Abstract
Before the Council for the Accreditation of Correspondence Colleges in the U.K. was established, appreciable numbers of men and women had made use of correspondence courses in preparing for professional qualifications. Many of these students subsequently occupied responsible positions, and a fair proportion of them were resident overseas.
