Abstract
The paper offers an approach to Computer Aided Design of low‐voltage linear actuators, from the aspect of geometry, as the level preceding their optimal design. Magnetic circuit geometry in addition with the shading pole and exciting coil are taken as the objects of CAD. Complete complex computer program FEM‐3D is developed for this purpose. Finite Element Method — FEM in three dimensional domain is used in order to compute the field distribution, as well as for the evaluation of working characteristics.

Abstract
This paper aims to determine the electromagnetic forces acting in a power transformer, when a current corresponding to the first peak of a three‐phase circuit flows in the windings. The finite element method for the evaluation of the field’s values is applied, and the electromagnetic forces acting in a power transformer windings are calculated. Finally the results of a computation test by a personal computer for the exposed method are graphically presented and some conclusions about the behavior of the calculated electromagnetic forces are derived.
