Abstract
With the global market for advanced technology-driven customer service set to soar, understanding the complicated relationship between advanced technology and customer purchase behaviour is paramount. While prior research has touched upon the impact of technology on purchase processes in some aspects, this study investigates the specific features of advanced technology that shape customer purchase intention in greater depth. By investigating when and under what conditions customers choose advanced technology-based purchases, this research sheds light on the evolving landscape of consumer decision-making and it seeks to quantify the transformative power of advanced technology in driving customer purchase intentions.

Abstract
Purpose
There have been numerous publications on human monkeypox since it was reported. With the help of bibliometric analysis, this study examined research hotspots and future trends related to human monkeypox. Science mapping was used in this study to identify influential monkeypox researchers, institutions, articles, keywords, thematic structures, and clusters of articles.
Design/methodology/approach
Based on a validated search query, bibliometric analysis of data collected from Web of Science from 1989 to September 2022 was conducted. Using the “Title-Keyword-Abstract” search option, the search query consisted of keywords “Monkeypox” OR “Monkeypox virus” OR “monkeypox” OR “monkey pox” OR “MPXV.” With the state-of-the-art tools Bibliometrix package of R Studio and VOSviewer, performance analysis and science mapping, as a part of standard bibliometric research of monkeypox research were conducted.
Findings
Researchers published 708 monkeypox papers from 1989 to September 2022, with American researchers publishing 460 papers. Further, USA had the highest international cooperation in terms of collaborative research output. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a global leader in monkeypox research since it is the most prolific and collaborative organization. There have been the most published papers on monkeypox in the Journal of Virology. Damon Inger K is also the most prolific and influential researcher in monkeypox research, with the highest number of publications and citations. In total, 1,679 keywords were identified in the study. From the cluster analysis four themes were identified in monkeypox research. They are (1) clinical features, (2) monkeypox virus epidemiology, (3) monkeypox virus vaccine defense, and (4) monkeypox virus-related treatment measures.
Originality/value
Analysis of collaboration, findings, networks of research, and visualization separates this study from traditional metrics analysis. Currently, there are no similar studies with similar objectives based on the authors' knowledge.

Abstract
Purpose
Cavitation plays a significant role in the performance of textured journal bearings. Furthermore, because of the usage of low-viscosity lubricants and the high working speed of machines, it is pertinent to consider the lubricant inertia while analyzing the operating characteristics of bearings. This paper aims to investigate the influence of lubricant inertia in the case of a spherically textured journal bearing, considering both protrusion and dimple texturing and implementing the mass-conserving (JFO) boundary conditions.
Design/methodology/approach
A novel modified Reynolds equation has been developed to accommodate the effects of lubricant inertia and cavitation. The cavitation is treated by using mass-conserving (Jakobsson−Floberg−Olsson [JFO]) boundary conditions. The governing equation is solved by the Gauss−Seidel method with successive over-relaxation. To enhance computational efficiency and expedite the convergence process, the progressive mesh densification (PMD) method has been integrated into the solution process.
Findings
The current study indicates that the JFO boundary conditions result in higher load-carrying capacity and lesser friction variables for heavily loaded bearings, whereas the flow coefficient is reduced due to the application of JFO boundary conditions. The lubricant inertia effect enhances the flow coefficients for lightly loaded and protrusion-textured bearings.
Originality/value
It is crucial to understand the combined effects of lubricant inertia and cavitation for the effective design of textured journal bearings. The findings from this work will help in designing textured journal bearings more effectively and accurately, particularly when low-viscosity oil is used.

Abstract
Purpose
The present study scrutinizes the relative performance of various near-wall treatments coupled with two-equation RANS models to explore the turbulence transport mechanism in terms of the kinetic energy budget in a plane wall jet and the significance of the near-wall molecular and turbulent shear, to select the best combination among the models which reveals wall jet characteristics most efficiently.
Design/methodology/approach
A two-dimensional steady incompressible plane wall jet in a quiescent surrounding is simulated using ANSYS-Fluent solver. Three near-wall treatments, namely the Standard Wall Function (SWF), Enhanced Wall Treatment (EWT) and Menter-Lechner (ML) treatment coupled with Realisable, RNG and Standard k-e models and also the Standard and Shear-Stress Transport (SST) k-ω models are employed for this investigation.
Findings
The ML treatment slightly overestimated the budget components on an outer scale, whereas the k-ω models strikingly underestimated them. In the buffer layer at the inner scale, the SWF highly over-predicts turbulent production and dissipation and k-ω models over-predict dissipation. Appreciably accurate inner and outer scale k-budgets are observed with the EWT schemes. With a sufficiently resolved near-wall mesh, the Realisable model with EWT exhibits the mean flow, turbulence characteristics and turbulence energy transport even better than the SST k-ω model.
Originality/value
Three distinct near-wall strategies are chosen for comparative performance analysis, focusing not only on the mean flow and turbulence characteristics but the turbulence energy budget as well, for finding the best combination, having potential as a viable and low-cost alternative to LES and DNS for wall jet simulation in industrial application.

Abstract
Purpose
Supply chain (SC) research has boomed over the past two decades. Significant contributions have been made to the field from various analytical and decision-making perspectives. This paper, a comprehensive bibliometric study, aims to identify the key research contributors, institutions and themes.
Design/methodology/approach
A comprehensive knowledge domain visualization of over 1,000 articles, published between 2000 and 2022, is carried out to construct a bird’s eye view of the field in terms of research production, key authors, main publication outlets, geographic disparity of the contributions and emerging research trends. Additionally, collaboration patterns among researchers and institutions are mapped to highlight the communication networks underlying research initiatives.
Findings
Results show an explosive growth in the number of articles tackling supply chain optimization (SCO) issues with a significant concentration of the contributions in a relatively small cluster of authors, journals, institutions and countries. Among the many important findings, our analysis indicates that mixed-integer linear programming is the most commonly used model, while robust optimization is the method of choice for handling uncertainty. Furthermore, most SC models are developed at only one level of the organizational hierarchy and consider only one planning horizon. The importance of developing integrated SCO systems is key for future research.
Originality/value
The study fills the optimization techniques gap that exists in SC management bibliometric studies and presents a thematic map for the SCO research highlighting the various research foci.

Abstract
Purpose
This study explores the linkages between various attributes, consequences and values of casino restaurants and the differences in the hierarchical value maps between female and male customers and between casino players and non-casino players.
Design/methodology/approach
This study was conducted using the means-end chain (MEC) theory. The data were collected using the hard-laddering method. Two hundred forty-one responses were analyzed.
Findings
Attributes such as “taste,” “reasonable prices,” and “discounts” were associated with the values “personal happiness,” “considered,” “life satisfaction,” and “life-quality enhancement” at casino restaurants. Males were found to hold “prompt services” as important when dining at casino restaurants, while females held a “spacious environment” to be critical. Furthermore, “use of casino complimentary credits” was important to casino players, while “free parking” and “comfortable seats” mattered for non-casino players.
Practical implications
It is suggested that casinos add more Asian cuisines in their casino restaurants in Macao to attract customers who value culinary and cultural exploration while simultaneously satisfying tourists from neighboring regions who wish to enjoy familiar foods when they visit Macao. In addition, the authors recommend that casinos develop menu items that can be served quickly to casino players.
Originality/value
This study is based on the MEC theory and broadens the range of studies on casino restaurants. Furthermore, it provides useful information to guide casino restauranteurs in developing their marketing and operational strategies for different customer segments.

Abstract
One of the more plausible methods of establishing an off-world human society is to transport a small number of adults alongside a large supply of frozen embryos. This would minimize the costs of transportation and protect genomic diversity across future generations. However, there are various ethical issues with attempting off-world pregnancies, in terms of unknown risks to pregnant people and fetuses, and potential discrimination concerns if the adults selected for the mission are required to be willing and able to gestate this genetically diverse population of embryos. An alternative would be the development and use of artificial womb technology (ectogenesis) to perform this latter function. Benefits might include freeing all crewmembers to devote all their energies to establishing the off-world facility without pregnancy-related illness affecting health and productivity, and providing a safer environment for fetal development, for example, providing additional radiation shielding around the artificial wombs. This chapter will explore some of the ethical issues surrounding ectogenesis and its space applications.

Purpose
We explored whether (1) an informational intervention improves ratings of individuals on the autism spectrum (IotAS) in a job interview by curbing salience bias and whether expert-based influence amplifies this effect (Study 1); (2) the effect of disclosure of autism on ratings depends on a candidate’s presentation as IotAS or neurotypical (Studies 1 and 2) and (3) social desirability bias affects ratings of and emotional responses to disclosers (Study 2).
Design/methodology/approach
In two studies, participants, randomly assigned to experimental conditions, watched a mock job interview of a candidate presenting as an IotAS or neurotypical and reported their perception of his job suitability and selection decision. Study 2 additionally measured participants’ traits associated with social desirability bias, self-reported emotions and involuntary emotions gauged via face-reading software.
Findings
In Study 1, the informational intervention improved ratings of the IotAS-presenting candidate; delivery by an expert made no difference. Disclosure increased ratings of both the IotAS-presenting and neurotypical-presenting candidates, especially the former, and information mattered more in the absence of disclosure. In Study 2, disclosure improved ratings of the IotAS-presenting candidate only; no evidence of social desirability bias emerged.
Originality/value
We explain that an informational intervention works by attenuating salience bias, focusing raters on IotAS' qualifications rather than on their unexpected behavior. We also show that disclosure is less helpful for IotAS who behave more neuronormatively and social desirability bias affects neither ratings of nor emotional responses to IotAS-presenting job candidates.
