Introduction Atmospheric corrosion of metals is responsible for an appreciable percentage of total corrosion damage; it has almost come to be accepted as an unavoidable factor to be calculated into the price of new products. Unfortunately, out ore reserves are finite, and such unnecessary waste of resources is becoming increasingly intolerable.
