Abstract
Research methodology
This case is based on secondary information and data about the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women initiative and youth entrepreneurship programs from press releases, news articles and websites. The protagonist has been disguised. This case has been classroom-tested in a core MBA course in both face-to-face and online delivery methods.
Case overview/synopsis
In March 2021, Goldman Sachs launched its One Million Black Women initiative which expanded its inclusive growth goals to support Black women entrepreneurs who were under-represented and under-resourced. This initiative is one of Goldman Sachs’s sponsored programs that aid existing entrepreneurs. This program would invest $10bn over the next decade to advance racial equity, promote entrepreneurial activity and increase and economic opportunities for these highly motivated and resilient Black women. With the buzz from this initiative, Johnnetta who was a Black female manager at a financial services competitor of Goldman Sachs conceived another approach to groom and grow future generations of women of color entrepreneurs. Her idea was to implement youth entrepreneurship programs in middle schools in states with high populations of students of color. Based on a psychological theory of entrepreneurship approach, these students would learn about entrepreneurship and gain hands-on experience with starting and operating a business. The program was called “Planting 1000 Seeds of Entrepreneurs” to develop a pipeline of savvy, well-prepared future women of color entrepreneurs. Johnnetta’s dilemma was whether to pitch this new youth entrepreneurship program as an employee at her employer as a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiative or start this program as an entrepreneur of a nonprofit in which she would have sole autonomy to administer this program. This case will enable students to develop ideas into a compelling business pitch while sparking debate about approaches to foster DEI initiatives that will have impactful economic benefits for women of color entrepreneurs.
Complexity academic level
This case is best suited for upper-level undergraduate or graduate students taking business administration courses in management, entrepreneurship, women studies or other courses that cover topics or modules related to DEI initiatives involving women in business.

Abstract
Purpose
Technology serves as a key catalyst in shaping society and the economy, significantly altering customer dynamics. Through a deep understanding of these evolving behaviors, a service can be tailored to address each customer's unique needs and personality. We introduce a strategy to integrate customer complaints with their personality traits, enabling responses that resonate with the customer’s unique personality.
Design/methodology/approach
We propose a strategy to incorporate customer complaints with their personality traits, enabling responses that reflect the customer’s unique personality. Our approach is twofold: firstly, we employ the customer complaints ontology (CCOntology) framework enforced with multi-class classification based on a machine learning algorithm, to classify complaints. Secondly, we leverage the personality measurement platform (PMP), powered by the big five personality model to predict customer’s personalities. We develop the framework for the Indonesian language by extracting tweets containing customer complaints directed towards Indonesia's three biggest e-commerce services.
Findings
By mapping customer complaints and their personality type, we can identify specific personality traits associated with customer dissatisfaction. Thus, personalizing how we offer the solution based on specific characteristics.
Originality/value
The research enriches the state-of-the-art personalizing service research based on captured customer behavior. Thus, our research fills the research gap in considering customer personalities. We provide comprehensive insights by aligning customer feedback with corresponding personality traits extracted from social media data. The result is a highly customized response mechanism attuned to individual customer preferences and requirements.

Abstract
Purpose
The aim of this research, which is based on social identity theory (SIT), is to investigate the effect of leader vision (LV) and crab syndrome (CS) on creativity. The impact of LV and CS, as well as psychological ownership (PO), on creativity is examined. It is also to determine the mediating role of PO and the moderating role of instrumental climate (IC) in these relationships.
Design/methodology/approach
The research was carried out with the quantitative research method by adopting the screening design. Deductive logic approach was used to develop hypotheses and theoretical framework. The textile sector, where the emphasis on creativity is at the forefront, was chosen as an example. Data without common method variance (CMV) error were analyzed by structural equation modeling (SEM).
Findings
The results of the research show that LV is positively related to creativity, while CS is negatively related to creativity. Additionally, a positive correlation has been identified between PO and creativity. It has been revealed that PO has a mediation role in the relationship between the LV and creativity, and the relationship between the CS and creativity. It has been also determined that IC has a moderator role between the LV and PO.
Originality/value
This study introduces a novel perspective on creativity through the integration of the LV and CS concepts. Furthermore, it contributes significantly to the existing creativity literature by examining the impact of PO on creativity and the mediating role of PO.

This study aims to explore Poles’ views regarding pharmaceutical industry transparency, prompted by the Sunshine regulations in the USA and certain European countries.
Abstract
Purpose
This study aims to explore Poles’ views regarding pharmaceutical industry transparency, prompted by the Sunshine regulations in the USA and certain European countries.
Design/methodology/approach
An online survey of a quota sample of 1,057 respondents was conducted. The sample reflected the structure of the Polish population in terms of sex, age, size of place of residence, province and education.
Findings
Poles prioritize legal requirements for the disclosure of gifts, work payments and conference support to doctors over meals. Almost half of Poles (46.7%) would check doctors’ relationships with the pharmaceutical industry if they could, while 38.9% stated they would not seek care from doctors with a relationship. Older individuals, males, those with children and those unvaccinated against COVID-19 are more likely to support increased transparency in industry–doctor relationships. Poles prioritize transparency with patient organizations over doctors. More than half of them believe these organizations should receive support from the state (54.6%) than from the industry (43.4%). A majority of Poles (65.9%) desire to know a patient organization’s income sources before requesting their assistance, and as much as 69.3% of respondents want the law to require disclosures. Older individuals and recent health-care users are more likely to support transparency in pharmaceutical industry–patient organization relationships. Given significant social support for Sunshine regulations, legislators should consider its implementation, as in Poland, only self-regulations of the pharmaceutical industry exist.
Originality/value
In Poland, the discussion about implementing a transparency policy in these relationships has not even started. Furthermore, this study shows that there is significant public interest in such disclosure.
