Abstract
Purpose
This paper investigates the impact of individualistic (health) and collectivistic considerations (environmental) on the purchasing intention of organic foods.
Design/methodology/approach
The study collected 391 responses from service holders of diversified tiers from Bangladesh. It considers two-step structural equation model (SEM), as well as the Ordinal Logistic regression to analyze the fact.
Findings
SEM analysis explores that, both the individualistic and collectivistic considerations affect purchasing intention of organic foods. The regression result finds that income, the number of earning members, occupation, age and BMI are influential determinants of weekly purchasing frequency of organic foods. This research suggests, along with consumer's economic solvency an organized market with dissemination of health and environmental benefits of organic foods acts as a catalyst for purchasing intention of those products.
Research limitations/implications
However, there is still scope of investigating intention-behavior gap between the actual purchasing behavior and purchasing intention, which is not addressed in this study.
Originality/value
To understand the perception of comparatively educated and solvent people toward purchasing intention of organic foods, this research is one of the pioneering attempts in the context of an unorganized organic food market.

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to present a bibliometric analysis of affordable and clean energy research, focusing on key themes, collaboration patterns and the field’s intellectual structure.
Design/methodology/approach
Using a sample of 37 articles from Scopus, the authors identified the most frequently used keywords, the most productive countries and organizations and categorized research themes into niche, motor, basic and emerging or declining themes. “Clean Energy,” “Renewable Energy” and “Affordable and Clean Energy” emerged as dominant keywords, highlighting the field’s alignment with global sustainability goals. The USA, China and India were found to be the most productive countries, while institutions like Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College and Nigerian National Petroleum Company played pivotal roles in collaborative networks, reflecting a globalized and interdisciplinary research environment.
Findings
The thematic analysis revealed that motor themes, such as “Climate Change” and “Greenhouse Gases”, are central to the discourse, while topics like “Economic Development” and “Energy Conservation” were identified as niche areas. Basic themes, including “Carbon Dioxide” and “Electricity Industry,” remain foundational yet underdeveloped.
Originality/value
This study provides a structured overview of the affordable and clean energy research landscape, offering insights into current trends and identifying areas for future exploration, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and socio-economic impacts.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to investigate the impact of climate change risk disclosure (CCRD) on Corporate Value while exploring how corporate characteristics such as size, financial performance and leverage may moderate this relationship.
Design/methodology/approach
This research used a sample of 50 companies from the EGX100 index on the Egypt Stock Exchange, covering the years 2018–2022 (250 observations). For the first hypothesis, the authors use ordinary least squares regression, while for the other hypotheses, the authors use the PROCESS program developed by Andrew F. Hayes to analyze moderation.
Findings
The findings indicate a negative association between CCRD and corporate value. However, the extent of this influence can vary depending on the company’s characteristics. Specifically, CCRD negatively affects the value of small-sized, less profitable and highly leveraged corporates. Conversely, it positively impacts the value of large-sized, more profitable and less leveraged corporates.
Research limitations/implications
The findings have significant implications for stakeholders in Egypt and similar developing countries. This significance stems from the substantial impact of CCRD on corporate value. CCRD can heighten investors’ perception of risk as a new risk factor, potentially leading to increased corporate risk. Therefore, CCRD is vital in identifying corporate value reflected in stock prices.
Originality/value
As far as we know, this is the pioneering study in Egypt to offer new evidence on how CCRD affects corporate value. It investigates the moderating role of corporate characteristics, such as corporate size, financial performance and leverage, in this relationship.

Abstract
Purpose
This study evaluates the two-way relationship between digital capabilities and market competitiveness along with the twofold mediation of circular economy, business model innovation (BMI) and energy policies based on the dynamic capability and ecological modernization theories.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were compiled through questionnaire-based survey from the top management of new ventures and evaluated through partial least squares structural equation modeling to find results.
Findings
The study discovered a two-way relationship between digital capabilities and market competitiveness among new ventures along with the twofold mediation of circular economy and BMI. Surprisingly, the energy policies have no twofold mediation.
Practical implications
The findings have important implications for policy and guide the practitioners to focus on digital efficiencies to attain higher competitive advantage in the light of environmental initiatives.
Originality/value
Although past research has paid wide attention to the defined factors, but to the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the first study in these domains.

Abstract
Purpose
The study deploys Anthias' intersectional framework of social spaces and her concept of translocational positionality to explore the barriers to entrepreneurship for refugee entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom (UK). In particular, the study aims to assess how migrant identities require a specific form of business support.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 32 semi-structured interviews with 14 refugee entrepreneurs and 18 business support agents were conducted between April and October 2022 and, together with field notes, were combined for thematic analysis in NVivo 12.
Findings
Organisational, representational, intersubjective and experiential barriers combined to create practical and psychological deterrents to entrepreneurship for refugees. However, an explicitly humanistic and de-centred approach to business support was (partially) able to counter such barriers.
Practical implications
Policymakers and business support agencies should consider intersectional characteristics and the importance of a compassionate and individual approach when designing business support programmes for refugee entrepreneurs.
Originality/value
Two intersectional concepts of social spaces and translocational positionality are brought into conversation with each other, creating a novel approach to framing the barriers to entrepreneurship for refugees.
