Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to explore the relationship between digital transformation and talent management during the current industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). Talent management is a critical strategic focus for human resource (HR) managers, evolving with changing approaches over time. The paper seeks to guide talent management in Industry 4.0 by advocating a collaborative approach between employees and HR managers amidst technological transformations.
Design/methodology/approach
A systematic method of finding the literature using the PRISMA framework, through databases like Scopus, EBSCO, Emerald Insights and Science Direct was applied. A total of 629 papers were initially identified, which were filtered down to 42 papers for the review, leading to identification of research gaps, formulation of different research questions and proposal of a conceptual framework.
Findings
The literature highlights varied HR practices in Industry 4.0 and the corresponding transformation initiatives. It underscores that Industry 4.0 technologies empower employees to leverage creative, digital and interpersonal skills, fostering continuous learning. HR managers, through coaching and a commitment to sustainable practices, further motivate employees to acquire new skills. This collaborative effort propels the digital transformation of talent management, significantly impacting the overall talent pool.
Research limitations/implications
Although the literature review was conducted using prominent databases, some papers in regional languages were excluded, along with few articles whose full texts were not available, which may be a limitation of this paper.
Originality/value
This research represents a pioneering exploration of the interdisciplinary intersections between talent management and technological transformations. Initially, it surveys digital transformation practices, followed by a systematic review presenting various authors’ perspectives on talent management in Industry 4.0. The paper concludes by identifying research gaps and articulating key variables shaped by the intentions of HR managers and employees, thus, driving the transformation of talent.

Abstract
Purpose
Organisations today seek high engagement levels from their employees for their superior performance amid the highly competitive environment. The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of positive deviance facilitators (PDFs) in enhancing employee engagement at work.
Design/methodology/approach
The study adopts the interpretive structural modelling (ISM) and Matrice d’Impacts Croisés-Multiplication Appliquée á un Classement (MICMAC) analysis to understand the process of how positive deviance may fuel employee engagement in an organisation. Because of the lack of empirical evidence on the relationship between employee engagement and positive deviance, ISM approach was adopted as it helps in understanding the subjective experience and learnings of experts involved in the field. The MICMAC analysis classifies the relevant factors into four clusters and helps in understanding the dynamics involved.
Findings
Based on the opinions shared by industry and academia experts, a structural model was developed to understand the hierarchy and interactions among the eight PDFs leading towards employee engagement.
Research limitations/implications
The study offers both theoretical and practical implications. The model developed in the current study could be used as a base model for future studies concerning employee engagement and deviance. The importance of human resource management practices in fuelling positive deviance and employee engagement is also highlighted. The study discusses various practical implications for human resource managers and top management.
Originality/value
The literature on positive deviance at work is still at a nascent stage. Empirical studies on deviance largely focus on the destructive/negative side of workplace deviance, and studies on positive outcomes from workplace deviance are rare. This present study provides a unique opportunity to understand how positive deviance can be used to enhance the engagement levels of employees.

Abstract
Purpose
Due to technology advancement or transparency in system, there is a constant inflow and outflow of technology in the business for transparency and efficiency. To seize a competitive advantage, companies have emerged new technological solutions to respond to the change in the organization environment. There is a surge in the requirement of learning opportunities and effective training programs in the organization. The current study has been an effort to understand the potential of blockchain technology that can create better training evaluation.
Design/methodology/approach
The electronic-Delphi (e-Delphi) method has been conducted by recording the final consensus and to find a balance for implementation of blockchain technology and measuring training effectiveness. The current research is one of its new types where blockchain-enabled training effectiveness measurement (BETEM) model has been formulated using a qualitative approach.
Findings
The study has considered human resource (HR) professionals as the experts and based on their responses, the formulation of theoretical network model has been structured using e-Delphi–BETEM (e-DLH–BETEM) approach. By critically examining the experts’ responses and comments, the study formulated the four major themes and 11 subthemes for the smooth functioning of the BETEM for an organization.
Research limitations/implications
The research aims to aid innovations in BETEMs model for training evaluation. The model will contribute incrementally toward the complete transformation of the training development programs of employees. The goal of BETEMs is to ensure that organizations, specifically HR personals can prepare themselves to have competitive advantage by using blockchain technology.
Originality/value
The application of blockchain technology in measuring the training effectiveness is an addition to existing literature as majority of existing studies have studied the use of technology for measuring training effectiveness.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to investigate the extent of transgender (TG) inclusivity in workplaces, particularly comparing developed and developing economies. It seeks to address the social stigma faced by TG individuals in Asian economies, notably focusing on India. Through qualitative studies, the research identifies barriers hindering TG employment and proposes a theoretical framework to guide organizations in creating TG-inclusive work environments. The research intends to provide insights that enhance the experiences of TG employees while promoting diversity and inclusion in organizations.
Design/methodology/approach
This research comprises two qualitative studies aimed at first identifying barriers to TG employment through the lens of human resources (HR) professionals and then suggesting a theoretical framework to organizations for overcoming these barriers to achieve a TG-inclusive workplace. Thematic analysis, using Atlas.Ti software, and the interpretive structural modelling technique were used to synthesize a conceptual framework.
Findings
This study's outcomes highlight a substantial gap in achieving truly TG-inclusive workplaces, particularly in economies with prevalent social stigma like India. The findings show that traditional means may not be enough for building a TG-inclusive workplace, and organizations need to go the extra mile by promoting positive deviance and TG-centric corporate social responsibility initiatives to achieve results.
Originality/value
The results of this study provide insights for organizations seeking to improve the experiences of their TG employees and promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The incorporation of HR professionals' insights offers a practical perspective, and the conceptual framework proposed for organizations to overcome TG employment barriers is a novel contribution.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the positive side of employee deviance. Historically, research exploring employee deviance focussed on undesirable organisational and individual outcomes. Thus, previous research has empirically established that employee deviance harms both the organisation and organisation's employees. Recent studies argue that employee deviance also has a positive effect; however, such studies are limited in number. The extant research fails to consider the positive side of employee deviance, and therefore, the present studies bridge the gap through a systematic literature review on positive deviance.
Design/methodology/approach
The study examined peer-reviewed theoretical and empirical journal articles related to workplace deviance. An initial search resulted in 2,691 research articles, of which 40 papers were considered relevant for the study given the objective of this paper. Research papers were extracted from the Web of Science, EBSCO and Scopus. The extracted data were then synthesised to formulate the research questions and objectives for this study.
Findings
Basing on the systematic literature review, the study presents six main themes: positive deviance and younger workforce, positive deviant leader and subordinates and positive deviance as a strategic tool for employee engagement, positive deviance and positive organisational scholarship, positive deviance and entrepreneurial orientation. The study also proposes positive deviance as a mediator/moderator of other relationships within an organisation.
Research limitations/implications
Systematic literature is a methodology that relies on the availability and accessibility of research studies based on the research criteria. The study considered three significant databases to identify the relevant papers for the study. Therefore, the research is limited, and the possibility of omitting the papers is not ruled out, although unintentional.
Originality/value
The paper is plausibly the first research to conduct a systematic literature review on positive deviance. The study establishes and reconfirms the encouraging side of employee deviance. The study extends the literature on workplace deviance in two significant ways. First, the paper systematically examines the empirical and review literature related to positive deviance and presents a greater understanding of the predictors, consequences, methodologies, etc. Second, the study highlights the critical research gaps in this area and suggests the course of action for future research.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to develop and propose an espoused model of women's entrepreneurship (EMWE) and test its predictive power on women's entrepreneurial intentions. Also, the authors examine the moderating role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, given its dynamic nature that can be influenced by training.
Design/methodology/approach
Data was collected from 303 female students from undergraduate/postgraduate programs in reputed Indian higher education institutions using a self-administered questionnaire.
Findings
The study confirmed that all four factors – perceived entrepreneurial potential, perceived relational support, perceived educational support and perceived structural support – were positively related to the women’s entrepreneurial intentions. Simultaneously, results confirmed the moderating effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy.
Research limitations/implications
The study presents that more women may be inclined towards adopting entrepreneurship as their career based on their potential and self-efficacy if adequate educational, relational and structural support was provided.
Originality/value
Existing studies in entrepreneurship have focused primarily on men. This work fills this gap and not only proposes but empirically examines the EMWE in the Indian context. It also provides evidence of a significant impact of perceived entrepreneurial potential and perceived relational support on women’s entrepreneurial intentions and posits the role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy as an important moderator, unlike past studies.

Abstract
The purpose of the chapter is to highlight the role of strategic human resources in building resilient organisations. Our research also aims to highlight how resilient organisations are poised better to take on constantly changing business environment and deliver superior products and service experiences to the target market. With the help of an extensive literature review and real-world cases, our research focusses on key elements of strategic human resources and then establishes the linkages between the contribution of individual employees and HR policies towards the achievement of these crucial elements. The findings suggest that the aggregation of individual contributions and HR practices lead to the development of resilience in organisations and helps them to deliver better on all critical indicator of performance. The research has important implications for all important stakeholders including scholars, practitioners, and policymakers, among others. Organisations are also crucial for ensuring the well-being of the masses as their contribution in terms of taxes and duties becomes instrumental in funding various social welfare programs run by governments across the globe. The research is unique in the sense that it draws the linkages between organisations’ resilience and their performance through the creation, development, and management of strategic human resources.
