Abstract
Is UK business prepared for the new‐style EEC in 1992? The rewards are tempting but must not be taken for granted. Our all‐too‐insular image must be transformed, we must go to the Continent, rather than they to us, as hitherto, and our efforts to learn their languages need greater application if we are to compete on equal terms. This gauntlet is thrown down in a recent ministerial speech.
