Abstract
The author propounds that management carries a responsibility – to employees and suppliers as well as customers. Respect is seen as the key relationship variable. In this it is argued such managerial techniques as Management by Objectives (MBO) and internal competition are counterproductive.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to examine strengths and limitations of current experiential approaches for enhancing international business education, and propose a new, particularly cost‐effective approach grounded in the travel and tourism industry and specific context of international cruises.
Design/methodology/approach
This study combines an analysis of current literature with an examination of actual case experience.
Findings
A particularly successful short‐term experiential learning approach was used at a private university in southern California that is focused on the specific international business context of the international cruise industry within travel and tourism. The authors believe that this approach has significant merit to be included as a viable option for helping students develop important international business competencies required to compete in an increasingly global marketplace. With its specific focus on the international cruise industry and experiential travel agency operational design, this approach provides not only the opportunity to learn about general culture and business environments in the areas of travel, but also allows the practical application of many international and domestic business concepts and skills within a specific global industry context.
Research limitations/implications
The present study is limited to a very few experiences and within the international cruise industry. Future applied research in international business education should provide more rigorous analyses for verifying intended student learning outcomes, as well as examine applications within other contexts within the growing field of international travel and tourism.
Practical implications
The approach described here provides practical information for developing similar experiential coursework for enhancing international business education, and is particularly useful for smaller educational institutions that may lack the ability to offer and participate fully in more extensive options such as study abroad and international internships.
Originality/value
The approach described in the paper provides a highly relevant context for international business experiential education that is economical for students and schools alike.

Abstract
The proliferation of social networking sites (SNSs) has drawn attention to different parties in realising their goals. Advertisers utilise SNSs to promote new products and services; politics optimise SNSs to gather support from the public, while ordinary users use SNSs as a unique platform to practice self-disclosure, develop networks, and sustain relationships. This study explores how social anxiety affects self-disclosure on SNSs and well-being. It also examines the moderating effects of two contextual factors, namely, online disinhibition and psychological stress. Two hundred and thirty-four valid responses were collected via an online survey. A positive relationship between social anxiety and self-disclosure, and self-disclosure and well-being was found. Furthermore, a positive moderation effect among social anxiety, online disinhibition, and self-disclosure was revealed. This research contributes to the development of social networking literature. It also enhances the understanding of disclosure patterns on SNSs among socially anxious individuals, thereby providing important insights for practitioners, educators, and clinicians.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to understand various antecedents of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Transformational leadership and psychological empowerment were two independent variables chosen for the study.
Design/methodology/approach
Standard questionnaires were used to collect data. The sample of 319 employees of different five-star hotels formed the source of data. Frontline employees having two to three subordinates and were from hotels which were in operation at least since last two years, took part in the study.
Findings
The effect of transformational leadership on OCB has been found to be significant and positive. The moderating effect of psychological empowerment on OCB was also found significant.
Research limitations/implications
The theoretical development from this paper will contribute toward understanding the antecedents of OCB. The moderating effect of psychological empowerment will reinforce the importance of psychological empowerment.
Practical implications
It can develop practices to enhance the feeling of psychological empowerment through several training program. Leaders at the top positions shall emphasize on OCB by bringing cultural change.
Originality/value
This paper probes the OCB's antecedents. It also studied the moderating effect of psychological empowerment on the relationship of transformational leadership and OCB.

Abstract
We studied two eco-entrepreneurial companies to determine whether they had an internal focus on environmental protection. To answer this question, we surveyed employees to understand their predisposition toward the natural environment as well as their willingness to propose eco-initiatives aimed at improving the company's environmental performance and/or reducing its environmental impacts. We report our findings for these two case studies, and using our small sample of employee data, develop a conceptual model for the eco-entrepreneurial context. We suggest future research.
