Abstract
Investigates how high school department heads may play a role in the alignment of teachers with a principal’s vision for the school. A survey study based on a theoretical position of the high school as a loosely‐coupled system consisting of departments with distinct subcultures and department heads who are influential leaders is reported. As expected, principal components and multiple regression analyses suggest that behaviours of the principal which emphasise and reinforce the school vision, predict the extent to which teachers support the principal’s vision. However, the congruence of department heads and the principal, in terms of school vision, is a much stronger predictor of teachers’ support for the vision. To a lesser extent, stronger structural coupling between departments also contributes to teachers’ support of the school vision.

Abstract
Purpose
Digital sustainable maturity (DSM) is an important factor for gaining a competitive advantage. However, the literature on this topic is scarce. This study was designed to understand and formalize the concept of DSM and investigate models for measuring it in the context of supply chains.
Design/methodology/approach
To this end, a systematic literature review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) tool, whose steps and evaluation criteria resulted in a portfolio of 87 articles. These were analyzed based on pre-established criteria from the literature on scope, design and application.
Findings
The results revealed an emerging field, but with the domain of DSM still underexplored. No formal concept of DSM was found in the literature. Thus, this paper presents the first definition in the field, which can be understood as the organization’s dynamic capability to leverage its digital assets to promote sustainable performance in economic, environmental and social dimensions. Regarding the analyzed models, 72 maturity models were identified considering both domains. However, only nine of them provided a model for evaluating DSM. Overall, the models presented varied architectures, which made it impossible to determine a consistent approach for measuring maturity in this domain.
Originality/value
This study is original as it systematically integrated digital and sustainable constructs to measure maturity. Furthermore, it formalizes the concept of DSM, which was not found in the existing literature.

Abstract
Purpose
In recent years, futures study methods, especially scenario analysis, are used to plan for disaster and emergency management. Scenario method is suitable for public level policy making. Scenarios generated alternative descriptive futures in all of the development field such as disaster studies. This paper aims to systematically review the articles that generated scenarios in disaster management to attain gaps, challenges and opportunities related to use of scenario analysis in disasters.
Design/methodology/approach
This is a systematic review that was conducted based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The keywords that searched included “disaster,” “emergency,” “crisis,” “disruptive event,” “futures study,” “foresight,” “scenario,” “community-based scenario planning,” “participatory scenario planning,” “scenario planning” and “scenario analysis.” The Google Scholar, ISI Web of Science, Science Direct, PubMed and Scopus databases were searched.
Findings
A total of 981 article gathered after initial search between electronic databases. At final step, only ten articles included in the study. The selected articles compared according to many aspects. Most of the scenarios that developed in disaster management and planning concentrated on climate change and flooding related hazards. Many of studies developed three or four scenarios that it seems the number is suitable for disaster planning.
Originality/value
The paper serves as an original guideline for disaster planning.
