Abstract
RESEARCH INTO POLLUTANTS in aircraft hydraulic circuits started about 20 years ago, in connection with failure of remote control missiles due to servo‐command obstructions. Later, with the inception of the NASA space programmes in the United States, more thorough studies were initiated when it became apparent that space craft trajectory errors could in some cases be attributed to the presence of such obstructions.
