Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to investigate the impact of digital inclusive finance on entrepreneurial activities in rural areas, as well as the underlying mechanisms and the variations of this impact across regions and household characteristics.
Design/methodology/approach
Utilizing the China Household Finance Survey Data, this paper applies the Two-Stage Least Squares with instrumental variables to assess the effect of digital inclusive finance on rural entrepreneurship.
Findings
The empirical findings indicate that digital inclusive finance significantly promotes entrepreneurial activities in rural areas by alleviating credit constraints, reducing financial information barriers, and altering risk attitudes for rural households. Additionally, this effect is more pronounced in the eastern region of China and for the “opportunity entrepreneurial activities.” Furthermore, the impact varies across rural households' income and consumption status, as well as the personal characteristics of household heads.
Originality/value
Firstly, this study broadens our understanding of the mechanisms through which digital inclusive finance influences entrepreneurial activities, thereby filling a gap in existing entrepreneurship research. Secondly, the study's findings affirm the inclusive nature of digital finance, contributing significantly to the literature on regional equality and illuminating potential pathways toward achieving “common prosperity.”

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact on employee voice from formal vs informal sources of procedural justice: group responsiveness and interactional justice, and to test how this impact may vary according to employees’ traditionality.
Design/methodology/approach
Dyadic data were collected from 261 employees and their supervisors. Results of the analyses offered support for the hypothesized moderated mediation model where group responsiveness and interactional justice would influence employee voice through enhanced organization-based self-esteem, and where such influence would be moderated by traditionality.
Findings
The findings showed that when there was a high level of group responsiveness, low traditionalists spoke up more, but when there was a high level of interactional justice, high traditionalists spoke up more.
Originality/value
By adopting the group engagement model, this study presented an alternative to the conventional perspective from uncertainty management theory about justice and voice, and tended to the neglect of fairness as an antecedent of voice by investigating how employees’ engagement in voice can be affected by their experience with different sources of procedural fairness information.

Abstract
Purpose
Continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites (CFRTPCs) with great mechanical properties and green recyclability have been widely used in aerospace, transportation, sports and leisure products, etc. However, the conventional molding technologies of CFRTPCs, with high cost and low efficiency, limit the property design and broad application of composite materials. The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of the 3D printing process on the integrated rapid manufacturing of CFRTPCs.
Design/methodology/approach
Tensile and flexural simulations and tests were performed on CFRTPCs. The effect of key process parameters on mechanical properties and molding qualities was evaluated individually and mutually to optimize the printing process. The micro morphologies of tensile and flexural breakages of the printed CFRTPCs were observed and analyzed to study the failure mechanism.
Findings
The results proved that the suitable process parameters for great printing qualities and mechanical properties included the glass hot bed with the microporous and solid glue coatings at 60°C and the nozzle temperature at 295°C. The best parameters of the nozzle temperature, layer thickness, feed rate and printing speed for the best elastic modulus and tensile strength were 285°C, 0.5 mm, 6.5r/min and 500 mm/min, respectively, whereas those for the smallest sectional porosity were 305°C, 0.6 mm, 5.5r/min and 550 mm/min, respectively.
Originality/value
This work promises a significant contribution to the improvement of the printing quality and mechanical properties of 3D printed CFRTPCs parts by the optimization of 3D printing processes.

Purpose
In order to investigate the vibration reduction properties of a three-dimensional elastic metastructure with spherical cavities at low frequencies.
Design/methodology/approach
The bandgap characteristics of a three-dimensional elastic metastructure with spherical cavities are studied based on analytical and numerical approaches.
Findings
The results of both method revealed that the vibration of the vertexes masses is important for opening bandgaps. The fact that the big sphere cavity radius or short side length of the cube unit leads to a wider bandgap, is noteworthy.
Originality/value
This research provides theoretical guidance for realizing the vibration attenuation application of EMs in practical engineering.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to attempt to explore how host governmental restriction and interfirm trust influence telecommunications operators (telcos) to choose international telecommunications alliance forms among equity alliances, relational alliances and recurrent alliances in three emerging markets: China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Design/methodology/approach
This study utilizes multiple discriminant analysis to analyze 111 international alliances established in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan during 1993-2004.
Findings
This study finds that host governmental restriction exerts greater influence on the choice of alliance form than interfirm trust. Telcos tend to develop non-equity alliances when governmental restriction is strong. In addition, they tend to develop equity and relational alliances when interfirm trust in high.
Research limitations/implications
Two limitations are: this study only explores the impacts of a number of factors (host governmental restriction and interfirm trust) on alliance form choice, and it only focuses on bilateral alliances in telecommunications services industry. This study suggests that future study should explore other strategic factors (e.g. firms' capability, competitors' strategy) and multi-lateral alliances.
Practical implications
This study provides three managerial suggestions. First, when international telcos establish alliances in emerging markets, they should primarily evaluate host governmental restrictions, and second assess interfirm trust. In addition, if local telcos intend to build relational and equity alliances to acquire international telcos' technology and marketing know-how, they should enhance interfirm trust with them. Lastly, when host governments attempt to attract foreign equity investment, they should remove restrictions on foreign ownership and provide support and friendly regulatory institutions.
Originality/value
Most literature about telecommunications service industry focuses on developed markets and uses descriptive or case analysis. To fill these research gaps, this study conducts an empirical research by analyzing the international alliances in three emerging markets: China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The findings not only provide suggestions to international telcos, local telcos and host governments in these markets but also can be applied to other emerging markets.

Purpose
Knowledge sharing in a master-apprentice pattern is the process of transferring tacit knowledge from masters to apprentices. In addition, 90 per cent of knowledge required for organizational innovation is tacit knowledge in the master-apprentice pattern. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the evolution of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern and explore the consequences of how to improve the knowledge sharing in the master-apprentice pattern.
Design/methodology/approach
This paper uses asymmetric evolutionary game theory to study the evolutionary track of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern of innovative organizations by analyzing the utility of masters and apprentices during the process of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern of the innovative organization.
Findings
The results reveal that when the masters obtained utility from sharing knowledge is greater than that from hoarding knowledge, and the apprentices obtained utility from studying hard is greater than the costs, the innovative organization can get the largest utility from the knowledge sharing in the mater-apprentice pattern.
Research limitations/implications
The limitation of the research is that this paper mainly studies knowledge sharing among individuals and does not research knowledge sharing between individuals and organizations.
Practical implications
This research has extended the understanding of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice and its evolution path. Also, the obtained findings are conducive to promoting knowledge sharing in master-apprentice and improving human resource management in innovative organizations.
Originality/value
This paper attempts to construct the evolution path of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern, which is a useful exploration of the dynamics of knowledge sharing in master-apprentice pattern and makes up for the shortcomings of the existing research.
