Abstract
This article examines the multiple ways in which Hannah Arendt’s thought arose historically and in international context, but also how we might think about history and theory in new ways with Arendt. It is commonplace to situate Arendt’s political and historical thought as a response to totalitarianism. However, far less attention has been paid to the significance of other specifically and irreducibly international experiences and events. Virtually, all of her singular contributions to political and international thought were influenced by her lived experiences of, and historical reflections on, statelessness and exile, imperialism, transnational totalitarianism, world wars, the nuclear revolution, the founding of Israel, war crimes trials, and the war in Vietnam. Yet, we currently lack a comprehensive reconstruction of the extent to which Arendt’s thought was shaped by the fact of political multiplicity, that there are not one but many polities existing on earth and inhabiting the world. This neglect is surprising in light of the significant “international turn” in the history of thought and intellectual history, the growing interest in Arendt’s thought within international theory and, above all, Arendt’s own unwavering commitment to plurality not simply as a characteristic of individuals but as an essential and intrinsically valuable effect of distinct territorial entities. The article examines the historical and international context of Arendt’s historical method, including her critique of process- and development-oriented histories that remain current in different social science fields, setting out and evaluating her alternative approach to historical writing.

Abstract
The magnetic properties of CoAl2−2xCo2xO4 for 0 ≤ x ≤ 1 are studied. The values of the nearest neighbour (J1), next‐nearest neighbour (J2), intra‐plane (Jaa) and inter‐plane (Jab,Jac) exchange interactions are calculated by the mean field theory for ordered region and by the probability law adapted of the nature of dilution problem in A‐spinel lattice in spin glass region. The high‐temperature series expansions have been applied in the CoAl2−2xCo2xO4 systems, combined with the Padé approximants method, to determine the Néel temperature TN (K) or freezing temperature TSG (K) in the range 0 ≤ x ≤ 1. The critical exponents associated with the magnetic susceptibility (y) and the correlation lengths (v) are deduced in the range ordered 0.3 ≤ x ≤ 1. The obtained values of y and v are insensitive to the dilution ratio x and may be compared with other theoretical results based on 3D Heisenberg model.

The objective of this research is to examine the association of artificial intelligence (AI) awareness on workers' retention and the boundary conditions in the context of project organizations.
Design/methodology/approach
We collected time-lagged data from project organizations in China.
Findings
The results showed that AI awareness predicted workers' turnover intention. Moreover, this association was moderated via supervisor support.
Practical implications
This research provides several practical implications aimed at timely communication, training and automation guide for helping firms to foster healthy workplace climate, support and workers’ retention.
Originality/value
The rise of AI and its potential impact on manpower is a popular topic. Yet, the evidence of project workers’ awareness of such potential effects on their retention is scant. Therefore, this study broadens our understanding of the association of AI awareness on turnover intention and boundary conditions in the context of project organizations.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to investigate whether consumers’ identification with a brand community makes them more likely to engage in compulsive buying behavior. Specifically, this research shows that consumers are more likely to experience obsessive passion for brands they identify with if they are also part of brand communities, which, in turn, makes them more likely to engage in compulsive buying behavior.
Design/methodology/approach
An online survey (n = 533) among members of the Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth (ARMY) Bangtan Boys (BTS) brand community was conducted. A partial least squares approach was employed to test the validity and reliability of the measurement model as well as to assess the structural equation model.
Findings
Results show that brand identification affects harmonious and obsessive passion and that both relationships are moderated by brand community identification. Harmonious passion, in turn, has a positive effect on impulsive buying, whereas obsessive passion has a positive effect on both impulsive and obsessive-compulsive buying. Furthermore, consumer hedonic motivations moderate the relationship between (i) harmonious passion and impulsive buying and (ii) obsessive passion and obsessive-compulsive buying.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this work is the first to examine the potential negative impacts brand community identification has on compulsive buying behavior. Besides contributing to research on the negative aspects of brand community identification, by employing a model that distinguishes between two types of passion and compulsive buying, the study provides clarification on relationships suggested by prior studies.

Abstract
Purpose
To treat water pollution, especially the contamination resulted from organic dyes has aroused significant attention around the world, this study aims to prepare the metal organic framework (MOF) materials hybridizing with poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide) (PPTA) by means of a facile refluxing method and to systematically investigate adsorption performance for anionic dye Congo red as target molecule from aqueous solution.
Design/methodology/approach
The MOF materials hybridized by PPTA were fabricated by virtue of a facile refluxing method, characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and pore structure.
Findings
The results showed that pseudo-second-order kinetic model could better describe the adsorption process for all the four materials, whereas Elovich model also fitted the process for the hybrid materials with PPTA. Adsorption isotherm analyses indicated that Langmuir isotherm could be used to describe the adsorption process. Introduction of appropriate amount of PPTA could enhance the adsorption affinity of the MOF materials for Congo red, and the maximum adsorption capacity could reach as high as 1,053.41 mg/g while that of the MOF material without PPTA was 666.67 mg/g, indicating introduction of PPTA could change the microenvironment of the MOF materials and increase the adsorption sites, leading to high adsorption efficiency.
Research limitations/implications
The microstructure of MOF hybridized materials in detail is the further and future investigation.
Practical implications
This study will provide a method to prepare MOF materials with high efficiency to treat anionic dyes like Congo red from aqueous solution.
Originality/value
Owing to the special characteristics of PPTA and similar to carbon tube, PPTA was introduced into MOF material to increased corresponding water stability. Because of aromatic ring and amide group on the surface of PPTA, the adsorption efficiency of the hybridized MOF material with appropriate amount of PPTA was greatly enhanced.
