Abstract
Purpose
This paper, drawing on self-enhancement theory and from employee perspective, aims to develop and validate an integrative theoretical model that centers on the trust–psychological ownership (PO) link to investigate information and communications technology (ICT) employee work outcomes.
Design/methodology/approach
A cross-sectional survey with PLS-SEM analysis of 424 employees in ICT industry in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, reports that all of 10 hypotheses are empirically supported.
Findings
PO is found to be an important driver of employee flow, job performance and psychological wellbeing. Moreover, it is posited that trust acts a moderator of the relationship between flow experience and job performance, and between job performance and psychological wellbeing.
Originality/value
To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this paper is among the first to affirm that trust in work environment serves as both an enabler for PO and a moderator for the relationship between flow experience–job performance as well as between job performance–psychological wellbeing path. The study also affirms that flow state plays a mediating role in the PO–job performance path, and that job performance acts as a mediator in the flow experience–psychological wellbeing sequence. Finally, new evidence expectedly highlights the positive impact of job performance, a short-term work outcome, on psychological wellbeing, a long-term work outcome.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to evaluate the impact of green human resource management on cognitive factors, employees' pro-environmental behavior and the environmental performance of hotels in Vietnam.
Design/methodology/approach
Drawing upon primary data collected from a sample of 393 hotel employees, this study utilizes covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) to test hypotheses and conduct path analysis.
Findings
The study’s findings reveal several key insights. Firstly, GHRM positively influences environmental knowledge (EK), environmental attitude (EA), attitude toward pro-environmental behavior (APB), pro-environmental behavior (PB) of employees and environmental performance (EP) of hotels. Additionally, the results also indicate that EK promotes EA, APB and PB, and both EA and EK can predict PB of employees. Surprisingly, the results from CB-SEM analysis reject the direct impact of APB on PB. Moreover, this study also confirmed the positive influence of PB on EP of hotels. Notably, the research delves into the moderating effect of work overload (WO) on the associations between GHRM and PB, as well as APB and PB.
Practical implications
The findings offer valuable recommendations for hotel managers and policymakers, aiming for effective GHRM practices and improvement of employees’ PB and EP of hotels.
Originality/value
This study broadens the understanding of sustainable management practices, specifically in human resource management in the hospitality industry. Notably, it identifies significant avenues to address theoretical gaps left by previous studies.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of several constructs on young customers’ consumption of solar energy appliances in an emerging market by extending the theory of planned behavior (TPB).
Design/methodology/approach
This study collected primary data from 885 young customers in an emerging market, that is, Vietnam. Subsequently, this study used partial least squares structural equation modeling to investigate the relationships between examined variables.
Findings
The results indicated that personal innovativeness, environmental knowledge and renewable energy knowledge significantly improved attitudes toward solar energy appliances. In addition, purchasing intention is promoted by subjective norms and perceived behavioral control. Contradictorily, the perceived functional risk is a significant barrier to purchasing intention. It also negatively moderates two associations: attitude and purchasing intention, attitude and positive word-of-mouth. Despite being proven to influence word-of-mouth positively, attitude has no significant impact on purchasing intention.
Originality/value
These findings suggested several implications for enterprises, technology providers and policymakers to develop renewable energy appliance consumption.
