Abstract
Manufacturing organisations are expected to produce their products with prompt delivery using better supply chain activities. Starting from the procurement of raw materials to the delivery of final products, there are inevitable losses occurring due to major time delays in supply chain activities. Hence it is essential to study, understand and track these major time delays by developing futuristic supply chain risk management strategies. This paper reports a research which was conducted to meet this requirement. During this research, major time delays were investigated by conducting a questionnaire supported interview based survey in 15 manufacturing organisations. On analysing the responses, pilot strategies for achieving loss reduction have been proposed. The paper is concluded by pointed out the necessity for developing dynamic models for achieving loss reduction and continuous improvement.

Abstract
In smart cities striving for innovation, development, and prosperity, hydrogen offers a promising path for decarbonization. However, its effective integration into the evolving energy landscape requires understanding regional intricacies and identifying areas for improvement. This chapter examines hydrogen transport from production to utilization, evaluating technologies’ pros, cons, and process equations and using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as a Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) tool to assess these technologies based on multiple criteria. It also explores barriers and opportunities in hydrogen transport within the 21st-century energy transition, providing insights for overcoming challenges. Evaluation criteria for hydrogen transport technologies were ranked by relative importance, with energy efficiency topping the list, followed by energy density, infrastructure requirements, cost, range, and flexibility. Safety, technological maturity, scalability, and compatibility with existing infrastructure received lower weights. Hydrogen transport technologies were categorized into three performance levels: low, medium, and high. Hydrogen tube trailers ranked lowest, while chemical hydrides, hydrail, liquid organic hydrogen carriers, hydrogen pipelines, and hydrogen blending exhibited moderate performance. Compressed hydrogen gas, liquid hydrogen, ammonia carriers, and hydrogen fueling stations demonstrated the highest performance. The proposed framework is crucial for next-gen smart cities, cutting emissions, boosting growth, and speeding up development with a strong hydrogen infrastructure. This makes the region a sustainable tech leader, improving air quality and well-being. Aligned with Gulf Region goals, it is key for smart cities. Policymakers, industries, and researchers can use these insights to overcome barriers and seize hydrogen transport tech opportunities.

Abstract
It is well known that trust is an essential, yet a fragile part of organizational life. Because trust sometimes has to be placed without guarantees, it will inevitably be broken, violated, and damaged when parties involved in trustworthy relationships let others down. When trust-destroying events occur, trust is shattered and its level plummets quickly into the domain of distrust. The speed with which trust can be destroyed depends on the magnitude of damage from the act of untrustworthiness and the perceived intentionality of the untrustworthiness. Moreover, if seen as intentional, the destruction of trust is particularly severe, as intentional untrustworthiness reveals malevolent intentions that are seen as highly predictive of future untrustworthiness. Often, leaders are the ones responsible for improper handling of, destroying, or violating trust in their organizations. In this chapter, we explore the consequences of leaders for violating trust and examine how trust changes over time as a function of different types of violations and attempts at restoration. We argue that because distrust may irrevocably harm organizations, leaders as moral agents need to consciously work to rebuild relationships, restore broken trust, and instill hope.

Abstract
Arsenic contamination in shallow groundwater aquifers in the lower Gangetic basin constitutes a major health hazard in the Bengal basin extended over Bangladesh and India. It has been estimated that at least 35 million people in Bangladesh and 6 million people in India are severely affected by arsenic-contaminated water. More so, about 57 and 9 million people in Bangladesh and West Bengal, respectively, are exposed to arsenic-contamination risk. The use of hazardous, arsenic-bearing groundwater for drinking, cooking, and irrigation in West Bengal and Bangladesh has led to what has been described by the WHO as the worst case of mass poisoning in human history. In case of West Bengal, the problem of arsenic contamination was discovered in the 1980s; since then several mitigation measures were adopted by the provincial and federal governments, community organizations, and NGOs. Yet, poor infrastructural arrangements, dire poverty, lack of awareness, and education increased the risk of arsenic exposure over the decades. In this chapter, an effort has been made to critically analyze the extent of mitigation measures adopted so far in the state of West Bengal. It discusses in detail the chronological responses of the provincial government in arsenic risk mitigation, implementation of adopted mitigation measures, and the consequent response and actions of arsenic-affected communities in West Bengal. The chapter also highlights the emerging challenges of arsenic risk mitigation in West Bengal and proposes a “system-based” framework for risk mitigation.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to study the peristaltic mechanism of Sutterby fluid in a symmetric channel with mass and heat transfer.
Design/methodology/approach
Mass and heat transfer are investigated in the assumption of Reynolds number and the long wavelength. The velocity, temperature and concentration terms for small values of Sutterby fluid parameter are achieved.
Findings
Graphical results have been introduced for various important parameters. The effects of emerging key parameters are also highlighted.
Originality/value
Sutterby fluid model is one that represents the high polymer aqueous solutions. It is now strongly believed that any diseased part of the body would be cured better when exposed to magnetic force when compared with a drug. Peristalsis with mass and heat transfer occurs in treatment to destroy the unwanted tissues, hemodialysis and oxygenation process, etc.

Purpose
This study aims to critically analyze existing research on blockchain technology adoption, examining the dominant models and methodologies used, the primary domains where blockchain is applied and the emerging opportunities across various sectors.
Design/methodology/approach
Using a methodical systematic review approach, the authors meticulously examined a pool of 1,322 collected articles, subjecting 38 studies to rigorous assessment. Through this comprehensive analysis, the authors unveiled the key models and influential factors that intricately shape the trajectory of blockchain adoption.
Findings
The primary models identified for investigating blockchain adoption were the technology acceptance model and technology–organization–environment. Apart from the core variables within these models, the pivotal determinants influencing various blockchain applications include perceived trust, perceived cost and social influence. In addition, this study highlights supply chain management as a prominent domain for blockchain application adoption.
Practical implications
Understanding these influential factors and models can guide practical decisions and aid stakeholders in formulating effective strategies for blockchain adoption in diverse sectors.
Originality/value
This study contributes to advancing the understanding of blockchain adoption dynamics by unveiling the prevalent models and determinants shaping adoption. This study offers valuable insights into the factors influencing the use and adoption of blockchain technologies across diverse sectors.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to assess TPM pillars for manufacturing performance improvement in the manufacturing organizations of Northern India and to identify critical and non-critical components based on failure history, to minimize machine downtime, maximize component/machine availability and to identify failure modes, their causes and effects of these failures on machines or components in the case company under study.
Design/methodology/approach
In this paper, TPM pillars in the paint manufacturing plant have been elaborated to ascertain the tangible and intangible benefits accrued as a result of successful TPM implementation. The approach has been directed toward justification of TPM implementation for its support to competitive manufacturing in the context of Indian manufacturing industries.
Findings
Findings suggest that maintenance planning is more effective than small improvements for achieving benefits from TPM pillars. Moreover, results indicated that critical components show average reliability and failure probability of about 50 percent.
Originality/value
The present study encompasses systematic identification of maintenance-related losses, setting up of targets regarding maintenance performance improvements and developing guidelines for achieving enhanced manufacturing system performance through strategic TPM implementation in the manufacturing plant, which can also be important to all concerned with maintenance in various manufacturing enterprises.

Purpose
The COVID-19 outbreak has worsened the issues of obesity and overweight in Indonesia. Technologies related to mHealth are becoming more popular for its capability to lessen obesity, if enabled by patient-focussed consultation. The paper assesses influential determinants of medium workout for obese and overweight adults post-COVID-19.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 1,171 participants who self-stated being overweight and called on a health professional in the previous year are chosen using cross-sectional survey. Participants stated their mHealth tracking behaviours, viewpoints regarding obesity, bodily activities and consultation post-COVID-19 epidemic. This study uses structural equation modelling to assess inter-variables relationships.
Findings
Patient–professional e-consultation is substantially related to mHealth tracking adoption and transformations in adults' obesity-associated viewpoints, forecasting adequate workout post-COVID-19. The results indicate the necessity of patient-focussed consultation meetings to incorporate communications about mHealth technology and available techniques of joining in bodily activities.
Originality/value
The research is the first effort to assess primary information from obese and overweight Indonesian adults post-COVID-19 epidemic (January–July 2022). The population can take advantage of pointed health interferences employing mHealth innovations. The results propose that health professionals must involve patients through mHealth technologies and attempt to enhance digital health knowledge to advance bodily activities nationally.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to identify and compare the factors which affect the consumers’ buying behavior of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food products in an emerging middle-size market. The paper also compares the preferences of the consumers for various food products and their respective market attributes.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 282 households of two middle-sized cities of India were personally surveyed with a structured questionnaire. Simple statistical analysis such as frequency distribution, factor analysis and analysis of variance, and logit regression were carried out to infer the required information.
Findings
The results indicate that consumers consume more of vegetarian product than that of non-vegetarian products. Most of the consumers were interested in seeing and verifying the products of both of the categories before buying. Age and income of the consumers play important role in influencing their buying behavior for vegetarian food products, but not that of non-vegetarian food products. It was found that credence attributes of products, and market attributes play a dominant role in influencing the consumers’ behavior for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food products. Packaged branded products were not popular in both the food categories.
Research limitations/implications
The localized nature of this study limits the scope of wider generalization. Future research could use larger samples spread across all regions having different food culture.
Practical implications
The findings of the study will be of help to food retailers who are interested to know whether the consumers’ buying process for these two categories of food products is more or less same or different in nature. This would help them to customize their product-specific marketing strategies as per the customers’ preferences and requirements.
Originality/value
The paper gives a comparative insight on consumers’ behavior toward both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. It provides specific reasons for having different or similar marketing strategies for two categories of food.
