Abstract
This chapter will deal with the issue of how to communicate about tourist destinations in times of crisis, with particular reference to the current coronavirus pandemic. Having affected the whole planet, the COVID-19 pandemic has determined and will also cause serious consequences in many different industries in the next future. It will have a heavy negative impact also in the tourism sector, especially regarding the visitors' perceptions of danger and the current suspension of travels. Today many nations and geographic areas are still in lockdown, but efforts are already being made, in some cases, to adopt recovery marketing strategies in order to reassure consumers and to prepare them for the future reopening of the destinations. In particular, some forms of communication adopted through Instagram by various destinations will be examined and the different strategies will be compared to assess their strengths and weaknesses.

Within individual countries, the paths towards increasing educational attainment are not always linear and individuals are not equally affected. Differences between boys’ and girls’ educational attainments are a common expression of this inequality as boys are more often favored for continued schooling. We examine the importance of birth cohort, sibship size, migration, and school accessibility for explaining both the gender gap and its narrowing in secondary schooling in one district in Northeast Thailand between 1984 and 1994. Birth cohort is a significant explanation for the narrowing of the gender gap. Migration, sibship size, and remote village location are important explanations for limited secondary education opportunities, especially for girls.

Abstract
To circumvent the high computational costs of modelling each lamination to compute the eddy current distribution in three dimensions in conducting laminations, a simple method has been developed. The laminar nature of the eddy currents due to the magnetic leakage field has been considered by applying an anisotropic conductivity with zero or very low value in the direction normal to the laminations. This yields an overall field distribution serving as basis. In a second step, the much smaller eddy current loops caused by the main magnetic flux parallel to the laminations have been taken into consideration by a one‐dimensional analytical model. Nonlinearity is neglected.

Abstract
Coming of age in the United States as an undocumented immigrant alters traditional rites of passage such as “completing school, moving out of the parental home, establishing employment, getting married, and becoming a parent” (Gonzales, 2011, p. 604). Yet, the implementation of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2012 began to reconcile some aspects in the life, educational, and occupational trajectories of nearly 800,000 youths. It is in the context of moving out the parental home or relocating that this chapter explores the decisions or processes that DACA beneficiaries encounter. Considering how “illegality,” place, and family impact the individual, this chapter demonstrates how different immigration statuses, attitudes, behaviours, and structures disparately, yet unequivocally, continue to frame coming of age processes. Drawing from seven interviews with undocumented Mexican youth benefiting from DACA along the Texas–Mexico border, this chapter introduces the term mixed-status familism. Mixed-status familism provides a nuanced approach to understand the ways in which the mixed-status nature of a family, their attitudes, behaviours, structures, and the place in which they reside continue to frame newly obtained individual opportunities in general and transitions to adulthood like relocating in specific. While most literature points to the benefits that DACA has provided for individuals and a few explore how these have transferred to the family, this chapter captures how family buffers both the impact of an undocumented status and the benefits of a temporary legal protection.

The contemporary retail landscape is witnessing a paradigm shift propelled by the assimilation of AR and VR technologies. The merging of AR and VR technology is bringing about an intense transition in the retail business, which is a constantly changing terrain. The retail industry is entering a new era of immersive and personalized shopping experiences because to this dynamic combination, which is changing the way consumers interact with items and places. With AR apps, customers can aim their smartphones to easily find things, get promotions in real time, and learn more about them. A virtual try-on experience that lets buyers see things in a virtual setting is made possible by AR. With realistic AR simulations, clients can try on items and arrange furnishings in their living room, making better educated purchases. The retailers are now able to provide much customized product suggestions because to AR. AR apps may make personalized product recommendations based on consumer preferences and purchase history, improving the entire shopping experience and raising customer happiness. This paper explores the many uses, difficulties and potential consequences of AR and VR in retail, emphasizing the significant transformations these technologies bring about for the sector. In-store navigation is being revolutionized by AR, which offers consumers an engaging and user-friendly navigational experience.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to develop a reluctance‐resistance network (RRN) formulation for determining the induced current distributions in a 3D space of multiply connected conducting systems.
Design/methodology/approach
The proposed RRN method has been applied to solve Problem No. 7 of the International TEAM Workshops. The induced currents in the conductive plate with an asymmetrically situated “hole” have been analysed. The RRN equations have been formed by means of the finite element method using the magnetic vector potential A and the electric vector potentials T and T0. The block relaxation method combined with the Cholesky decomposition procedure has been applied to solve the resultant RRN equations.
Findings
Comparison with results published in literature has demonstrated high accuracy of the proposed RRN computational scheme while offering significant savings in computing times.
Originality/value
A novel formulation of the RRN approach has been proposed and demonstrated to be computationally efficient.

The introduction provides an overview of the book and explains what the book adds to the literature on the COVID-19 pandemic. It describes the cross-national surveys used for the analyses and the types of questions that are asked in the book. We also explain why the United States and Finland were selected as our comparative cases and detail how this comparison provides a valuable lens for understanding the pandemic. Both nations are liberal democracies with highly developed economies, both score high in terms of compliance with the rule of law, both constitutionally guarantee freedom of speech and a free press, and both share similar cultural factors such has high levels of secularism, self-expression, happiness, social capital, and individualism. Both nations also have well-developed healthcare systems, and both nations were in similar economic positions that positioned them well to pivot to an online economy. Despite these similarities, the nations differ dramatically in size and position in the world system. They also differ with respect to their welfare systems and political systems. Finns also trust their government more than Americans trust theirs, and Finns have historically supported an interventionist state while Americans have always been anti-statism. Finally, another cross-national difference that likely influenced how people perceived the pandemic is the relative levels of security in each nation. With its more generous welfare system, Finns would be more confident about successfully navigating the pandemic than would Americans. The chapter ends with a brief description of how each substantive chapter is outlined.

Abstract
The paper presents an efficient modeling technique for the fluxset magnetic field sensor. Using separate numerical solutions for the electric and magnetic fields, an equivalent SPICE circuit is extracted in the postprocessing phase. The main contribution of the paper is the technique used to model the distributed capacitive effects in insulation between coils, by concentrating them in an “Extended II scheme”, an infinite circuit which is optimally reduced to a finite one. The results are in qualitative agreement with the experimental ones.
