Abstract
A nonsimilar boundary layer analysis is presented for the problem of mixed convection in power‐law type non‐Newtonian fluids along a vertical wedge with variable wall temperature distribution. The mixed convection regime is divided into two regions, namely, the forced convection dominated regime and the free convection dominated regime. The two solutions are matched. Numerical results are presented for the details of the velocity and temperature fields. A discussion is provided for the effect of viscosity index on the surface heat transfer rate.

Abstract
A nonsimilar boundary layer analysis is presented for the problem of free convection in power‐law type non‐Newtonian fluids along a permeable vertical plate with variable wall temperature or heat flux distribution. Numerical results are presented for the details of the velocity and temperature fields. A discussion is provided for the effect of viscosity index on the surface heat transfer rate.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to critically review the isolation and chemistry of plant pigments.
Design/methodology/approach
A literature survey from 1974 to 2022 was carried out and studied thoroughly. The authors reviewed literature in various areas such as isolation methods and catalytic properties of pigments.
Findings
With vast growing research in the field of catalytic activities of various pigments like chlorophyll, anthocyanin and flavonoids, there is still scope for further research for the pigments such as Lycopene, carotenoids and xanthophyll as there has not been any significant work in this area.
Research limitations/implications
Plant pigments may be used as an ecofriendly catalyst for chemical reactions.
Practical implications
One can get the direction of pigment research.
Social implications
Plant pigments are natural and ecofriendly catalyst which can reduce the pollution.
Originality/value
This is an original work. This paper precisely depicts the advantages as well as disadvantages of the isolation techniques of pigments. This study also presents the chemistry of plant pigments.

Abstract
Purpose
The scope of this study is to explore and summarize the pool of dimensions, models and measurement techniques of service quality used in healthcare services and to propose a comprehensive conceptual model for practitioners and researchers.
Design/methodology/approach
This research employs a comprehensive review of available literature by using multiple keywords on different electronic repositories using the recommendations of the PRISMA approach for the selection of articles. A critical analysis of available studies helped in compiling a list of core service quality dimensions in healthcare services.
Findings
This paper presents a comprehensive account of different dimensions and their measurement items used by various researchers to assess service quality in healthcare systems. Most of the researchers have used SERVQUAL model either in its original or modified form while the others have proposed and used totally different dimensions to assess the service quality in healthcare. Many dimensions are just an existing dimension of SERVQUAL that has undergone a name change while others are completely new. The dimensions used by many researchers have items drawn from more than one dimension of SERVQUAL model. The availability of so many dimensions and models adds to the confusion that researchers and practicing managers experience when determining the appropriate model to be used in their work. To mitigate this confusion, there is a need to develop a comprehensive model; the current work is an attempt to meet this need. Through our analysis, we identify four major service quality dimensions: clinical quality, infrastructural quality, relationship and managerial quality and propose a model named CIRMQUAL.
Originality/value
After exploring all available models in the domain of healthcare, this research presents the best possible areas to enhance the quality of healthcare services. It also enhances the research insights for academicians and working professionals by developing and proposing a comprehensive model for measuring healthcare service quality. The proposed model covers almost all of the service quality dimensions used by other researchers and will make the choice of dimensions/model easy for the future researchers/practitioners interested in measuring and improving the quality of services offered by their healthcare units. Such a comprehensive model has not been developed by any researcher thus far.

Abstract
Purpose
Police organizations work better when officers feel satisfied with their jobs. High job satisfaction has been linked to positive outcomes for both officers and police organizations. Perceived fairness of transfers should be positively associated with job satisfaction. There has been little research in this area, and none of the limited past studies have studied this association among Pakistani police officers.
Design/methodology/approach
Data for the study comes from a survey of 550 officers working in the Lahore police stations in Punjab, Pakistan.
Findings
After controlling for location, work assignment, rank, length of service, marital status, age and educational level, the strongest predictor of job satisfaction was perceived fairness in transfers, an important aspect of policing in Pakistan.
Research limitations/implications
This was a single exploratory study that only measured perceived fairness of transfers. There is a need for additional studies. Further, broader measures of organizational fairness should be used in future studies.
Practical implications
Police administrators should ask staff why they perceive transfers as fair or not and what can be done to improve their perceptions.
Originality/value
There has been little research on police in Pakistan and the current study examined perceptions of fairness in terms of transfers with the job satisfaction among police officers in Pakistan.

This chapter has been seminal work of Dr K.S.S. Iyer, which has taken time to develop, for over the last 56 years to be presented here. The method in advance predictive analytics has developed, from his several other applications, in predictive modeling by using the stochastic point process technique. In the chapter on advance predictive analytics, Dr Iyer is collecting his approaches and generalizing it in this chapter. In this chapter, two of the techniques of stochastic point process known as Product Density and Random point process used in modelling problems in High energy particles and cancer, are redefined to suit problems currently in demand in IoT and customer equity in marketing (Iyer, Patil, & Chetlapalli, 2014b). This formulation arises from these techniques being used in different fields like energy requirement in Internet of Things (IoT) devices, growth of cancer cells, cosmic rays’ study, to customer equity and many more approaches.

Abstract
Purpose
Intense competition in every sector has put administrators under tremendous pressure to develop strategies for survival, and the educational sector is no exception. This paper aims to explore the dynamics between the factors that affect the quality of engineering institutes by developing an interpretive model.
Design/methodology/approach
The factors that affect the quality of engineering institutes are identified through a thorough review of extant literature, and the dynamics between them are studied using the total interpretive structural modeling (TISM) technique. The developed model has also been statistically validated.
Findings
Results indicate that top management leadership, location and infrastructure drive academics, research and consultancy, industry collaboration and placements, resulting in accreditation from global agencies, thereby improving the institute’s quality.
Research limitations/implications
The TISM framework was developed based on the suggestions of the majority of respondents rather than using a fuzzy one, which requires a much larger data set. Nevertheless, the bias of the majority approach can be removed by multiple conversations with respondents. Secondly, the model development and validation are based on the perceptions of faculty members working at engineering institutes in India. Scholars can extend the work in the future by identifying additional factors and considering administrators’ perceptions.
Originality/value
The study integrates the factors that impact the quality of engineering institutes in a unique way to understand their combined impact. The developed framework will assist policymakers in identifying and dedicating adequate resources to essential factors that drive the other factors, thereby enhancing the institute’s ranking.
