Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to develop a simple, easy to implement powder delivery strategy for solid freeform fabrication (SFF) processing.
Design/methodology/approach
A specially designed “tower nozzle” located at the center of the processing area dispenses the feedstock powders continuously and uniformly onto the processing area, where powders accumulate progressively as a flat powder bed. During the dispensing, powders are selectively consolidated by melting and solidification using a laser beam which was scanned in a predefined pattern using a galvo‐mirror scan head.
Findings
Experiments performed with AISI H13 steel show that the tower nozzle powder delivery strategy is suitable for SFF processing.
Practical implications
Both powder delivery and laser consolidation are performed simultaneously and without interruption with simple apparatus. No powder delivery scrapers or rollers are used.
Originality/value
The main characteristics of a prototype tower nozzle and the typical processing conditions used to form thin wall AISI H13 steel shapes are presented.

Abstract
The importance of mobile services in our everyday life is growing while at the same time new interoperability issues arise due to hardware and software heterogeneity. Therefore, new architectural paradigms and models are needed to enhance software engineering methodologies with regard to platform independence and interoperability. This paper describes an UML pattern based approach for developing reconfigurable autonomous mobile services. Through the analysis of an mcommerce project, the relevance of our proposed architecture will be explained. Our focus lays on a generic reconfiguration mechanism based on profile matching from software modules. This profiling part will be further described and discussed. Finally, the applicability of our approach is investigated within a project about reconfigurable indoor navigation computers and a project about robot assisted sensor networks.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of the paper is to investigate the legal status of business entities in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Azeri government intends to establish a suitable environment for local and foreign companies working in the country.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper presents a scientific investigation aimed at discovering and interpreting facts related to legal entities in the Azeri context. The goal of the research process is to produce new knowledge, through the exploratory research, which structures and identifies new problems, and the constructive research, which develops solutions to a problem.
Findings
The main finding is that constructing the legal entities within the legal frameworks and in compliance with the European standards play a substantial role in overall economic growth and in attracting foreign investments in the local economy as well as in implementing measures for continuing economic reforms, further improving business climate and developing the non‐oil sector in line with the oil sector.
Practical implications
As a result of this research paper some changes may be made in the local legislation in order to develop the company incorporation procedure in the Republic of Azerbaijan in the most effective way and to provide the integration of the local economy into the world economy.
Originality/value
The originality of this paper is that it describes for the first time the legal status of legal entities in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the company incorporation system. The paper addresses the international business community, particularly those involved in all aspects of commercial and corporative law.

Abstract
Purpose
During the first quarter of the twentieth century in Russia rapidly developed management thought, generated by many reasons, including socio-economic and political transformations, the results of scientific and practical activities of domestic and foreign experts in management. The purpose of this paper is, first, to acquaint readers with some of factors of the development of the history of Russian Management Thought in nineteenth century and at the beginning of twentieth century and, second, to present the most striking results of the formation of the History of Soviet Management Thought (SMT) in post-revolutionary Russia in the form of the movement of the so-called “The scientific organization of labor” (SOL), including “The scientific organization of managerial labor” (or SOML).
Design/methodology/approach
The review and causal analysis of the process of formation of the SMT and historiography of the SMT, a brief description of the institutions of SOL and SOMT and a comparative analysis of little-known works of some Russian authors on management topics of nineteenth century are chosen as research methods.
Findings
The paper emphasizes the action of objective historical inertia (or “non-Markoviness”) of the process of development of managerial thought, manifested, on the one hand, in the stable action of some management paradigms but, on the other hand, in identifying paradigmatic anomalies, in identifying the need for constant development of managerial thought, in the development of sought-after ideas and concepts of management, and even in the institutionalization of applied scientific research in the field of management throughout the country (in the form of SOL and SOML).
Originality/value
The paper attempts to attract the attention of researchers to the little-known Russian and Soviet authors and their little-known works in the field of management thought.
