Abstract
Purpose
Entrepreneurial passion has important implications for entrepreneurial success and psychological well-being. But their connections are complicated by the fact that three entrepreneurial passions (passion for inventing, passion for founding and passion for developing) can be combined differently according to their level and shape difference. A variable-centered approach cannot explain their relationship very well, by only focusing on the level difference and ignoring the different combination of entrepreneurial passion in subpopulations. The purpose of this study is to explore the function of entrepreneurial passion on entrepreneurial success and psychological well-being from a person-cantered approach.
Design/methodology/approach
In this study, the authors conducted latent profile analyses to identify different configurations of different entrepreneurial passions (passion for inventing, passion for founding, passion for developing) on two samples of Chinese students and entrepreneurs. Then in the sample of Chinese entrepreneurs, the authors utilized the DCON command in Mplus to provide comparisons among the profiles on entrepreneurial success and psychological well-being.
Findings
Based on identity theory, the authors found four entrepreneurial passion profiles across two samples—fully passionate, action-driven, interest-driven and dispassionate. Furthermore, the authors found that fully passionate entrepreneurs showed the highest level of entrepreneurial success, followed by action-driven, and then by interest-driven and dispassionate showed the lowest level. Action-driven entrepreneurs experienced the highest level of psychological well-being, followed by fully passionate entrepreneurs, then by interest-driven and dispassionate.
Originality/value
The results provide new insights into the nature and influence of entrepreneurial passion on entrepreneurial success and psychological well-being from a person-centered perspective.

Purpose
With the current developments within the sphere of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, many conventional articles are all being fitted with smart functionalities, ranging from chairs, beds, shoes and caps to underwear. Bags which are utility as well as fashion items have not been left out of this smart craze, albeit to a less popular degree. The purpose of this study is to fill the research gap on the subject of smart bags research and applications and to contribute to the general discourse on IoT.
Design/methodology/approach
This study adopts literature search and database review, concept mapping as well as synthesis methodologies. Relevant literature form databases such as Web of Science, Google Scholar and Bing Scholar were interrogated. Manual sifting was done to eliminate papers that do not fit the set inclusion criteria. Literature on smart bags was organized into structured frameworks using concept mapping methodology. Applying a synthesis methodology enabled an exploration of the different technological trends in smart bag research and their areas of application.
Findings
The study identified about 15 different smart bag applications and functionalities. Discussed in this study is a classification of bags based on a number of points such as way of carrying, size, utility and fabrication materials. Also discussed are the description of what constitute a smart bag, relevant technologies for smart bag design and engineering and subsequently the current trends in smart bag applications. This study also discovered that the air travel industry tend to have some difficulties with this smart bag technologies, specifically with their built-in batteries.
Practical implications
The results of this study will provide researchers and other stakeholders with key information about existing problems and opportunities in smart bag research and applications. This will go a long way to help in guiding future research as well as policymaking in smart bag design and application.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first review on the subject of smart bags even though smart bag research and commercial product design continue to gain momentum in recent years.

Abstract
Purpose
This research proposes that leader expectations for green creativity promote employee green creativity, as they guide leaders to provide green intellectual stimulation to employees. This relationship exists only when organizations provide sufficient green intellectual capital.
Design/methodology/approach
We obtained survey data from 241 employees and their leaders over three waves and conducted regression analyses.
Findings
Leader expectations for green creativity evoke leader green intellectual stimulation, which increases employee green creativity. Green intellectual capital strengthens the link between leader green intellectual stimulation and employee green creativity as well as the indirect linkage between leader expectations for green creativity and employee green creativity through leader green intellectual stimulation.
Practical implications
This research provides valuable insights into key strategies that organizations and leaders can use to promote employee green creativity, such as expressing expectations, facilitating intellectual stimulation, and providing intellectual capital.
Originality/value
This research advances the literature on leadership and employee green creativity by integrating Pygmalion theory and green intellectual capital theory.

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of rotational speed on the oil film stability of the hydrostatic rotary table having double rectangular oil pads. The oil film stability is evaluated based on the oil film stiffness under constant load condition and the displacement response amplitude of the oil film under disturbance load condition.
Design/methodology/approach
The oil film stability theoretical equations of the double rectangular oil cavity are deduced such as oil film stiffness, damping and dynamic equations. A simulation model is developed to analyze the relationship among oil film temperature, oil film pressure fields and oil film stability. The user-defined function programs are used to control the rotational speed, lubricant viscosity and oil film thickness during the simulation. In addition, an experimental rig is built to test the simulation results.
Findings
This study shows that oil film stability decreases with increasing rotational speed under constant load and disturbance load. The trend of oil film stability decreased slowly within 30 r/min, and then rapidly. However, since the hydrodynamic pressure effect, the decrease rate of stability is mitigated under constant load and high rotational speeds.
Originality/value
The conclusions can provide a theoretical basis for improving the oil film stability of machines with similar hydrostatic support structure.

Purpose
This paper aims to focus on the research progress of intelligent self-healing anti-corrosion coatings in the aviation field in the past few years. The paper provides certain literature review supports and development direction suggestions for future research on intelligent self-healing coatings in aviation.
Design/methodology/approach
This mini-review uses a systematic literature review process to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date review of intelligent self-healing anti-corrosion coatings that have been researched and applied in the field of aviation in recent years. In total, 64 articles published in journals in this field in the last few years were analysed in this paper.
Findings
The authors conclude that the incorporation of multiple external stimulus-response mechanisms makes the coatings smarter in addition to their original self-healing corrosion protection function. In the future, further research is still needed in the research and development of new coating materials, the synergistic release of multiple self-healing mechanisms, coating preparation technology and corrosion monitoring technology.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is one of the few systematic literature reviews on intelligent self-healing anti-corrosion coatings in aviation. The authors provide a comprehensive overview of the topical issues of such coatings and present their views and opinions by discussing the opportunities and challenges that self-healing coatings will face in future development.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to examine the association between mobile payment usage and financial anxiety and explore the mediating role of financial behavior. Moreover, this research also compares the moderating effects of financial education and financial knowledge.
Design/methodology/approach
A sample of 18,584 consumers from the 2021 National Financial Capability Study in the USA was analyzed. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed to explore indirect associations between mobile payment usage and financial anxiety. Two undesirable financial behaviors, overspending and overindebtedness, were used as mediators between mobile payment and financial anxiety. Moreover, multi-group analyses were conducted for two financial knowledge groups and two financial education groups to examine the heterogeneity. A robustness test is employed to ensure the reliability of the results.
Findings
The SEM results showed that the positive association between mobile payment and financial anxiety was mediated by overspending and overindebtedness in a parallel multiple mediation relationship. In addition, financial knowledge moderated the relationships between financial behaviors (overspending or overborrowing) and financial anxiety, while financial education moderated the associations between mobile payment use and overspending and between overspending and financial anxiety.
Research limitations/implications
This study is limited by its use of cross-sectional data, which restricts conclusions on causality and temporal dynamics. Additionally, the study does not account for the potential bidirectional relationship between financial anxiety and mobile payment usage, which warrants further exploration. The mediating variables examination focus mainly on overspending and overindebtedness, suggesting the need to explore other factors like budgeting and saving. Finally, the study’s findings may not generalize to other populations, highlighting the need for research in diverse cultural contexts.
Practical implications
Consumers should be cautious of increased financial anxiety linked to overspending and debt. Platforms can help by enabling spending limits, sending alerts and providing detailed expenditure analysis. Stricter controls on loans and government regulations may also be needed to curb overindebtedness. Additionally, financial knowledge does not mitigate these risks, so even knowledgeable users should be cautious. Financial education programs should address debt management alongside overspending to provide a more comprehensive understanding of financial well-being.
Originality/value
This study explored the association between mobile payment use and financial anxiety and how undesirable financial behaviors like overspending and overindebtedness mediate this process. Furthermore, multi-group analyses were employed in financial education subsamples and financial knowledge subsamples. Based on the findings, implications were discussed for individual users, government regulation and education programs of mobile payment.

This paper aims to develop a flexible manufacturing method for multimaterial sand molds to realize efficient additive manufacturing of multimaterial sand molds.
Design/methodology/approach
To study the influence of multimaterial sand laying process parameters on the quality of powder bed and optimize the design of multimaterial sand laying device. Numerical simulation and X-ray Computed Tomography are used to study the penetration behavior and curing morphology of resin in different sand particles.
Findings
The surface roughness and porosity of the multimaterial powder bed that meet the requirements of sand-based additive manufacturing can be obtained under the optimal printing process, that is, the sanding speed of 140.0 mm/s and sanding roller diameter of 15.0 mm. The resin penetration process of the multimaterial sand molds shows a pattern of transverse expansion and longitudinal penetration. In terms of the resin curing morphology, the maximum thickness of the resin film layer of zircon sand reaches 30.5 ± 1.0 µm, which has the best tensile property, followed by silica sand and the thinnest resin film layer of chromite sand.
Originality/value
In this work, a highly flexible integrated combined sand-laying device suitable for multimaterial sand-laying tests is developed, which can obtain a multimaterial powder bed that meets the needs of sand additive manufacturing. Subsequent casting print tests also verify that the program can meet the needs of multimaterial sand mold additive manufacturing.

Purpose
Due to the frequent occurrence of data breaches, managing the cost of these events has become one of the biggest challenges confronting modern businesses. Firms urgently require strong security and effective event response strategies to tackle data breaches.
Design/methodology/approach
This study first quantified the cost of 196 data breach events between 2016 and 2019 using the event study method and then utilized the crisp-set qualitative comparative analysis (csQCA) method to investigate the influencing mechanisms of the data breach cost from the configured perspectives of firm, event and response strategy.
Findings
The results of the event study revealed significant differences in the cost of data breaches and their influencing factors between traditional and Internet-based firms. While Internet-based firms tended to experience a negative market reaction following a data breach, traditional firms did not show the same pattern. Based on the configuration analysis, six different strategies for cost control were identified, including mitigation and apology strategies for internet-based firms and indifference, fact-statement, silence-keeping and reputation-building strategies for traditional firms.
Originality/value
The findings of this study can provide deeper insights into the market reaction to data breach events as well as their influencing mechanisms. Furthermore, this study offers practical suggestions for corporations to manage and control the strikes of data breach incidents.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the world. Despite the numerous advantages of AI in terms of faster processing and higher efficiency, AI hasn’t been widely accepted by humans yet. This study aims to shed light on this phenomenon by exploring the Dunning–Kruger Effect in AI knowledge and examining how AI knowledge affects AI acceptance through AI-related self-efficacy.
Design/methodology/approach
By collecting data from 179 managers, we examined the Dunning–Kruger Effect in AI knowledge and used mediation analysis to explore the mechanisms by which AI knowledge leads to AI acceptance.
Findings
Our findings indicated the presence of the Dunning–Kruger Effect in AI knowledge. Furthermore, our results revealed that AI knowledge has a nonlinear effect on AI acceptance through AI-related self-efficacy.
Originality/value
In contrast to previous research that posited a linear link between knowledge and acceptance of technology, this study offers a new framework for the nonlinear relationships between AI knowledge, AI-related self-efficacy and AI acceptance by extending the Dunning–Kruger effect to the AI field.

Purpose
Collaborative effort plays an important role in urban disaster risk reduction. The paper aims to explore how Shenzhen, China, has applied the Triple Helix strategy, integrating the efforts of government, industry and academia, to promote disaster risk reduction digitalization.
Design/methodology/approach
In-depth interviews were conducted with a purposive sample of 18 key informants (5–7 interviews per stakeholder group), specifically focusing on developing the Smart Emergency Management System. One of the co-authors conducted participatory observation in Shenzhen to gain valuable insights into the origins of the disaster risk reduction digitalization efforts in Shenzhen.
Findings
The disaster risk reduction digitalization in Shenzhen was initiated based on the Triple Helix model. Specifically, collaborative efforts among policy-driven government, profit-driven industry and research interest-driven academia were taken to establish a digital system. As the project was implemented, citizens became increasingly involved through a new platform established by the government. The participation of citizens feeds back into the development of the disaster risk reduction system. The most important functions of digital projects are data sharing and sector connecting.
Research limitations/implications
In a country like China with a large land area, discussions at the local level involve different geographical environments, population characteristics and even local cultures. Therefore, researchers are encouraged to discuss more cases in different cultural backgrounds further.
Originality/value
This paper fulfills a case to establish disaster risk reduction digitalization based on the Triple Helix strategy, serving as a practical example for other cities aiming to improve their digital management capacities, not limited to disaster, but other developments.
