Abstract
Purpose
Industries have been the most significant contributor to carbon emissions since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. The transition to Industry 5.0 (I5.0) marks a pivotal moment in the industrial revolution, which aims to reconcile productivity with environmental responsibility. As concerns about the decline of environmental quality increase and the demand for sustainable industrial methods intensifies, experts recognize the shift toward the I5.0 transition as a crucial turning point.
Design/methodology/approach
This review study explores the convergence of green technological advancements with the evolving landscape of I5.0, thereby presenting a roadmap toward carbon neutrality. Through an extensive analysis of literature spanning from 2012 to 2024, sourced from the Scopus database, the research study unravels the transformative potential of green technological innovations, artificial intelligence, green supply chain management and the metaverse.
Findings
The findings underscore the urgent imperative of integrating green technologies into the fabric of I5.0, highlighting the opportunities and challenges inherent in this endeavor. Furthermore, the study provides insights tailored for policymakers, regulators, researchers and environmental stakeholders, fostering informed decision-making toward a carbon-neutral future.
Originality/value
This review serves as a call to action, urging collective efforts to harness innovation for the betterment of industry and the environment.

Abstract
Purpose
The rise of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has enabled researchers and industry professionals to reinvent their strategies for basic economic understanding. Two years after the outbreak of the pandemic, businesses are now trying to adapt to the impact it has brought, hoping to receive support as it did in the past. However, before this feat can be accomplished, it is imperative to understand the recovery hurdles created by the pandemic. This research aims to fill the literature gaps by examining the challenges during recovery within the creative small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) industry, as there are few relevant studies that focus on this field.
Design/methodology/approach
Through a methodical bibliometric literature review and network analysis, the paper intends to critically explore relevant recovery challenges within the field while providing answers to the appropriate research questions. A total of 43 articles were selected for an in-depth review. Using the analysis from the selected articles as a guide, a framework was developed to address the recovery challenges alongside the recommended propositions.
Findings
The findings from this paper suggest that a lack of synergy among four major categories (governmental, supply chain, organizational and stakeholders) contributes to recovery challenges within the field of research.
Originality/value
The review also offers clarification in understanding the current and upcoming trends within the creative industry, SMEs and COVID-19. This paper can thus help researchers, industry practitioners and managers discover and analyze the recovery challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract
Purpose
Technology uptake in supply chains frequently encounters challenges when immediate, tangible benefits are not evident. Therefore, this article's central objective is to pinpoint the risks affecting the integration of supply chain technologies for enduring outcomes. Subsequently, these risks will be organized into a hierarchical structure, facilitating a clearer comprehension of their direct and indirect interconnections.
Design/methodology/approach
A combined TISM and quantitative approach has been used to build the hierarchal structure and to validate the direct, and indirect relationship among risks adopting supply chain technologies. A total of 41 respondents participated in the TISM survey, which resulted in creating a level hierarchical structure. Further, 233 responses are used for the quantitative study using SEM to validate the model obtained from TISM.
Findings
The study's findings indicated the social risks come out with the highest driving power. This includes the fear of job displacement, community disparity and change in the work culture of an organization. At the same time, technological risks can cause system integration, scalability issues, obsolesce compatibility issues, system failures and supply chain sustainability issues.
Originality/value
The novelty of the study can be found in the developed framework and its subsequent confirmation via quantitative evaluation. TISM provides the theoretical foundation, while a quantitative investigation is carried out to verify this theory.

Abstract
Purpose
The study examines the role of how Digital Twin Technology and stakeholder collaboration in enhancing supply chain resilience and agility, specifically within humanitarian aspects. The author used theoretical lenses of Resource-Based View to understand how combining advanced technological resources and relational resources could lead a firm towards better supply chain performance in conditions of volatility and complexity.
Design/methodology/approach
The study employs a quantitative research approach, utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM) to analyse data collected from key stakeholders involved in humanitarian supply chains. The model tests the relationships between Digital Twin Integration, stakeholder collaboration and the resulting supply chain outcomes, that is resilience and agility.
Findings
The findings indicate that Digital Twin Technology notably improves supply chain resilience and agility driven by real-time sensing, predictive analytics and process alignment. Additionally, stakeholder collaboration plays a mediator role in enabling organizations to gain full benefits of DTT. The research corroborates the importance of a combined use of technological and relational resources to enable an agile and resilient supply chain, especially in humanitarian settings.
Originality/value
The research makes a novel theoretical contribution by extending the Resource-Based View to appreciate advanced technologies like Digital Twin Technology and their integration in supply chains. The study presents a comprehensive model that integrates technology, collaboration, agility and offers new perspectives on the value of stakeholder engagement to ensure technological innovation delivers its optimum benefits.

Abstract
Purpose
E-retailers face challenges in adding, engaging and retaining customers. Voice interface is a new and more inclusive modality that provides customers with a hands-free, convenient e-shopping option and is relevant for e-retailers. However, the voice interface is significantly different from the text interface that consumers are accustomed to. This study investigates customer experiences with voice interface for search and selection of products on e-commerce platforms and its subsequent impact on customer engagement and enhanced usage.
Design/methodology/approach
We conducted 34 in-depth interviews with executive management students. For analysis and findings, we used a grounded theory paradigm and thematic analysis.
Findings
Based on in-depth probing and analysis consumers' experiences with voice interfaces in e-commerce platforms, we identified two enablers: customer satisfaction and awe-experience that positively impacted and two inhibitors: risk perceptions and inertia that negatively impacted customer engagement and enhanced usage of voice interface.
Originality/value
Voice interface is transforming the customer journey in the online shopping domain. How customers experience voice interfaces when searching and selecting products on e-commerce platforms impacts their engagement with the platform and their intentions to use voice modality to interact with the e-retailer in the future. The findings substantiate tenets of dual-process theory and found that enabling and inhibiting factors are independent and can coexist. The study identifies the most salient factors that positively and negatively affect customer engagement and enhanced usage of voice interfaces.
