Purpose
This report aims to provide an overview of the 9th American International Consortium of Academic Libraries (AMICAL) Meeting and Consortium held at the American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, April 4‐7, 2012.
Design/methodology/approach
The report provides main information about AMICAL, and describes the main topics of the Conference.
Findings
All the presentations and discussions created a unique environment to share experience and disseminate information among the Conference participants.
