Abstract
This chapter highlights the importance of combining multiple data sources to gain a complete understanding of the marketing environment. Marketing campaigns can be successful only by data-driven decision-making. We need to include multiple data sources so that it may furnish a complete and distinctive view of market dynamics. This chapter begins by probing into the changing landscape of marketing. It reveals that traditional tactics are being replaced by urban, technology-based strategies. It becomes progressively important for organizations to integrate different data sources along with harnessing the power of big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced analytics. It involves the smooth and flawless blending of different datasets to obtain important connections and patterns. Simple data collection and storage will not help. This chapter emphasizes the need for an all-embracing strategy. Since it has a transformative impact on marketing results, it solves the challenges caused by data storage systems. It also provides real-world examples of integrated solutions. It deliberates regulatory issues that must be considered when integrating different data sources. Any marketing data ecosystem needs integration of the internal and external data sources in search of a better understanding of the market. Such can help businesses find new opportunities and insights that, up until then, remain unknown. It may integrate different data types to get the most from marketing strategies in place. If there is integration of data, then decisions can be made with knowledge and purpose.

Abstract
Purpose
This paper aims to identify future scenarios and convergent technologies regarding the plantain chain in the region of Quindío, Colombia. It proposes the definition of key variables, convergent technologies, future objectives, future scenarios and hypotheses based on stakeholders’ and experts’ opinions collected through questionnaires, surveys and workshops.
Design/methodology/approach
The present analysis seeks to identify and anticipate the future routes for the improvement of scientific, technological, innovative and skills management of the plantain agroindustrial chain in the region of Quindío, Colombia using the foresight-by-scenarios and, Delphi methodologies and finally validating the results with artificial intelligence code and natural language processing.
Findings
After the analysis of 100 initial variables, the results suggested the identification of five key variables defined by the stakeholders and matrix-based multiplication applied to a classification (MICMAC) analysis such as “weather,” “financing and economy,” “grouping and associativity,” “crop” and “territorial planning and raw material.” Moreover, the definition of four future objectives along with the matrix of alliances and conflicts, tactics, objectives and recommendations (MACTOR) analysis suggested scenarios according to the probability. The most possible, probable and desirable scenario, was the cooccurrence of the five proposed hypotheses. Furthermore, the Delphi analysis allowed us to define nine subgroups from 116 subtopics including: “plantain varieties,” “plantain agroindustry,” “waste use” and “crop,” among others.
Research limitations/implications
Due to the specificity of the analyzed agro-chain, the study only encompasses the plantain and banana sectors. However, the implications are related to the generation of projects in the selected technologies.
Practical implications
This paper includes implications for the development of prospective studies combining two or more different methodologies such as foresight-by-scenarios and Delphi method at the same time and further comparing the results with artificial intelligence analysis.
Social implications
The generation of public policies in the sector and input for governmental analysis and tools for decision-making with a well-grounded, systematic and rational point of view.
Originality/value
This work describes for the first time, the implementation of the Delphi method regarding an important agroindustry sector such as plantain and banana prospective study. Furthermore, it explains the alignment of two methodologies; foresight-by-scenarios and the Delphi method related to the sectorial approaches, and convergent technologies and innovations, respectively. Moreover, a complementary bibliometric analysis with global terms related to the plantain or banana agroindustry was also included. In a novel way, we also applied an artificial intelligence code using Python software to contrast the results previously obtained in the foresight-by-scenarios method.

Abstract
Purpose
Work engagement has been shown to be one of the most significant positive employee outcomes in organisations and a critical factor in overall business success. The effect of leadership behaviour on employee work engagement has also been established as one of the most critical interactions in the literature. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the impact of a leader’s knowledge-hiding behaviour on employee work engagement. Moreover, this study examines how organisational citizenship behaviour moderates the relationship.
Design/methodology/approach
This study adopted a quantitative method with 289 front-line employees from Jordan’s banking sector, each of whom was asked to complete an online self-report questionnaire.
Findings
The findings of this study indicate that leaders’ knowledge-hiding negatively affects the three dimensions of employee work engagement (namely, physical, emotional and cognitive). Additionally, the findings provide evidence for the negative moderating effect of organisational citizenship behaviour on the direct relationship between leaders’ knowledge-hiding behaviour and three employee work engagement dimensions.
Originality/value
This study adds to the body of literature by proposing and empirically demonstrating the impact of leaders’ knowledge-hiding behaviours on all three dimensions of employee work engagement. Furthermore, this study adds to the knowledge-hiding phenomenon and work engagement literature by proposing the mitigation role of organisational citizenship behaviour on the negative relation between leaders’ knowledge-hiding behaviour and employees’ employee work engagement.
