add to the knowledge of priority factors that need to be addressed to enhance the achievement of long‐term VFM in PFI projects.
Originality/value
The study is one of the few studies that have investigated VFM of PFI projects from a whole life cycle and dynamic perspective. It reveals not only a list of main influencing factors of project VFM, but also interrelationship between these factors.
