Abstract
In order to ensure the high-quality completion of the construction of stadiums and gymnasiums and the smooth holding of the Fourteenth National Games, through on-the-spot investigation and collation of relevant literature at home and abroad, lessons are drawn from the experience of the planning and construction of the stadiums and gymnasiums of the recent three National Games. According to the investigation of the stadiums and gymnasiums in Shaanxi Province, the number, characteristics, overall layout and construction methods of the required stadiums are specifically analyzed. Taking Xi'an Sports Center as an example, from the point of view of the construction requirements of the main stadium of the National Games and the sports construction technology, the functional orientation and construction standards of the competition facilities and training base facilities are put forward. Especially for the planning and design of sports construction facilities including “one stadium, two gymnasiums”, Tennis Center and outdoor sports stadium, the specific index analysis is made. The index analysis provides suggestions for the compilation of the planning and design task sheet of Xi'an Sports Center, and provides reference for the planning and construction of other stadiums and gymnasiums for the Fourteenth National Games.

Abstract
Purpose
Promoting electric vehicles (EVs) is an effective way to achieve carbon neutrality. If EVs are widely adopted, this will undoubtedly be good for the environment. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of network externalities and subsidy on the strategies of manufacturer under a carbon neutrality constraint.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, the authors propose a game-theoretic framework in an EVs supply chain consisting of a government, a manufacturer and a group of consumers. The authors examine two subsidy options and explain the choice of optimal strategies for government and manufacturer.
Findings
First, the authors find that the both network externalities of charging stations and government subsidy can promote the EV market. Second, under a relaxed carbon neutrality constraint, even if the government’s purchase subsidy investment is larger than the carbon emission reduction technology subsidy investment, the purchase subsidy policy is still optimal. Third, under a strict carbon neutrality constraint, when the cost coefficient of carbon emission reduction and the effectiveness of carbon emission reduction technology are larger, social welfare will instead decrease with the increase of the effectiveness of emission reduction technology and then, the manufacturer’s investment in carbon emission reduction technology is lower. In the extended model, the authors find the effectiveness of carbon emission reduction technology can also promote the EV market and social welfare (or consumer surplus) is the same whatever the subsidy strategy.
Practical implications
The network externalities of charging stations and the subsidy effect of the government have a superimposition effect on the promotion of EVs. When the network effect of charging stations is relatively strong, government can withdraw from the subsidized market. When the network effect of charging stations is relatively weak, government can intervene appropriately.
Originality/value
Comparing previous studies, this study reveals the impact of government intervention, network effects and carbon neutrality constraints on the EV supply chain. From a sustainability perspective, these insights are compelling for both EV manufacturers and policymakers.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to propose an efficient space-time operator-splitting method for the high-dimensional vector-valued Allen–Cahn (AC) equations. The key of the space-time operator-splitting is to devide the complex partial differential equations into simple heat equations and nolinear ordinary differential equations.
Design/methodology/approach
Each component of high-dimensional heat equations is split into a series of one-dimensional heat equations in different spatial directions. The nonlinear ordinary differential equations are solved by a stabilized semi-implicit scheme to preserve the upper bound of the solution. The algorithm greatly reduces the computational complexity and storage requirement.
Findings
The theoretical analyses of stability in terms of upper bound preservation and mass conservation are shown. The numerical results of phase separation, evolution of the total free energy and total mass conservation show the effectiveness and accuracy of the space-time operator-splitting method.
Practical implications
Extensive 2D/3D numerical tests demonstrated the efficacy and accuracy of the proposed method.
Originality/value
The space-time operator-splitting method reduces the complexity of the problem and reduces the storage space by turning the high-dimensional problem into a series of 1D problems. We give the theoretical analyses of upper bound preservation and mass conservation for the proposed method.

Abstract
Purpose
One of the development trends of robots is to enable robots to have the ability of anthropomorphic manipulation. Grasping is the first step of manipulation. For mobile manipulator robots, grasping a target during the movement process is extremely challenging, which requires the robots to make rapid motion planning for arms under uncertain dynamic disturbances. However, there are many situations require robots to grasp a target quickly while they move, such as emergency rescue. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for target dynamic grasping during the movement of a robot.
Design/methodology/approach
An off-line learning from demonstrations method is applied to learn a basic reach model for arm and a motion model for fingers. An on-line dynamic adjustment method of arm speed for active and passive grasping mode is designed.
Findings
The experimental results of the robot movement on flat, slope and speed bumps ground show that the proposed method can effectively solve the problem of fast planning under uncertain disturbances caused by robot movement. The method performs well in the task of target dynamic grasping during the robot movement.
Originality/value
The main contribution of this paper is to propose a method to solve the problem of rapid motion planning of the robot arm under uncertain disturbances while the robot is grasping a target in the process of robot movement. The proposed method significantly improves the grasping efficiency of the robot in emergency situations. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively solve the problem.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to improve the lubrication performance of molybdenum disulfide powders at textured surface of cemented carbide materials, a squeeze motion of vibration assistance method was introduced and investigated.
Design/methodology/approach
Surface texture was fabricated on YT15 cemented carbide samples using a laser marking machine. After that, a tribological experiment was carried out on a self-built friction testing machine under different amplitude and frequency of squeeze motion conditions. Moreover, a simulation model was also established to verify the principle of squeeze motion on the lubrication performance improving of MoS2 particles at textured interfaces.
Findings
Analysis results indicated that surface texture on test sample can increase the storage ability of solid lubrication particles, and the lubrication film at the contact interface is more easily formed due to the reciprocating action. Squeeze motion can improve the storage ability of it due to an intermittent contact, which provides an opportunity for MoS2 particles infiltration, and then a more uniform distribution and load-bearing properties of force chain are also established and formed simultaneously. Thus, a better tribological performance at the contact interface is obtained.
Originality/value
The main contribution of this work is to provide a reference for the molybdenum disulfide powder lubrication with textured surface of cemented carbide materials.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the influence and impact mechanism of capital tax incentives on firm innovation.
Design/methodology/approach
This study employs the difference-in-differences (DID) method, in conjunction with the exogenous impact of accelerated depreciation (AD) pilot policy. This study selects Chinese listed companies from 2010 to 2017 as the research sample.
Findings
Firstly, AD exerts a substantial positive effect on the quantity and quality of the innovation output of firms, and the positive impact results primarily from heightened investment in fixed assets, particularly, machinery and equipment. Secondly, the influence of the policy is pronounced in non-state-owned enterprises, mature enterprises, less capital-intensive enterprises and non-high-tech industries, which all exhibit strong innovation incentives. Lastly, the tax incentive policy significantly stimulates firm innovation in the short term, but its long-term impact on innovation incentives lacks statistical significance.
Originality/value
This study highlights the significance of capital tax incentives in facilitating the innovation process in firms.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to present a highly efficient operator-splitting finite element method for the nonlinear two-dimensional/three-dimensional (2D/3D) Allen–Cahn (AC) equation which describes the anti-phase domain coarsening in a binary alloy. This method is presented to overcome the higher storage requirements, computational complexity and the nonlinear term in numerical computation for the 2D/3D AC equation.
Design/methodology/approach
In each time interval, the authors first split the original equation into a heat equation and a nonlinear equation. Then, they split the high-dimensional heat equation into a series of one-dimensional (1D) heat equations. By solving each 1D subproblem, the authors obtain a numerical solution for heat equation and take it as an initial for the nonlinear equation, which is solved analytically.
Findings
The authors show that the proposed method is unconditionally stable. Finally, various numerical experiments are presented to confirm the high accuracy and efficiency of this method.
Originality/value
A new operator-splitting method is presented for solving the 2D/3D parabolic equation. The 2D/3D parabolic equation is split into a sequence of 1D parabolic equations. In comparison with standard finite element method, the present method can save much central processing unit time. Stability analysis and error estimates are derived and numerical results are presented to support the theoretical analysis.

Abstract
Purpose
The relationship between debt and happiness is an emerging research topic with significant implications for both theory and practice in economics and business. In China, where the consumer credit market is at an early stage of development, the topic remains under-investigated and the evidence on the debt–well-being link is scarce. The purpose of this study is to examine the association between debt holding and happiness and the moderating role of income in it.
Design/methodology/approach
Data used in the study were from three waves (2013, 2015 and 2017) of the China Household Finance Survey. Fixed-effect regressions on panel data were used for data analyses.
Findings
The results show that any type of debt holding is negatively associated with happiness. Among seven specific types of debts, four types show negative associations with happiness, which in the order from higher to lower associations, are medical, education, other and housing debt. In addition, negative associations between debt holding and happiness vary among income groups. The results suggest that any debt holding potentially decreases happiness for low- and middle-income consumers only. In addition, holdings of three specific types of debts (medical, education and housing debt) may decrease happiness for both low- and middle-income consumers, and holding two types of debts (business and other debt) may decrease happiness for middle-income consumers only.
Research limitations/implications
Data used in this study originate from one country only. It limits the generalizability of findings to other countries with different institutional backgrounds and different socio-economic characteristics of populations. The results have implications for researchers who study consumer debt behavior and business practitioners who do businesses with Chinese companies and consumers.
Practical implications
China is an emerging economy that is at the early stage of credit market development. The results of this study provide helpful information and insights for business practitioners to explore credit markets and serve credit product clients with various income levels in China.
Social implications
The results of this study are informative for public policies. When introducing credit market-related policies, policymakers should pay attention to people's happiness and to differential welfare effects of holdings of different types of debts and among consumers with various levels of incomes.
Originality/value
Unique contributions of this study include using data from the most recently available waves of the China Household Finance Survey (2013, 2015 and 2017) to study the associations between debt holding and happiness. In addition, the findings of this study enrich the literature of debt and happiness by adding evidence from China, the largest emerging economy in the world, which is helpful for future theory building and business practice on the relationship between debt holding and happiness.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of market competitiveness on investment efficiency, and the moderating role of ownership and regulatory structures.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, the Herfindahl–Hirschman Index (HHI), Lerner Index (LI) and industry-adjusted Lerner Index (LIIA) were used to measure market competitiveness. The research population consisted of companies listed on Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). Using a systematic elimination, 199 companies were selected within eight years during 2014–2021.
Findings
The results showed that market competitiveness (based on the LI, LIIA and HHI) positively affected investment efficiency. Moreover, institutional ownership and managerial ownership affected the relationship between market competitiveness (based on all proxies of market competitiveness) and investment efficiency. Blockholders’ ownership also moderated the relationship between market competitiveness (based on LIIA and HHI) and investment efficiency. The hypothesis testing had robustness based on additional analyses.
Originality/value
In recent years, competitive environment and the ownership structure of companies have changed to a certain degree, paving the way for the private sector to enter many areas of activity especially in emerging Asian markets. Moreover, investment drivers and investment efficiency in developed markets may not be generalized to emerging Asian markets. Therefore, the present findings can show the significance of this research to fill the existing gap in the literature and provide insights into ownership and regulatory structures as a governance mechanism in market competitiveness and investment efficiency.
