Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of the study is to measure the impact of user adaptation of enterprise resources planning (ERP) post implementation through an appreciation of the benefits ERP provides to its users in Saudi Arabia (SA). The study will also measure the moderation effect of user experience with ERP on the relationship between user adaptation of ERP and user benefits from ERP.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors conducted a survey questionnaire study of 253 ERP users and tested the research model through the application of a hierarchical multiple regression analysis.
Findings
The findings show that user adaptation of ERP has a strong positive impact on ERP user benefits. In addition, it is found that the level of user experience with ERP has no significant moderation effect on the relationship between user adaptation of ERP and ERP user benefits.
Practical implications
The study findings suggest that functional management should develop appropriate strategies to effectively manage user adaptation of ERP. An equally important implication is for the ERP vendors to consider making their ERP systems as flexible and maintainable as possible by offering effective tools to easily accommodate changes in user requirements with minimum effort and cost.
Originality/value
This study provides insights into the inter-relationships between the motivation for improving user adaptation of ERP and gaining more benefits from ERP systems. It will also extend our understanding of the moderation effect of user experience with ERP on the relationship between user adaptation of ERP and ERP user benefits in developing countries.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to develop functional probiotic Labneh cheeses supplemented with broccoli florets.
Design/methodology/approach
Probiotic Labneh cheese was produced using broccoli florets paste at four different levels (0, 5, 10 and 15%), with Lactobacillus casei NRRL B-1922 as a probiotic strain, to evaluate its physicochemical, phenols, antioxidant activity, minerals, vitamins, textural, microbiological and sensory characteristics during storage for 15 days.
Findings
The results indicated that Labneh cheese with added broccoli paste exhibited significantly (p = 0.05) higher level of moisture, acidity, soluble nitrogen, phenols, antioxidant activity, minerals and B vitamins, and lower protein, fat, ash and pH values when compared to control Labneh cheese. Textural analysis of Labneh cheese indicated that Labneh with higher level of broccoli (15%) exhibited harder texture than others. Higher viable counts of Lactobacillus casei and Streptococcus thermophilus were detected in Labneh with broccoli paste, and the counts (107 cfu/g) were higher than the number should be present to achieve their health benefits. The most acceptable Labneh cheeses were those supplemented with 5 and 10% broccoli paste.
Originality/value
This study revealed broccoli florets could enhance the growth of Lactobacillus casei and Streptococcus thermophilus in the Labneh matrix, which resulted in a wider spectrum of health benefits of Labneh cheese to the consumers.

Abstract
Purpose
The aim of this research is to measure the impact of eWOM (electronic word of mouth) and brand celebrity use on the purchasing behavior of sports consumers.
Design/methodology/approach
To test the model hypotheses, sports consumers who use social media and have purchased at least one online sports product were selected as the research group. Online survey method was used, and 836 participants were reached. The model was tested with structural equation modeling (SEM) through smart PLS software.
Findings
As a result, the quality, credibility and usefulness of the information consumers encounter on online platforms cause them to adopt information about products or services, and then exhibit online purchase behavior. While the attractiveness and trustworthiness of celebrities are seen as important factors affecting consumers' online purchase of sports products, the effect of celebrity expertise was found to be ineffective in this study.
Practical implications
Marketers can develop more effective eWOM strategies by considering consumers' expectations. Businesses that want to implement an effective marketing strategy may prefer celebrities in product promotions or advertisements of their brands.
Originality/value
This research revealed the effect of eWOM and celebrity endorsement on the online purchase behavior of sports consumers in terms of the sports industry. Unlike previous studies, this study examined these variables together on sports consumers and contributed to the development of models.

Purpose
Developing and maintaining green innovation (GI) and environmental performance (EP) has become a significant challenge for every organization. The present paper attempts to confirm the contributions of technology leadership (TL) and green HRM (GHRM) to green work engagement (GWE), GI and EP. The study also recognizes GWE’s contribution to connecting TL, GHRM, GI and EP.
Design/methodology/approach
The study applies a deductive approach where data are gathered through questionnaires from employees of manufacturing firms in Egypt. Consequently, the study utilizes 312 cases to draw its conclusions.
Findings
With regard to analysis, the researcher used path analysis through AMOS and established a positive effect of TL on GI and EP but a negative on GWE. GHRM has been confirmed to predict GWE, GI and EP positively. Furthermore, GWE positively influences GI and EP among the employees of manufacturing firms in Egypt. The indirect paths establish a significant contribution of GWE in developing the links between TL and EP, GHRM, GI and EP. On the other hand, it negatively affects the link between TL and GI.
Practical implications
The study assists employers in setting green goals for their employees by offering the required knowledge, skills and training for green environmental management. The study also benefits employees’ workplace green behaviors in performance appraisals and promotions.
Originality/value
The study’s originality assists in overcoming the remaining gaps in the literature by enriching the penetration of the literature from a developing context.

Purpose
This study aims to examine the impact of green marketing adoption on non-profitable organizations’ performance in Jordan.
Design/methodology/approach
A structured questionnaire was developed to collect the needed data and test the developed hypotheses to investigate the impact of green marketing adoption on non-profitable organizations’ performance. The data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire distributed to 183 respondents in non-profitable organizations operating in Jordan.
Findings
The findings indicate that the extent of green marketing adoption by profitable organizations in Jordan is relatively moderate. They also confirm that the corporate performance of non-profitable organizations is positively associated with the extent of adoption of green marketing dimensions, particularly environmental and social responsibility aspects.
Originality/value
Reviewing the existing literature revealed that similar studies had not previously been undertaken in Jordan as a developing country.

Abstract
Purpose
This study used attribution and social exchange theories as bases to test a model comprising the most significant variables, namely, perception, attitudes and positive behaviour. The current research concentrated on the effects of three variables (i.e. organisational justice, support and identity) on task performance and organizational citizenship behaviour via job satisfaction, organisational commitment and work engagement. Additionally, this study aims to determine the external locus of control’s moderator role.
Design/methodology/approach
A questionnaire-based quantitative design was used as basis in collecting data from 1,125 industrial sector (i.e. electricity and oil industry) employees in southern Iraq.
Findings
Analysis of data reinforced the majority of the relationships in the research model. Results showed the mediator variables’ significance in providing explanation to the majority of the relationships and the external locus of control’s role in moderating such relationships. Research outcomes were used as bases in discussing several theoretical and practical implications, as well as presenting a few recommendations for studies in the future.
Originality/value
This research centres on determining the antecedents of positive behaviours via six circumstantial variables and one personal variable in a single model. Moreover, this study is applied in a developing country’s industrial sector with a moderately large sample size to yield evident and significant outcomes. Consequently, practitioners and academics are provided with a reference on managing and changing workplace behaviour.

Abstract
Departing from Turkish national debates around Islam, national belonging, and homosexuality during 2008–2011, this paper shows how “LGBT rights” discourses ultimately worked to position Muslim headscarf activists as against LGBT activists by rendering complex positions that do not follow easy “for vs. against” LGBT rights political formulas as “homophobic.” In return, this foreclosed potential solidarities differently injured citizens could have formed against increasing neoliberal state violence. I show that the multitude of Muslim women’s positions on the issue of LGBT rights complicates easy religious/secular binaries and illuminates how it is not only human rights discourses but also their “Western” critiques that travel transnationally. This story also contributes to current debates on postsecularism by illustrating how the same national context can house both liberal rights frameworks that can be used against pious Muslim subjects, and a monopolization of a definition of Islam for state power. Finally, I offer “politics of cruelty” and “right to sin” as alternative frameworks for imagining social justice outside of liberal rights-based politics.

Abstract
Purpose
The aim of this paper has twofold: (1) to explain and compare the financial evolution of Islamic and conventional banking sector in the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) countries before and during the COVID-19 pandemic and (2) to explore the key success factors that might affect Islamic and conventional banks performance before and mainly during COVID-19 pandemic period.
Design/methodology/approach
Orbis Bank Focus database and annual financial reports are used to collect financial information of Islamic and conventional banks in GCC countries over four years: 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Descriptive statistics, T-test, multiple regression, and 2SLS and GMM models are employed to analyze the financial structure and performance of Islamic and conventional banks before and during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
Findings
Results of this study reveal that (1) there is a significant difference between Islamic banks and conventional banks during the crisis of COVID-19, where the conventional banks have presented a higher level of financial performance and financial liquidity than their Islamic counterparts, (2) conventional banks have revealed higher capacity to manage their financial risk during the crisis period, and (3) a high level of non-performing loan, high inflation rate and high percentage of non-important cost have a negative impact on the financial performance of Islamic banks mainly during the pandemic period of COVID-19. However, the result indicates that a high level of liquidity risk increased the performance of Islamic banks but this impact falls sharply during the pandemic period.
Originality/value
This study provides information that supports investors, regulators and executive managers in GCC countries. A well-structured balance sheet would improve the financial performance and risk management of the banking sector in GCC countries, especially in times of crisis and pandemics.
