Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to understand the relationship between social audit (SA) and sustainable corporate social responsibility (SCSR). Furthermore, this study will investigate the mediating effect of corporate social innovation (CSI) on the relationship between SA and SCSR and the moderating impact of community participation (CP) on the relationship between CSI and SCSR.
Design/methodology/approach
This research was conducted in Odisha, a state in India, with 448 respondents and a response rate of 89%. The convenience sampling technique was used, and questionnaires were prepared in English and translated into regional languages during data collection. Psychological separation and Harman’s single-factor test were used to avoid common method bias. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed step by step to validate the proposed model.
Findings
The current study indicates that SA positively impacts SCSR. Findings from the analysis show that CSI partially mediates the relationship between SA and SCSR. Furthermore, this study indicates that CP moderates the relationship between CSI and SCSR.
Originality/value
This study is one of its kind concerning the variables considered, and it can work as a stepping stone for upgrading the delivery mechanism for corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, which can solve the fundamental problems faced in society more effectively. It will provide new paths for future researchers to study in the area of audit and CSR.

Abstract
Purpose
The purpose of this study is to conduct a comprehensive review of ChatGPT in the education sector. By delving into the published literature, the research aims to uncover the benefits, drawbacks, present applications and prospective uses of ChatGPT for various stakeholders.
Design/methodology/approach
The research employs quantitative methodologies. Utilizing the Scopus database, the authors applied the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses framework to gather data. Additionally, the study includes a bibliometric analysis conducted through the VOSviewer visualization tool and R Studio to achieve the research objectives.
Findings
ChatGPT is making a transformative impact on the education sector. A thorough literature review revealed that ChatGPT has several benefits and drawbacks for students and educators. Additionally, the study sheds light on present applications of ChatGPT and explores its prospective uses for its key stakeholders.
Research limitations/implications
PRISMA methodology in systematic reviews faces challenges in handling publication bias and evaluating study quality. Systematic reviews are limited by their inability to comprehensively cover all relevant research and depend on the quality of included studies. Bibliometric analyses may oversimplify research landscapes, neglecting qualitative insights. The research relies on existing literature, introducing potential biases due to varied accessibility. The study’s focus on the Scopus database and time constraints may exclude recent significant studies.
Practical implications
The study has several recommendations for educational institutions, students, educators, administrative staff and ChatGPT service providers. These recommendations collectively aim to provide comprehensive guidance to stakeholders, fostering an environment where ChatGPT can effectively transform the education sector.
Originality/value
This research conducts a comprehensive examination of ChatGPT in the education sector, with a primary emphasis on exploring its prospective uses for students, educators and administrative staff. By highlighting the potential benefits, the study aims to provide key stakeholders with opportunities to leverage ChatGPT for the transformation of the education sector.

Purpose
Under a rapidly changing and disruptive environment, the need for resilient, sustainable and survival-oriented performances is currently urgent. To deal with these challenges, the reconfigurable capabilities of blockchain technology (BT) can support supply chains (SC) to be resilient and survive during disruptions while maintaining sustainability goals. Through the lens of the dynamic capability view (DCV), this study aims to investigate the impact of adopting the dynamic capabilities of BT to achieve the resilient–sustainable–survival (RSS) paradigm under a disruptive context.
Design/methodology/approach
This study follows the DCV to develop theoretical hypotheses and adopts structural equation modeling to examine and analyze the impact of BT’s capabilities on the triple aspects of the RSS paradigm. It uses the partial least squares technique to evaluate the weight of the correlations among the constructs, test the dependencies of its relationships and assess the model’s power for predicting the outcome variables.
Findings
Based on the empirical evidence from the manufacturing and assembling SCs, this study provides insights into the interplay of the sensing, seizing and transforming capabilities of BT, and the most needed ones to fit the expectations of the RSS model. It shows that such capabilities can have a significant impact and can be a powerful tool that contributes to the enhancement of the RSS’s aspects in SC networks.
Originality/value
This study represents one of the initial queries to conceptualize the RSS model of the SC within a disruptive context. For researchers, it adds more understanding of the deployment of the DCV in the technology adoption area. For practitioners, it helps identify the capabilities of BT and their potential to fit the expectations for the RSS paradigm.

Abstract
Purpose
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) fruits are rich in bioactive components, specifically in anthocyanins. In this study, freeze-dried and powdered elderberry fruits were added to milk, yoghurt and kefir samples at ratios of 5, 10 and 15% (w/w) to fortify these dairy products at home scale, and final products were monitored to understand the behaviour of bioactive compounds.
Design/methodology/approach
The action of bioactive compounds was examined before and after in vitro gastrointestinal digestion by the analysis of total anthocyanin content, total phenolic content and antioxidant activity assays as well as the HPLC-PDA system on the first day of preparation. Moreover, the effect of three days of storage on individual phenolic compounds was evaluated.
Findings
Kefir samples exhibited the highest total anthocyanin content levels among prepared products (255±4-702±65 µmol cyanidin-3-glucoside eq/100 g), which is followed by yoghurt samples. Individual phenolics in samples prepared at the same concentrations behaved almost similarly with each other during gastric digestion phases (p > 0.05), whereas intestinal digestion phases caused significant differences, and phenolics in yoghurt samples exhibited higher values than others (p < 0.05). The stability of bioactive compounds in samples tended to decrease during storage; however, as observed during gastrointestinal digestion, yoghurt and kefir samples provided better matrices than milk to maintain the presence of bioactive compounds (p < 0.05).
Originality/value
Previous studies have indicated that elderberry fruits contain high levels of bioactive compounds, and these fruits have been used to fortify different food matrices. However, this research paper investigates the interaction between three selected dairy products and elderberry powder with each other for the first time.

Purpose
This study aims to understand the current production scenario emphasizing the significance of green manufacturing in achieving economic and environmental sustainability goals to fulfil future needs; to determine the viability of particular strategies and actions performed to increase the process efficiency of electrical discharge machining; and to uphold the values of sustainability in the nonconventional manufacturing sector and to identify future works in this regard.
Design/methodology/approach
A thorough analysis of numerous experimental studies and findings is conducted. This prominent nontraditional machining process’s potential machinability and sustainability challenges are discussed, along with the current research to alleviate them. The focus is placed on modifications to the dielectric fluid, choosing affordable substitutes and treating consumable tool electrodes.
Findings
Trans-esterified vegetable oils, which are biodegradable and can be used as a substitute for conventional dielectric fluids, provide pollution-free machining with enhanced surface finish and material removal rates. Modifying the dielectric fluid with specific nanomaterials could increase the machining rate and demonstrate a decrease in machining flaws such as micropores, globules and microcracks. Tool electrodes subjected to cryogenic treatment have shown reduced tool metal consumption and downtime for the setup.
Practical implications
The findings suggested eco-friendly machining techniques and optimized control settings that reduce energy consumption, lowering operating expenses and carbon footprints. Using eco-friendly dielectrics, including vegetable oils or biodegradable dielectric fluids, might lessen the adverse effects of the electrical discharge machine operations on the environment. Adopting sustainable practices might enhance a business’s reputation with the public, shareholders and clients because sustainability is becoming increasingly significant across various industries.
Originality/value
A detailed general review of green nontraditional electrical discharge machining process is provided, from high-quality indexed journals. The findings and results contemplated in this review paper can lead the research community to collectively apply it in sustainable techniques to enhance machinability and reduce environmental effects.
