This paper's aim is to describe recent developments at Copac – the service that gives access to the merged catalogues of many online catalogues of major university, specialist and national libraries in the UK and Ireland, including the British Library.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper is a descriptive account.
Findings
The paper identifies and describes some major improvements that are being made to Copac.
Originality/value
The paper is a valuable update on the service provided by Copac.

Design/methodology/approach
This paper takes a descriptive approach based on desk research.
Findings
Some indications of how Copac is being used by ILL practitioners are reported. New functionality is described.
Originality/value
The findings should prove to be of practical value for the ILL community. The description of new/forthcoming features allows the community to stay up‐to‐date with the Copac service.

Findings
The conference held a series of parallel sessions covering six key themes: information literacy and employability; information literacy and the digital future; transliteracy; future-proofing the information literacy practitioner; collaboration and partnerships; active learning and creative pedagogical approaches
Originality/value
The conference provided an insight into emerging trends for information literacy.
