Abstract
Deregulation is having a major impact on all aspects of firm behavior in the banking industry. Bankers now find themselves in a more competitive environment which may require different operating rules for firm growth and profitability. To understand the types of adjustments that are taking place in this market, a national survey of 410 commercial bank chief executive officers (CEOs) was conducted and results analyzed. The primary objective of this analysis was to estimate the impact that deregulation has had on the CEO selection criteria within the banking industry. Bank CEOs were divided into groups based on tenure in office to measure the influence of deregulation on the selection process. A key result of this analysis suggests that the most recently selected CEOs view the ability to manage and motivate, and communication skills as relatively more important in their selection in comparison to the most tenured bankers. While change has occurred in the selection criteria,experience in the loan officer position is still considered a major asset for anyone seeking to become a bank CEO.

Abstract
Understanding individual traits associated with successful performance in internal auditing is needed to enhance efficiency in personnel policies affecting staffing, career development, and retention of auditors and managers trained in internal auditing. This study attempted to ascertain salient characteristics of individuals that may be associated with successful performance, by examining traits of successful and less successful auditors of a large manufacturing firm. The results show that, of the characteristics analyzed, individual levels of job satisfaction and motivation are most closely associated with performance.

Aim of the present monograph is the economic analysis of the role of MNEs regarding globalisation and digital economy and in parallel there is a reference and examination of some legal aspects concerning MNEs, cyberspace and e‐commerce as the means of expression of the digital economy. Abstract
Leaders derive their capacity for driving institutional change from their power over organizations, but prior research says little about how leaders with limited power over a dominant intraorganizational group can acquire such a capacity for institutional action. This chapter develops a multilevel model that helps to understand how leaders of public service organizations were able to introduce “contract organization” form of organizational governance that enabled them to outsource the provision of public services to private firms. By doing so, this chapter adds to existing accounts of how power and political processes can give rise to organizational and institutional change.

Abstract
Although the topics of business ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are not new, this article focuses on the changing role of both subjects in the current business world. Having heard much about CSR in the past, the authors were under the impression that it had taken hold as a movement and more and more corporations were leaning toward ethical business practices and social responsibility. Media attention on the shocking revelations of the tobacco industry stimulated their interest in investigating this impression. Their research indicates that, although some corporations are still practicing unethical behavior, many more indicated that they have a social responsibility to their stakeholders.

Abstract
VR games like VRChat offer players the opportunity to construct avatars mirroring their real-world identity, encompassing various facets including makeup, fashion style, body proportions and skin tone. This chapter explores how the real-life identity of players and the persona crafted within VRChat are related to one another and to what extent the avatar relates to self-perception. Avatar appearance can significantly affect how individuals interact with others in virtual environments. Appearance can also affect the degree to which the player can use the digital space for self-expression. Expressing self-identity through avatar design is therefore critical in establishing embodiment and presence in VR environments. Avatar design influences how individuals form social connections, build relationships and collaborate online, increasingly important in VR games like VRChat. Utilising Goffman's theory of self-presentation, this chapter draws on interview data from 20 VRChat users to understand the motivations and influences affecting avatar design. These choices are assessed in the context of creating an embodied actor in VR. The interview findings emphasise the role of avatar customisation in manifesting users' ideas of their authentic selves in the virtual realm. Supported by survey data, the insights highlight users' motivations based on personality traits, interests, social and personal identities, and cultural aesthetics derived from real-life experiences. This chapter underscores the complex interplay between real and virtual identities, highlighting the significant influence of cultural and social foundations on identity manifestation within VR environments.
