Abstract
Suggests the need to take a fresh look at management by objectives (MBO). Reviews MBO theory and practise and proposes management by subjective (MBS) offering a way of achieving results using a teamwork approach. Concludes that a rational, friendly approach seems more likely to succeed than a series of bureaucratic fixed targets.

This paper aims to explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health organisations in England.
Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to explore the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health organisations in England.
Design/methodology/approach
A qualitative mixed-methods approach was applied, including a review of the academic literature, a review of the non-academic literature and a brief semi-structured survey. Respondents of the semi-structured survey included seven healthcare leaders from four different NHS Mental Health Trusts in England. This review applied thematic analysis to the data findings.
Findings
Mental health organisations in England have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The analysis of the identified resources found four overarching areas for learning: organisational structures, approaches to practice (working and delivering care), leadership and staff support. Organisational structures refer to structural, systemic and procedural changes that have taken place. Approaches to practice relate to shifts in organisational work and delivery of care. Leadership identifies styles used to manage change and disruption. Staff support refers to measures and interventions applied to meet changing staff needs and well-being.
Practical implications
Mental health organisations can reduce the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic through continuous improvements in future crisis planning, innovations in clinical practice and a sustained focus on staff well-being.
Originality/value
A multi-dimensional exploration into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health organisations was conducted. The review also provides insights into the experience of healthcare leadership in managing change during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
Purpose – This chapter explores mothering scripts among women of color and the intersection of race/ethnicity, social class, and family background in their narratives.Design/methodology/approach – Drawing from in-depth, semi-structured interviews of 24 African American and Latina mothers, this study analyzes the extent to which their narratives reflect more “intensive” or “extensive” mothering scripts.Findings – African American mothers typically drew from “extensive mothering” narratives, whereas Latina mothers’ scripts were more varied.Research implications – The findings point to the importance of and complexities in an intersectionality perspective: Latinas’ mothering scripts generally varied more across social class categories than those of African American mothers. However, African American mothers’ discussions of stress were mediated by their social class background.Social implications – The chapter concludes with the implications of this research for scholarship on families, and for social policies surrounding caregiving and employment.Originality/value – While rich theoretical and empirical works explore women of color and their family lives, few to none ask mothers themselves to talk about their actual and ideal experiences of motherhood. This chapter fills this gap by exploring the mothering scripts of women of color from diverse class backgrounds

Abstract
Branding in the labor market is an important issue due to the growing importance of brand. This study aimed to analyze the term of trust in the employee- and employer-based brand equity for gray-, blue-, and white-collar workers using bibliometric analysis. The study design included the formulation of three research questions. Bibliometric data comprised 205 employee-based brand equity publications and 40 employer-based brand equity publications from the Scopus database. The analysis involved quantitative measures such as the number of publications and citations as well as the frequency of source types, authors, and countries. VOSviewer software mapped the co-occurrence of keywords in employee- and employer-based brand equity publications. These mappings revealed eight clusters related to employee-based brand equity publications and four clusters in terms of employer-based brand equity publications. The issue of trust has been analyzed in publications on employee-based brand equity; no such studies have been noted for employer-based brand equity. Employee- and employer-based brand equity has not been analyzed for various collar workers.

Abstract
In this chapter, I define primary prevention as stopping violence before it happens. First, I describe the differences between learning and training to set a context for this chapter. I then examine the evolution of sexual violence education programs on college campuses, dividing programs into five major categories. Finally, I conclude the chapter describing the research about people who engage in harmful behavior advocate for more prevention strategies focused directly on people who may or have caused harm.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to present a conceptual model for a PLE prototype, specifically incorporating learning styles for the UK construction industry.
Design/methodology/approach
The initial research methodology approach adopted for this paper embraced the distillation of core research material gathered from a detailed literature review. The literature review encompassed the needs and importance of developing a PLE prototype, and used as a context learning styles for the UK construction industry. A qualitative approach was used in this research, as this was considered more suitable for studying social and cultural phenomena. This paper explores the relationship between pedagogy and technology in the context of the design and implementation of a PLE. The implementation framework for the PLE adopted the principles of the “Collaborative System Design” approach as identified by the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative Guidelines.
Findings
This paper describes the development phases of the PLE prototype incorporating learning styles. This prototype incorporates a learning style inventory – known as the diagnostic questionnaire which was developed based on the amalgamation of three existing models of learning styles defined from a detailed synthesis of the literature – namely the Kolb's model of learning styles, Honey and Mumford's model of learning styles and the Felder and Solomon's model of learning styles.
Originality/value
This paper is a very useful source in developing a learning style inventory and a PLE prototype incorporating learning styles.
