Abstract
Purpose
The study explores government primary school students' remote learning experience during school closures due to COVID-19.
Design/methodology/approach
A qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews were employed for data collection. The study used a snowball sampling procedure to select 24 participants.
Findings
This study shows that students experienced setbacks in learning due to not having access to resources. Besides, online classes were expensive as they were not able to buy devices, internet package and other resources to participate in the remote classes. Since many students were unable to access digital media and get parental and teacher support for education, students' engagement in learning was very low. Moreover, the paucity of learning due to school closures has lowered students' motivation for learning. The study also contributed to understanding children's emotional attachment with the schools and how the closure affected their well-being. The results indicate that the students, teachers and parents did not have a positive experience with remote teaching–learning and the modalities did not contribute to continuing with meaningful learning.
Originality/value
The remote learning experience shared in this study can be used to inform policymakers, educators and stakeholders exploring remote learning solutions in low-resource contexts. This study contributes to understanding the skills and competencies teachers require to support children's learning during any crisis.

Abstract
This study aims to empirically examine the influence of transformational leadership on job satisfaction in Jordanian commercial banks through knowledge sharing as a mediator. The data were collected from 232 employees and then analyzed through regression analysis using SPSS. The results revealed that there is a significant influence of transformational leadership on job satisfaction, as well as a significant influence of knowledge sharing on this relationship. These findings imply that if managers adopt transformational leadership, their subordinates can be satisfied with their jobs, specifically if they facilitate knowledge sharing. This study sheds light on improving organizational performance and employee engagement in a specific context and provides excellent direction for future contributions.

Abstract
While computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologies are highly commendable for their applications and usage, sometimes cases involving facial anatomy restoration may not necessarily require these highly sophisticated technologies. A suitable replacement that is also non‐contact and allows fast image capture is the laser digitizer surface scanner. This scanner takes only seconds to capture an image of the patient’s sound or healthy facial anatomy. By using the captured image data, it is possible, with the help of a surface data modeller rapid prototyping (RP) machine and vacuum casting machine, to manufacture the prosthesis for implant. Presents a novel approach for facial prosthesis fabrication through a case study of a prosthetic ear model using an integrated manufacturing system comprising the laser surface digitizer, surface data modeller, rapid prototyping system and vacuum casting system.

Abstract
As rapid prototyping technologies improve in accuracy and reliability so the range of applications increases. A number of new systems have recently come on the market and already established systems are showing significant improvements in the materials being used. The systems available appear to be focused on two distinct market sectors. Machines are being used as design office support facilities or “desktop” manufacturing units. Machines are also being used as “shopfloor” systems, concentrating on downstream activities. Suggests that one future for this technology is side‐by‐side with conventional machine tools as one of the process route options for a manufacturing company. One way of achieving this may be to integrate industrial robotics with the technology in the form of flexible manufacturing (or rapid prototyping) cells.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper was to posit and test hypotheses concerned with relationships between teachers' demographics, locus of control and career stages.
Design/methodology/approach
A sample consisting of 416 Australian non‐executive high school teachers was gathered from 40 randomly selected high schools. Multilevel regression analysis reflecting the nested nature of the sample of teachers within schools, and allowing for testing for school effects, was employed.
Findings
The paper finds that significant gender and years of teaching experience differences were identified for a number of career stages. There were positive relationships between years of teaching experience and later career stages. A number of multilevel models relating locus of control and demographic variables to career stage were developed and are reported.
Originality/value
The paper shows that teachers' generalized beliefs about personal control may be related to career stages and school practices should nurture beliefs in personal control, rather than dependence on powerful others in the school setting.

This paper applies new empirically‐based knowledge in the area of constituent market orientation to a seven‐element taxonometric model of virtual organisation. The most effective distribution of resources and management attention in the development of combinations of real and virtual business solutions is identified for each of the seven alternative configurations.
