Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and business performance, through mediating factors (operating performance, information quality, product quality, design performance, environmental performance and competitive priorities). Most of the published literature examines the direct impact of implementation of QMS on business performance, and on some of the above stated factors. However, the impact of implementation of QMS on business performance, through these mediating factors has not received much attention. Accordingly, the authors develop a theoretical framework depicting impact of implementation of QMS on business performance through the above stated factors.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper proposes several hypotheses linking implementation of QMS, mediating factors and business performance. The hypothesized model is empirically tested using data collected from 120 professionals working in quality engineering/management in India and North America. The collected data are analyzed with the aid of structural equation modeling (SEM) technique.
Findings
Information quality and design performance have emerged as the important factors in the research. Information quality directly effects design performance, operating performance and environmental performance. The model indicates that besides a well-designed product, managers need to focus on the operating performance to improve overall product quality. Empirical evidence is found regarding direct and indirect effect of implementation of QMS on above stated mediating factors and on business performance.
Originality/value
The research fills a gap in the literature by considering several mediating factors that aid in improving business performance with implementation of QMS.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to examine how perceived brand credibility (PBC) moderates the adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) and identifies the influencing variables that consumers consider while adopting IoT products and services. The study uses the technology acceptance model (TAM) and extends its constructs by investigating the role of PBC to measure the intention to use IoT.
Design/methodology/approach
To test the proposed relationships, data was gathered using the survey method, from respondents in India, an emerging market. The data was analyzed using partial least square based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Moreover, the study measured the moderating effect of PBC and evaluated the effect of control variables – gender and degree of exposure to IoT.
Findings
The study found that perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) have a significant influence on customers’ attitudes towards using IoT devices and services. Further, PBC moderates the relationship between attitude and behavioral intention to utilize IoT devices and services. Both components of PBC – brand trustworthiness and trust – have significant moderating effect on the adoption of IoT-based services and devices.
Originality/value
The study tests TAM empirically in a new setting and extends it further. Introducing PBC as a moderating variable improves the understanding of the way consumers adopt IoT technology and hence strengthens the predictive power of TAM. Thus, the study provides rich insights for businesses to effectively position their IoT devices and services among their target users.

Abstract
Purpose
The present study aims to identify and investigate the antecedents of enhanced level of cyber-security at the organisational level from both the technical and the human resource perspective using human–organisation–technology (HOT) theory.
Design/methodology/approach
The study has been conducted on 151 professionals who have expertise in dealing with cyber-security in organisations in sectors such as retail, education, healthcare, etc. in India. The analysis of the data is carried out using partial least squares based structural equation modelling technique (PLS-SEM).
Findings
The results from the study suggest that “legal consequences” and “technical measures” adopted for securing cyber-security in organisations are the most important antecedents for enhanced cyber-security levels in the organisations. The other significant antecedents for enhanced cyber-security in organisations include “role of senior management” and “proactive information security”.
Research limitations/implications
This empirical study has significant implications for organisations as they can take pre-emptive measures by focussing on important antecedents and work towards enhancing the level of cyber-security.
Originality/value
The originality of this research is combining both technical and human resource perspective in identifying the determinants of enhanced level of cyber-security in the organisations.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to find the best tools to influence the improvement of sustainability in food supply chains (FSCs) by conducting a systematic review of articles. The reader will learn how the different industry 4.0 tools (I4.0T) benefit the FSC and the limitations of each tool.
Design/methodology/approach
A review of 436 articles published during the period 2019 to 2022 referenced in the Scopus and Web of Science databases was performed. The review was limited to articles published in English and directly related to Industry 4.0, circular economy and sustainability in the food supply chain.
Findings
The results show different contributions of I4.0, with some being more influential than others in improving sustainability in FSCs; for example, Internet of Things and Blockchain have been shown to contribute more toward transparency, traceability, process optimization and waste reduction.
Originality/value
The paper's contribution consisted of ranking according to their importance and the I4.0T that affect sustainability in FSCs by classifying the aspects of each tool and the sustainability factors through a categorization by the Analysis Hierarchy Process.
