Abstract
Multidimensional fit (MDF) has been coined as “elusive” and relevant to an individual’s social identity and self-concept, unfolding over time as individuals assess their fit relative to Person-Organization, Person-Vocation, Person-Job, and Person-Team Fit. In this chapter, the literature as it relates to the refugee employment journey, MDF, and HRM practices that facilitate or inhibit MDF is reviewed. Furthermore, in this study, the process-oriented view of the refuge path highlights the complexity of their experience, noting an array of antecedents as they relate to country, host country and individual differences, interventions through NGOs, refugee resettlement agencies, and organizations, as well as the less explored entrepreneurial path. These diverse paths and the process of finding fit, and the obstacles refugees face, are viewed through the lens of shocks and reassessment of MDF throughout their journey. Finally, the study’s outcomes illustrate individual wellbeing factors, organizational level benefits, as well as community level benefits to MDF.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to synthesise carboxymethylcellulose and methyl methacrylate graft copolymers (CMC‐g‐PMMA), which is used as an effective additive, for reinforcing the rice‐hull‐cement composite.
Design/methodology/approach
Various CMC‐g‐PMMA copolymers were synthesised at different reaction temperatures, pH values of reaction solution and the dosages of monomer and initiator (potassium persulphate). The copolymers were characterised by Fourier transforms infrared (FT‐IR) spectra, thermal analysis (thermogravimetric and differential scanning calorimeter), X‐ray diffractometry (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy.
Findings
An optimal CMC‐g‐PMMA copolymer is obtained. For synthesis of the CMC‐g‐PMMA, the optimal reaction temperature is 80°C and pH value is 9. FT‐IR test of CMC‐g‐PMMA confirmed the existence of a chemical link between carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and methyl methacrylate (MMA). The content of initiator has little effect on the reaction for synthesising the graft copolymer. Thermal analysis indicates the occurrence of graft reaction in CMC and MMA. XRD test proved that the chains of the graft copolymer can enlarge the proportion of the amorphous regions of CMC. Adding MMA has damage effect on the crystallisation.
Research limitations/implications
Since the results of this paper are obtained from the laboratory experiments, further research should be conducted for evaluating the performances of this copolymer in practical application.
Practical implications
The mechanical test of the rice‐hull‐cement composite proved that CMC‐g‐PMMA is an effective additive for reinforcing the rice‐hull‐cement composite. The synthesis of CMC‐g‐PMMA provides a new alternative for modifying cellulose derivatives.
Originality/value
The CMC‐g‐PMMA obtained in this paper is a new kind of effective agent. It can reinforce the rice‐hull‐cement composite and expands the application of the composite in building industries.

Abstract
Some of the fundamental problems associated with the aerodynamic configuration of a single‐rotor remotely piloted helicopter are discussed in this paper. A method for selecting the aerodynamic shape of a fuselage and determining the locations and parameters of a horizontal stabilizer and a tail rotor in the preliminary design analysis is given. The application of this method to a remotely piloted single main rotor and tail rotor helicopter developed at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is described. A raindrop shaped fuselage is chosen for the remotely piloted helicopter and the low drag characteristics of the fuselage are demonstrated from the wind‐tunnel experimental data. The experimental results on the pitching moment characteristics of the horizontal stabilizer are also presented and analyzed. The design considerations of the horizontal stabilizer and tail rotor of the helicopter are discussed in detail.

Abstract
Purpose
This article outlines the development of the Refugee Job Search Process Framework (RJSPF), which was created to help identify barriers that refugees face when trying to find employment. The framework incorporates an interdisciplinary, multi-level approach to the job search, delving into research from migration studies and Industrial/Organizational psychology to outline factors that exist on both the side of the refugee applicant and the organization at each stage of the RJSPF. The authors also tested the RJSPF with Syrian refugees and service providers in Canada to examine the validity of each component of the model.
Design/methodology/approach
The authors used a semi-structured format to interview refugees and service providers on their experiences in either trying to find employment or helping their refugee clients with the job search process. After transcribing the interviews, the data were independently coded, quantified, and analysed using Nvivo software to validate the RJSPF.
Findings
The majority of the RJSPF either had high or moderate support from the interviews. The authors also identified 6 broader themes using thematic analysis, which include language fluency, credential recognition, Canadian experience “catch 22”, cultural incongruencies, employer exploitation, and mental health for successful employment.
Originality/value
The RJSPF is a new integration of disparate theories of job search experiences in a literature that lacks an organizing framework and perspective on the unique challenges refugees face in this area compared to other newcomers. In doing so, the authors use an interdisciplinary, multi-level approach that extends the nomological network of barriers facing refugees, therefore informing future research and practice.

Abstract
Purpose
The study aims to build a high-precision longitudinal dynamics model for heavy-haul trains and validate it with line test data, present an optimization method for multi-stage cyclic brakes based on the model and conduct a multi-objective detailed evaluation of the driver’s manipulation during cyclic braking.
Design/methodology/approach
The high-precision longitudinal train dynamics model was established and verified by the cyclic braking test data of the 20,000 t heavy-haul combination train on the long and steep downgrade. Then the genetic algorithm is employed for optimization subsequent to decoupling multiple cyclic braking procedures, with due consideration of driver operation rules. For evaluation, key manipulation assessments in the scenario are prioritized, supplemented by multi-objective evaluation requirements, and the computational model is employed for detailed evaluation analysis.
Findings
Based on the model, experimental data reveal that the probability of longitudinal force error being less than 64.6 kN is approximately 68%, 95% for less than 129.2 kN and 99.7% for less than 193.8 kN. Upon optimizing manipulations during the cyclic braking, the maximum reduction in coupler force spans from 21% ∼ 23.9%. And the evaluation scores imply that a proper elevation of the releasing speed favors safety. A high electric braking force, although beneficial to some extent for energy-saving, is detrimental to reducing coupler force.
Originality/value
The results will provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for further ensuring the safety and energy-efficient operation of heavy haul trains on long downhill sections and improving the operational quality of heavy-haul trains.

Abstract
We investigate the determinants and consequences of nonprofit lobbying activity by analyzing 501(c)(3) nonprofit lobbying choices as reported on the primary tax form, Form 990. Under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), nonprofits may lose their tax exempt status if they engage in a substantial amount of lobbying. We examine lobbying choices across three dimensions: (1) the test used to determine whether lobbying activities are substantial (i.e., making an H-election) (2) whether lobbying activities are directly related to the mission of the nonprofit (i.e., program related) (3) whether an affiliate nonprofit lobbies on behalf of a nonprofit. Results indicate lobbying choices are associated with the amount of lobbying reported and the amount of contributions received. Additionally, our results provide some evidence that nonprofit lobbying choices allowed under the IRC are underutilized.

Abstract
Purpose
Drawing on an accountability framework developed for social enterprise organizations (SEOs), this paper examines the annual report disclosure practices of SEOs in the United Kingdom in order to investigate the types of accountability disclosed by SEOs.
Design/methodology/approach
After developing a SEO database, and utilizing a bespoke document coding checklist, the annual reports of 129 SEOs were examined.
Findings
The results indicate that while SEOs would be expected to account in line with normative stakeholder theory, many do not provide constructive and voluntary accountability information to their stakeholders, at least through the annual report, and that their focus is on satisfying legal obligations.
Originality/value
In response to calls for research to better understand accountability in new organizational contexts, this paper makes two contributions: firstly, by extending prior accountability research in the NFP sector to consider organizational hybrids, it raises questions about organizational accountability and how it is discharged in situations where an organization operates as a business and yet is accountable for its social mission; secondly, assuming these organizations are driven by their business and social logics, the findings suggest that SEO accountability disclosure practices are inconsistent with the social objectives on which they are based.

This article argues that critical realism (CR) offers an ontological position suited to understanding the dynamic relations between multinational companies (MNCs) and the complex political spaces within which they operate. After outlining the core assumptions of CR, the key arguments are elaborated through two case studies which focus on issues of staffing and expatriation. The first case concerns recent developments in the Middle East, highlighting the shifting reality of nationality-based definitions of staffing the MNC, and the second examines the internationalisation of Chinese firms, exploring the way MNCs restructure space to retain access to home-country advantages.
