Abstract
In the spring of 1982, I published an article in Reference Services Review on marketing libraries and information services. The article covered available literature on that topic from 1970 through part of 1981, the time period immediately following Kotler and Levy's significant and frequently cited article in the January 1969 issue of the Journal of Marketing, which was first to suggest the idea of marketing nonprofit organizations. The article published here is intended to update the earlier work in RSR and will cover the literature of marketing public, academic, special, and school libraries from 1982 to the present.

Abstract
Although our grandparents cautioned us against believing that bigger is better, it is advice usually ranked in quality of clairvoyance with counsel about the benefits of being early to bed and early to rise. Some elements of truth, perhaps, but probably larger proportions of nonsense.

Abstract
Leaving the Campus, Getting Smart The truth, so important to ancient Greek philosophers, was meant to be teased out of students by a barrage of questions and follow‐up questions intended to narrow an argument and conclude in an expression of fact thought to be implicitly known by all rational pupils. This method constituted a highly idealistic belief in the ability to draw conclusions about the nature of reality without leaving the classroom.
