Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to understand the research data management (RDM) services offered by academic libraries in South Asian and Southeast Asian countries. This study aims to evaluate the library and information science professionals’ required RDM skills and the challenges faced with providing RDM services.
Design/methodology/approach
The research methodology for this study used a survey method with purposive sampling. Data were collected through online structured questionnaires, which were used to examine the current state of RDM services offered in academic libraries in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Findings
South Asian and Southeast Asian region major types of RDM services provided were data repository, data management training, maintaining Web resources, data study and analysis, and promoting awareness of reusable data sources. Little attention was given to advisory services on data analysis/mining/visualization and supporting reproducibility and workflow transparency. The results indicated that most respondents agreed that metadata standards and data management planning skills were required for RDM services in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Originality/value
This study is significant because it offers a comprehensive assessment of ongoing RDM services in academic libraries of South Asia and Southeast Asia. Most current literature focuses on best practices in developed nations. This study highlights the need for more competent and dedicated academic staff for effective RDM services. Library professionals can use this study to identify the gaps in RDM services and suggest formative measures to overcome such challenges.

Purpose
Soy beverage is becoming more and more popular because it is touted as a healthy food containing useful phytochemicals and is free from lactose and cholesterol. The purpose of this paper is to optimize the spray drying process parameters for obtaining soy beverage powder with good reconstitution and handling properties.
Design/methodology/approach
Pre-concentrated soy beverage was dried in a laboratory model spray dryer, and the effects of inlet air temperature (180-220°C), feed rate (20-40 ml/min) and feed solid content (15-25 per cent) on some physical parameters and reconstitution properties (wettability and dispersibility) of spray-dried soy beverage powders were investigated. Second order polynomial response surface model was selected for the analysis of data and optimization of the process.
Findings
Spray drying of soy beverage at different processing conditions resulted in powders with particle size (volume mean diameter) in the range of 86 to 156 µm. Dispersibility and wetting time of the spray-dried soy beverage powders was found to be in the range of 56 to 78 per cent and 30 to 90 s respectively, under various drying conditions. Inlet air temperature was found to be the main factor affecting most of the quality parameters, followed by solid content of the feed. Temperature significantly affected the wettability, dispersibility, colour parameters, particle size and flowability of the powder at p ≤ 0.01. Lower temperature and higher feed solid content produced bigger-sized powder particles with better handling properties in terms of flowability and cohesiveness. A moderate inlet air temperature (196°C), higher feed solid content (24 per cent) and lower feed rate (27 ml/min) were found suitable for drying of soy beverage.
Practical implications
The study implied the possibility of producing powder from soy beverage using the spray-drying method and optimized drying conditions for obtaining soy beverage powder with good reconstitution properties.
Originality/value
The finding of this study demonstrated for the first time how the inlet air temperature, feed solid content and feed rate during spray-drying influenced different quality parameters of soy beverage powder. Further, an optimized drying condition has been identified.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to conceptualize the influencing characteristics of user-generated content over perceived structure of social platforms to plan various business practices to improve the social commerce activities especially in emerging markets.
Design/methodology/approach
In first step, key factors are identified from the systematic literature studies and experts’ opinion. Second, total interpretive structural modeling is used to interpret the complexity of relationships among various factors. Further, fuzzy-MICMAC analysis is used to determine the most driving factors to improve the social commerce.
Findings
The study illustrates hierarchical relationships that can help policy designers, business leaders and decision makers to gain maximum benefits of mining the user-generated content to implement the people-oriented changes to improve economic capability of a country.
Research limitations/implications
The applicability of the study findings can be deployed mostly in emerging economies. The study has not considered the data security, cyberbullying, authenticity and reliability of shared content spread virally over social sites.
Practical implications
The paper will assist policy makers, business planners and solution providers to give importance to public-led influencing patterns to offer business solutions based on people demand and choices.
Social implications
The customers’ engagement, sharing reviews, getting suggestions from other people and finding new trends through user-generated content would enable higher social commerce activities.
Originality/value
The paper develops hierarchical relationships to represent the advancements in business and marketing activities based on influencing patterns and behavior of users over social sites.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to understand the relative intensity of the challenges and problems faced by small-scale entrepreneurs in Uttarakhand.
Design/methodology/approach
A survey methodology was used for this study. The judgement sampling method was used to select the sample for this study. The data were collected from 240 small-scale entrepreneurs using a self-structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, principal component analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyse the data.
Findings
The survey found that marketing, finance, taxation, human resource and government support–related problems are the major problems of small-scale entrepreneurs in the state.
Research limitations/implications
This study was conducted in both rural and urban areas, but due to the unreachability of rural entrepreneurs, the representation of rural entrepreneurs is less, so the findings are more inclined towards urban entrepreneurs.
Practical implications
The research has highlighted the intensity of the major problems faced by small-scale entrepreneurs in Uttarakhand. Although many support schemes are operational in the state, small–scale entrepreneurs face many challenges, so this study provides solutions for those challenges.
Originality/value
This study is unique in that it measures the intensity of problems and challenges of small-scale entrepreneurs and provides insight into more serious issues prevalent in the state.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of present study is to identify influential aspects of published literature, research streams and future research questions to set forth future research agenda based on comprehensive literature review using bibliometric and content analysis.
Design/methodology/approach
The study analyzed 285 documents from the international Scopus database using bibliometric analysis and content analysis. VOSviewer software is used for bibliometric analysis.
Findings
The study identified influential aspects of published literature; identified five significant research streams: (1) Demonetization and financial system, (2) Demonetization and financial technology, (3) Demonetization and financial market, (4) Demonetization and digital payment system and (5) Demonetization and governance and proposed 27 key future research questions to develop future research agenda.
Practical implications
The present study makes significant contribution to the literature by providing a framework for future research. The framework provides opportunities to future researchers to explore the web of relations among five identified research streams as future research agenda.
Originality/value
The present work is unique in its way of contribution, as to the best of researchers' knowledge no work was witnessed in published literature to cover demonetization in a detailed and comprehensive manner. The present study fills this gap by conducting bibliometric analysis and content analysis. The study proposed conceptual framework for demonetization characterization to understand the demonetization literature well; and also proposed framework for future researcher to be explored further.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to check the actual life of lubricating oil.
Design/methodology/approach
Present work aims to find the remaining useful life of the lubricant based on study of periodic deterioration of oil. Chronological samples of oil were selected from the dumper of a local open cast mine. The deterioration in oil was studied using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
Findings
The data obtained from FTIR spectroscopy was used in vector projection approach and analytical hierarchy process to evaluate the remaining useful life of the lubricating oil.
Originality/value
FTIR spectra were used to study the periodic deterioration of oil. IR radiation with all frequencies in the range was passed through the sample. Radiations at certain frequency, depending upon the molecular structure of compounds in the sample were absorbed and rest was transmitted by the sample. A spectrum representing molecular absorption or transmission was obtained. Transmission spectra have been used in the study. Comparing the percent value of transmission peak of different chronological sample with that of fresh oil was used to represent the periodic degradation in oil.

Operating ethically when developing and marketing a product or service is critical. An essential aspect of this process is ensuring that a company's guiding principles and values are congruent with its overarching goals. Concerns span from the veracity of marketing to the preservation of individual privacy to the impact of design on the natural world and human civilization. It also entails taking precautions if a product or advertising campaign has unforeseen repercussions. In today's interdependent and globalized world, it is more important than ever for firms to employ morally acceptable design and marketing tactics to acquire consumer trust and generate beneficial social and environmental benefits. This chapter offers insights for future researchers by offering a conceptual framework in ethics in design and marketing, which can be empirically tested. This study highlights several factors like privacy, manipulation, representation and diversity, accessibility, sustainability, social responsibility, and truth in advertising as important factors leading to ethical concerns in design marketing.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of the study is to explore the relationship among organisation information technology support (OITS), knowledge sharing behaviour (KSB) and service innovation performance (SIP) in the context of the Indian Hospitality Industry (IHI). This study also attempts to examine the role of KSB as a mediator in the relationship between IT support and SIP and the firm age test as a moderating variable for service innovation performance.
Design/methodology/approach
Proposed relations are empirically examined, and the study was carried out on 115 employees from 71 randomly selected hotels situated in the major five travel destinations of Uttarakhand state of India. Initially, confirmatory factor analysis was performed to validate the construct, afterword structural equation modeling (SEM)-Path analysis was accomplished. The researcher examines the mediation and moderation relations of the variables through statistical tests executed with the help of AMOS 24 and SPSS 26.
Findings
The study result indicated that organisation IT support has a positive influence on knowledge sharing and SIP. The mediation result findings showed KSB is partially mediated between OITS and SIP. Sequentially, firm age moderation found the statistical results shown significant difference in young and old hotels.
Research limitations/implications
This study only covers the aspect of the “knowledge sharing behaviour” dimension among the major organizations’ IT support capabilities and examined both variables that might be anticipated in SIP. Considering this limitation, new areas of research investigation are open to future researchers.
Practical implications
The study has both theoretical and managerial implications for academicians, practitioners and researchers. An attempt to conceptualise detailed insights on organisational IT support adaptation and KSB enhancement, which further leads to lifting SIP. Moreover, the study recommended for professionals to implement KM practices and mobilise the knowledge resources optimally to achieve better organizational outcomes.
Originality/value
The study attempts to delineate the proposed relationship and provides valuable insights for practitioners and academicians by including the knowledge sharing dimension to improve the SIP context of the IHI.
