Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to understand the self-protective behaviors of young adult cyberstalking victims and the factors that impact adoption of such behaviors.
Design/methodology/approach
This study used a sample of 880 young adults (18–25 years of age) who had experienced cyberstalking victimization within the previous 12 months. Data were collected through an online self-report survey hosted on Qualtrics from Amazon’s Mechanical Turk workers.
Findings
Results revealed that three-quarters of cyberstalking victims engaged in at least one form of self-protective behavior. The most commonly adopted self-protective behavior was blocking unwanted communications only (29%), while 40% of cyberstalking victims noted engaging in multiple forms of self-protective behaviors. While results varied across models, findings revealed that incident characteristics and respondent characteristics impacted the likelihood of engaging in self-protective behaviors after a cyberstalking victimization experience.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the literature examining the self-protective behaviors adopted by cyberstalking victims, which can shed light on other forms of cyber abuse and help explain victims’ low reporting rates to official sources (e.g. law enforcement).

Purpose
Pyrus Pyrifolia (Sand Pear) is one of the most underused pear variety despite its nutraceutical potential. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the Pyrus Pyrifolia in term of origin, distribution and classification, nutritional and bioactive potential, therapeutic potential and valorization along with future prospectus.
Design/methodology/approach
A wide variety of publications (88) were identified through electronic databases (Science direct, PubMed, SciELO, Google scholar, Link springer and Research gate) under the umbrella of different keywords such as bioactive compounds, health benefits, nutrition, sand pear, Pyrus and Pyrus pyrifolia.
Findings
Pyrus Pyrifolia (Sand Pear) is abundant in nutritional and bioactive compounds such as phenolic acids, flavonoids, terpenoids, vitamins and minerals. It exhibits therapeutic potential as being an antioxidant, anti-obesity, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer agent. However, P. pyrifolia is not much explored by food researchers and industrialists, hence remaining underused. A few attempts have been made toward the use of P. pyrifolia for jam, jelly, candy and wine preparation. However, more research is required for the commercial processing of P. pyrifolia and to enhance its availability outside its growing area.
Originality/value
In this paper, nutritional and bioactive compounds of P. pyrifolia are discussed that provide knowledge to the researchers for its use as a functional ingredient.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of varying solid ratios in epoxy-based formulations on their corrosion resistance. The amounts of epoxy resin in the formulations were kept constant, and the behavior of paints with varying filler ratios was compared. It also examines the tensiometric and rheological properties of these formulations.
Design/methodology/approach
Three distinct epoxy-based formulations cured with amine compounds were prepared. The formulations underwent various testing protocols to evaluate their performance: coating tests: coated panels with cross lines were exposed to humidity and corrosive atmospheres. Tensiometric Measurements: Conducted using pendant and sessile drop methods. Rheological characterizations: ıncluded flow tests, oscillatory amplitude sweeps and three-interval thixotropy tests. Corrosion resistance assessment: after the panels were immersed in methanol for one week, measurements were taken using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Additional tests: neutral salt spray (NSS) and humidity testing.
Findings
The study observed that the coated panels, after exposure to NSS and humidity testing, demonstrated corrosion resistance within acceptable limits as defined by the ISO 12944-6 standard. Results indicate that the epoxy-based formulations show potential for improvements in paints and coatings, suggesting promising advancements in their anticorrosion performance.
Originality/value
This research provides insights into how the solid ratios in epoxy-based formulations influence their performance, particularly in terms of corrosion resistance, tensiometric and rheological properties. The findings contribute to the development of more effective epoxy resin-based coatings for industrial applications.

As the wave of liberalization and deregulation have accelerated to relieve rigid controls over airline routes, capacity, and fare setting regimes, Low Cost Carriers (LCCs) have emerged especially in local aviation markets since the 1970s.
This paper has studied the effects of LCC's entry into the domestic aviation market which was pre-occupied by two major carriers, Korean Air (KAL) and Asiana Airlines. Through a simple model describing two situations, prior and post to LCC's entry, we analyzed changes and trends of each airline's output and profit based on the Cournot and two-stage Stackelberg game equilibrium.
In summary, our conclusion consists of five points: (1) Even though JIN Air's entry reduced KAL's respective output and profit, the more JIN Air produces, the higher the joint-profit of KAL and JIN Air is, (2) From the joint-profit aspect, increasing KAL's output to a level than JIN Air's is more profitable on the Gimpo-Jeju route, on the other hand, increasing JIN Air's output higher than KAL's is more profitable on the Jeju-Busan route, (3) Even though JIN Air's entry increase Asiana Airline's output, the more JIN Air produces, the less Asiana Airlines's profit is, (4) Total output in markets as well as total profits of firms will increase under certain conditions, (5) KAL and JIN Air tend to get caught in an unresolved conflict on level of LCC cost.

Purpose
Although uncertainty has been identified as a key crisis characteristic and a multi-faceted construct essential to effective crisis management research and practice, only a few studies examined publics' perceived uncertainty with a focus on crisis severity uncertainty, leaving crisis responsibility uncertainty uninvestigated in organizational crisis settings.
Design/methodology/approach
To close this research gap empirically, this study employed data from an online survey of a total of 817 US adults to examine how participants' crisis responsibility uncertainty and their attribution-based crisis emotions might impact their crisis responses such as further crisis information seeking.
Findings
First, findings show that participants' crisis responsibility uncertainty was negatively associated with their attribution-independent (AI) crisis emotions (i.e. anxiety, fear, apprehension and sympathy) and external-attribution-dependent (EAD) crisis emotions (i.e. disgust, contempt, anger and sadness), but positively associated with internal-attribution-dependent (IAD) crisis emotions (i.e. guilt, embarrassment and shame). Second, crisis responsibility uncertainty and AI crisis emotions were positive predictors for participants' further crisis information seeking. Third, AI crisis emotions and IAD crisis emotions were parallel mediators for the relationship between participants' crisis responsibility uncertainty and their further crisis information seeking.
Practical implications
Organizations need to pay attention to the perceived uncertainty about crisis responsibility and attribution-based crisis emotions since they can impact the decision of seeking crisis information during an ongoing organizational crisis.
Originality/value
This study improves uncertainty management in organizational crisis communication research and practice, connecting crisis responsibility uncertainty, attribution-based crisis emotions and publics' crisis information seeking.

Abstract
FDI is considered to be a meaningful component for the economic growth of a country. But, it has not been proven clear that the effect of FDI is really beneficial in a host country regardless of the state of the countries. This paper tries to provide an evidence of the effect of FDI in developing country. To do this, we relate industry level value-added to inward and outward FDI stocks in Korea in a production function framework. Especially we divide inward FDI into FDI on the Greenfield projects and FDI for M&A. The results show that the effect of inward FDI as a whole on productivity is not statistically significant, though we can presume that the direction is positive, whereas the effect of outward FDI is strongly negative, and is statistically significant. But the effects of inward FDI by the characteristics of FDI are not differentiated.

Abstract
Purpose
The paper aims to apply a modified version of the MPS method to a double-dam-breaking test in which high dispersion zones and high natural clusterization zones are present, such as when the water column collapses into two sides and the two solitary waves collide, respectively.
Design/methodology/approach
The work takes advantage of the mixed source term from the cheaper computational version of the moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) method to reduce one step from the MPS classical algorithm. The proposed test can be successfully simulated by applying modifications to the variance parameter in the Laplacian operator and gradient model.
Findings
The results show stable behavior in dispersion and clusterization zones. Also, the collision and merging produced by solitary waves was successfully simulated.
Research limitations/implications
The main limitation in this work was the development of a comparison between the obtained results and the simulations with the original cheaper computational version of the MPS, this limitation is due to the overestimation of inter particle repulsive forces from its gradient model.
Practical implications
The application of solitary waves is of paramount importance in a number of applications, and this stems from the fact that the interaction of solitary waves with ships and other floating structures could generate highly deformed and complex free surface flows.
Social implications
For future work, the modified version of the MPS method can be applied in flow over sill base simulations, in close and open channels, and in simulating breaking waves to determine impact pressures by using solitary wave propagation.
Originality/value
The simulation of interaction of large groups of particles as in the case when two solitary waves collide could cause severe instability problems in pressure, causing the computer analysis to stop. MPS classical algorithm takes into account an explicit step that, in this case, may provoke the problem. For this reason, the cheaper version of MPS method is used to correctly simulate solitary wave interactions.
