Abstract
Purpose
Drawing on conservation of resources theory, this paper aims to propose that daily multitasking increases employees’ daily role pressure, ultimately hindering their service innovation behavior. Furthermore, we suggest that trait mindfulness may mitigate this negative impact.
Design/methodology/approach
To empirically test the study hypotheses, this paper conducted a multilevel diary field study, collecting data from 64 employees over 10 working days to comprehensively validate the theoretical model.
Findings
The findings indicate that daily multitasking indirectly reduces daily service innovation behavior by increasing employee role pressure. Notably, this indirect effect is more pronounced among employees with lower trait mindfulness, while it is less significant for those with higher trait mindfulness.
Practical implications
Hotels should manage multitasking, reduce employee stress and promote service innovation by optimizing task allocation and redesigning work processes. Additionally, hotel management should adopt a multifaceted and innovative approach to foster mindfulness traits.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the literature on multitasking and innovation by examining how and when daily multitasking influences employee service innovation behavior.

Abstract
Purpose
The study constructs a novel theoretical model based on resource orchestration theory and examines it using data from Ghanaian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Design/methodology/approach
Entrepreneurial bricolage (EB) represents a creative mechanism by which SMEs navigate resource challenges to become competitive. The purpose of this paper is to examine the link between EB to both innovation performance and firm performance among manufacturing SMEs in Ghana. In addition, we also examine the mediating role of polychronicity in the relationship between EB, innovation performance and firm performance.
Findings
The results suggest that EB positively and significantly influences both innovation performance and firm performance. Furthermore, polychronicity partially mediates the relationship between EB and innovation performance and between EB and firm performance.
Originality/value
This study enhances our understanding of the conditions under which EB may facilitate the attainment of innovation and firm performance among manufacturing SMEs. These findings also proffer practical and managerial implications for managing SMEs under resource constraints.

Abstract
Purpose
Elucidating on the theoretical framework of conservation of resource and social identity theories, we aim to explore the association between work-family conflict (bidirectional, i.e. work-to-family conflict (WFC) and family-to-work conflict (FWC)) and affective commitment (AC) via emotional exhaustion (EE). Besides, the buffering effect of organizational identification (OI) in the bi-directional work-family conflict and EE relationship and perceived interactional justice (PIJ) between EE and AC were also tested.
Design/methodology/approach
A multi-time study was conducted in which data from 675 doctors working in different public hospitals across India were gathered at three-time intervals (T1, T2 and T3). The collected data were then analyzed using statistical software tools, namely AMOS 24 and SPSS v23.
Findings
It was indicated that WFC and FWC have a significant negative association with AC. EE was shown to mediate the relationship between bi-directional work-family conflict and AC. Additionally, OI buffered the relationship between WFC, FWC and EE. Moreover, PIJ was established as a moderating factor in the relationship between EE and AC.
Originality/value
This paper provides a new insight into the work-family conflict-AC relationship by examining it through the mediating role of EE. It offers a nuanced understanding by establishing the buffering effects of OI in the bi-directional WFC and EE. To our knowledge, this research represents the inaugural attempt to investigate the moderating influence of PIJ in the relationship between EE and AC.

Abstract
Purpose
This study, respectively, explored the mediating and moderating influences of psychological availability and ethical leadership on the relationship between occupational stress and project performance among construction workers in Ghana.
Design/methodology/approach
Employing partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4, this quantitative cross-sectional study analysed survey data from 677 construction project workers who were recruited through simple random sampling technique.
Findings
The results demonstrate that occupational stress negatively predicts both project performance and psychological availability of construction project workers. Psychological availability and ethical leadership mediate and moderate the stress-project performance relationship, respectively.
Practical implications
The findings suggest that ethical leadership and attention to psychological well-being are key to managing occupational stress and enhancing project performance in high-stress environments like construction.
Originality/value
This study contributes to the understanding of occupational stress in project management by integrating psychological and leadership factors through conservation of resource theory, social exchange theory and the job demands-resources model.

Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the social acceptance of renewable and non-renewable energies in Iran using the social acceptance pyramid.
Design/methodology/approach
Today, social acceptance is considered a very important phenomenon in the development, implementation and achievement of energy policy goals. Low acceptance will make it difficult to achieve energy development goals; therefore, social acceptance must be taken into account when making policy. Firstly, the model criteria, using data obtained from questionnaires, are weighted by the Shannon entropy method and, finally, four sources of fossil, nuclear, wind and solar energy were ranked by means of VIKOR, Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS).
Findings
The results show that, in Iran, the social acceptance criterion and trust sub-criterion are the most important criteria for energy acceptance. The results of the ranking of options based on multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques show that, given Iran's specific energy requirements, social acceptance of fossil energy is higher than wind, solar and nuclear, and wind, solar and nuclear energy come later in the rankings.
Originality/value

Abstract
Purpose
In the present article, sensitivity analysis was studied in the presence of the combined effects of thermal radiation, suction and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) effects on a Nimonic 80A-Fe3O4/water hybrid nanofluid across moving a wedge with variable surface temperature and buoyancy effects.
Design/methodology/approach
The governing equations were transformed using similarity transformations and solved using MATLAB bvp4c code and response surface methodology (RSM), with quadratic face-centred central composite design being implemented. All results and graphs were formulated after positive outcomes of our results with existing literature.
Findings
An increase in magnetic parameter (M) and velocity ratio parameter (R) resulted in an increase in velocity profiles and local Nusselt number, while a reverse trend was observed for temperature profiles. With radiation parameter Rd = 0.8, the local Nusselt number increased by 4.08% as the velocity ratio parameter increased from R = 0.0 to R = 0.5. The Nusselt number was found to be most sensitive to R, while the latter produced negative sensitivity on skin friction coefficient. The skin friction coefficient for the hybrid nanofluid model increased by 35.39% compared to the regular fluid model, with a very low standard deviation value of 10−4. The Model F-value for Nusselt number model was found to be 939278.49 with a noise ratio of 3618.711. Skin friction coefficient was found to be most sensitive with respect to changes in the parametric values of M.
Research limitations/implications
Nimonic 80A being a super-alloy of nickel-iron-chromium and built in high frequency melting, it can work up to 1500°F and is extensively used in automobile exhaust valves.
Practical implications
The present study finds numerous applications in biotoxicity studies, medical industries, water heaters and the forging of hot exhaust valve heads.
Originality/value
In view of various applications of our present study, there remains a gap in examining the sensitivity analysis of a hybrid nanofluid flow model across a moving permeable wedge using the Tiwari–Das model, which required clinical investigations numerically and statistically.

Abstract
The concept of smart city has been adopted by various cities across the world. As urbanization is enlarging at a flying pace, the number of cities that engage the smart city concept is to rise, including in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This chapter discusses issues related to the development of (Islamic) smart cities in the GCC countries to create sustainable well-being through ecological and environmental resilience. This issue starts from the conflict between economic and human development on the one hand and ecological and environmental resilience on the other hand as one of the fundamental challenges of sustainable development. The higher the Human Development Index (HDI),, the higher the ecological footprint. Likewise, in the GCC region, all member countries are classified as Very High Human Development; however, all of these countries have a high ecological footprint. Therefore, through a literature study, this chapter focuses on investigating the development of (Islamic) smart cities in the GCC countries in reducing ecological footprints through a circular economy innovation with the support of technology and a digitally-enabled community in creating ecological and environmental resilience. This chapter provides valuable insight into the implementation of the (Islamic) smart cities in the GCC region in taking a global strategic role in green transition through the circular economy to transform their region toward sustainable well-being and become a symbol of sustainable smart global Islamic civilization.

Abstract
Purpose
Hotel servicescapes have been extensively examined in the literature; however, there has been less attention on green servicescapes that attract consumers to visit green hotels. This model explores the relationship among green servicescapes – green items, green surfaces, natural environment, green consumerism and their outcomes, including intentions to return and green evangelism with a moderating role of green perceived quality.
Design/methodology/approach
The multi-wave method was utilized to gather data from China's major cities, Beijing and Shanghai. A total of 462 responses were received over three waves. Subsequently, the data were analyzed employing structural equation modeling (SEM) in Smart PLS 4.
Findings
The findings indicated that green servicescape – green items, green surfaces and natural environment – have a positive impact on green consumerism. The authors have discovered that green consumerism leads to positive intentions among consumers to return and engage in green evangelism. Green perceived quality significantly moderated the relationship between green servicescape and green consumerism.
Research limitations/implications
The study offers insightful contributions to academia and managerial fields, encompassing consumer psychology, consumer behaviour, the stimulus-organism-response (SOR) framework and servicescapes. Additionally, it assists hotel managers in addressing challenges stemming from the competitive environment and creating a more environmentally friendly atmosphere.
Originality/value
The research focused on the innovative reflective model of green consumerism model and adopted a pioneering approach to examine green servicescapes within the hotel industry. This study enhances understanding of consumer intentions to return and the influence of green consumerism on green evangelism, while also quantifying the significance of green perceived quality.

Purpose
Thermophoresis deposition of particles is a crucial stage in the spread of microparticles over temperature gradients and is significant for aerosol and electrical technologies. To track changes in mass deposition, the effect of particle thermophoresis is therefore seen in a mixed convective flow of Williamson hybrid nanofluids upon a stretching/shrinking sheet.
Design/methodology/approach
The PDEs are transformed into ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using the similarity technique and then the bvp4c solver is employed for the altered transformed equations. The main factors influencing the heat, mass and flow profiles are displayed graphically.
Findings
The findings imply that the larger effects of the thermophoretic parameter cause the mass transfer rate to drop for both solutions. In addition, the suggested hybrid nanoparticles significantly increase the heat transfer rate in both outcomes. Hybrid nanoparticles work well for producing the most energy possible. They are essential in causing the flow to accelerate at a high pace.
Practical implications
The consistent results of this analysis have the potential to boost the competence of thermal energy systems.
Originality/value
It has not yet been attempted to incorporate hybrid nanofluids and thermophoretic particle deposition impact across a vertical stretching/shrinking sheet subject to double-diffusive mixed convection flow in a Williamson model. The numerical method has been validated by comparing the generated numerical results with the published work.

Try to find a way to treat wastewater and achieve its purification from suspended waste, which was removed by examining the magneto-Williamson fluid on a horizontal cylindrical tube while taking advantage of solar radiation and nanotechnology.
Design/methodology/approach
The effect of Cattaneo–Christoph law of heat transfer, solar radiation, oblique magnetic field, porosity and internal heat generation on the flow was studied. The control system was solved by the numerical technique of Chebyshev pseudospectrum (CPS) with the help of the program MATHEMATICA 12. The tables comparing the published data results with the existing numerical calculation match exactly.
Findings
The tables comparing the published data results with the existing numerical calculation match exactly. The current simulation results indicate that when using variable viscosity, the Nusselt number and surface friction decrease significantly compared to their value in the case of constant viscosity, and variable viscosity has a significant effect on flow, which reduces speed. Curves and increasing temperature profiles.
Originality/value
Developing a theoretical framework for the problem of sewage turbidity in a healthier and less costly way, by studying the flow of Williamson fluid with variable viscosity (to describe the intensity of sewage turbidity) on a horizontal cylindrical tube, and taking advantage of nanotechnology, solar radiation, Christoph’s thermal law and internal heat generation to reach water free of impurities. Inclined magnetic force and porous force were used, both of which played an effective role in the purification process.
