Abstract
The initial impressions received by anyone surveying the structures for school library services in the United Kingdom may give rise to astonishment that there is such a diversity of provision within a comparatively small country. Resembling a patchwork, with some pieces taken from the same garment but others culled from a variety of sources, the organisations and services are by no means uniform. Again, like patches which recall memories of times gone by, the library structures derive from older organisations grafted onto newer ones. Even where it at first seems possible to compare like with like, there are often variations in staffing and services, due largely to developments (or lack of development) before the re‐organisation of local government in the mid‐1970s.

Abstract
Describes a research project based in Glasgow Caledonian University Library. Funded by the Enterprise in Higher Education, the project surveyed the library′s instruction programme in information‐seeking skills, with particular reference to the future information needs of undergraduate students and part‐time students. A group of part‐time management students and a third‐year undergraduate biology class were given questionnaires and participated in discussions about their information requirements for study and employment. The use of external information in 11 organizations was also surveyed, so that the future needs of students could be ascertained. The research has led to more flexibility in the Library′s information skills seminars and to a heightened awareness of the need to include information and research skills within academic courses.

Abstract
Basically I doubt whether the Wick Public Library, which I first knew as a child, and later as an assistant, has altered much externally, unless it has been extended in some way at the back. It was a handsome building, standing on a road junction; one wing containing the newsroom with museum above lay along Sinclair Terrace, the other at right angles to it lay down Cliff Road which led to Bridge Street. This wing had a large room on the ground floor originally designed as an amusements room, but as I remember it used as a stock room for the Caithness County Library when it was formed. Above it was a room planned as a ladies' magazine room, but used in the 1930s as a work room.

Abstract
This paper considers the assessment and enhancement of student feedback within a University Library context. It examines the assessment of the overall experience of the student of the university as a whole and the role that the library plays in that. Lessons can be learned from the article about the role of the information service in supporting the mission of the parent organisation.

Abstract
Since the first Volume of this Bibliography there has been an explosion of literature in all the main areas of business. The researcher and librarian have to be able to uncover specific articles devoted to certain topics. This Bibliography is designed to help. Volume III, in addition to the annotated list of articles as the two previous volumes, contains further features to help the reader. Each entry within has been indexed according to the Fifth Edition of the SCIMP/SCAMP Thesaurus and thus provides a full subject index to facilitate rapid information retrieval. Each article has its own unique number and this is used in both the subject and author index. The first Volume of the Bibliography covered seven journals published by MCB University Press. This Volume now indexes 25 journals, indicating the greater depth, coverage and expansion of the subject areas concerned.

Abstract
As civilisations become more advanced and complex from an economic perspective, the need to integrate and co‐ordinate human behaviour and institutions becomes more acute. The chief co‐ordinating devices are not government laws or regulations enacted to compel conformity and dependability in socio‐economic relationships, but the standards sometimes embodied in laws, more often outside the legal framework of government and properly so. Such standards, arrived at by voluntary consensus or common consent, are far too numerous, too complex, too widely and diversely applied to be amenable to codification into statute law or centralised systems of administration.

Case overview/synopsis
The case study discusses the brand strategy, which Walmart Inc needs to adopt post its acquisition of Flipkart Pvt. Ltd (Flipkart) Group in India. Flipkart had acquired Myntra Designs Pvt. Ltd (Myntra) and Novarris Fashion Trading Private Limited (Jabong), but had kept their brand identity intact; Walmart Inc was faced with the decision on moving ahead with the brand strategy of keeping individual brand identities or merging all of these into a single brand identity. The study aims to provide valuable insights into the decision-making process adopted by Walmart Inc. It includes also the role of cause-related marketing in the positioning of Myntra as a socially responsible brand. The case study opted for an exploratory research design study using the qualitative research method of in-depth interviews. In total, 10 experts in the area of marketing, market research and marketing communication were interviewed. The qualitative data were analyzed using a template approach, which analyzes the text using a codebook or an analysis guide. The analysis guide already has clearly defined themes or categories. As the qualitative interviews progress, these themes get revised. These themes are analyzed qualitatively rather than statistically. The case study suggests to the management of Walmart Inc that they need to merge Myntra and Jabong based on the degree of similarity of consumer demographics, income/social class of buyers, brand identity and buying behavior. Myntra needs to retain as opposed to Jabong, as Myntra is perceived to be a socially responsible brand that creates a purchase disposition in the minds of the consumers. A more extensive quantitative study would offer better generalizability. It was not feasible to conduct a quantitative study due to time constraints. This research would have used advanced brand imagery assessment techniques such as multi-dimensional scaling to suggest if an overlap exists between consumer segments of Myntra and Jabong. The case study provides a decision-making framework to firms and individuals who are part of organizational teams to create a post-acquisition brand strategy in the e-commerce market. The case study fulfills a need for many academicians and practitioners to understand the decision-making process followed in devising a post-acquisition brand strategy in India.
